We now have eight cars lined up for this update, and they are:

Aston Martin DB3S '53 (Gr. X)
BMW Z8 '01 (N400)
Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71 (N200)
Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '99 (N200)
Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07 (N300)
Porsche 356 A Speedster '57 (N100)
Shelby GT350 '65 (N300)
TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00 (N400)

I'm going to expect some track (hopefully Daytona, to coincide with the "Roar before the 24") and the usual updates to GT League, Circuit Experience, Scapes and all the other bells, whistles and other fixes, maybe other surprises too such as enhancements to game modes and features...

INTEGRA TYPE R (DC2)...
It's been confirmed this time, but which will be in GTS?
'95: The earliest and the most extreme model
'98: Minor changed, having 16-inch wheels
'99: Sunlight Yellow added

I think the '98 is the most possible to be in GTS, but I guess some people will have trouble if there's no Sunlight Yellow...

Edit: Why the hell did I write "5-spoke wheels" instead of "16-inch wheels"?
Sorry for my mistake.
I’m hoping the ‘95 then.

Yesterday I took the liberty to compare the 1995 Model from GT6 to the 1999 model from the same game, they're a bit more different than I expected. The 1995 Type R is a bit less refined and has longer gearing than the 1999 Type R, it is also slightly slower at 1:08.063 at tsukuba vs the 1999's 1:07.951. The 99 Type R has a bit wider rear track apparently and in general it has a better turning circle than the 95, 20kg heavier too.

If you ever watched best motoring episode on the integra type R They compared between the 96 and 98 in much better detail , the 98 one is better refined , i would like if they add the 99 instead of the 95

I tested all 3 Integra Type R's (and the USDM Acura version) at Midfield Raceway in GT6 a few years ago and these were the results:

1:27.122 - 407 - Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '95
1:27.427 - 410 - Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '99
1:27.636 - 408 - Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98
1:28.669 - 403 - Acura Integra Type R '01

Isn't the NSX-R a 1992? They produced it through 1995. This is why I hope we'll get the 1995 ITR. Second choice would be 1999. I really don't care about in-between years.

1999:
199 hp / 8,000 rpm
139 ft-lb / 6,500 rpm
1,080 kg

1995:
197 hp / 8,000 rpm
134 ft-lb / 7,500 rpm
1,060 kg

I guess the longer gearing on the 95 helps on longer tracks, while the shorter gearing on the 1999 ITR helps on tracks like tsukuba.

Is it safe to expect some new FF events in GT League? It would seem obvious with the Integra coming.

As far as I know, those GT league updates are always a month later than the car aprears in the game as dlc ?! Or was it with the circuit experience.. one of them.

I know this has been mentioned a couple of times in this thread, but with the 356 coming, I'm really hoping that PD would implement a "retro" driver model with period-correct gear on GTS one day. Assetto Corsa has done a brilliant job on this, but let's not forget that we actually had classic driver models at some point of the series' lifespan... :dopey:

That driver looks like he's up to no good. Like he made whoopee with someone's mother.

Has any game ever replicated VTEC crossover properly?

In the older cars (DC2, EK9 etc) the crossover is a distinct step, like you've flipped a switch at 6k with the noise suddenly getting louder/deeper. In games the noise just gets gradually louder like any other car.

My question is, is it good for FIA?

Not really. Kinda a bummer. Let's wait for the update :)

I just realized the 1995 Integra Type R will become legal to import into the USA next year
good luck buying one :D

No sarcasm.

I believe that North or West layouts of Tokyo will be added. Maybe not now in January. But surely throughout the year they will appear.

It's sad and funny at the same time! After all, most hate this layout in comparison to the classic originals.

Probably, however, I believe Daytona will be the circuit this month.

In view of what was done last July, with addition of La Sarthe, has everything to occur in January the addition of Daytona.

I hope we get Daytona at some point as well but I wouldn't read too much into us getting it now. Sure we got Le Mans around the same time as the 24 hour race but at the same time we didn't get Spa last July when the 24 Hours of Spa took place.

And if we do use that line of thinking maybe we get Dubai instead because the 24 hour race is this weekend.:sly:

I'm sure itd be cheaper to buy an '00-01 Acura ITR and do the JDM front end on it

No championship white though.

I just did a search. Most US ITR's are going for around $20k and they are much heavier than the JDM versions, if GT6 stats are anything to go by...Most likely, Japanese Classics LLC will sell their first 1995 ITR for around that price anyway.

TWo years ago, PD Real eased more info at TAS
We can see from TAS build, the Camaro SS and M4 Safety car are in N400

No doubt they'll crown another GT Award winner.
We'll see if there's more to come this month.
