Where can I find this track?
He's talking about the Broadspeed Jaguar

If you meant the car, that also is at Racedepartment

Oooo, looks like it was updated recently. I'll have to grab the new version. The version I was driving around yesterday was good but had a little room for improvement. I do hope it still has the fancy wood dash. I almost feel like I need to hire a chauffeur while I ride in the back seat. :D

EDIT: If I may make a suggestion, I think it would be better to just have two threads, one for Mini Monday and one for Vintage Sunday, with VCRC in the title of each thread. Just update the OP of each thread with the pertinents for each week, makes it easier to keep track of things and keep relevant discussions in one place. Example, I saw the thread for Albi but didn't click on it until after the race because it didn't say VCRC in the title or anything, I though it was something for another group. The OP of this thread has details from a couple weeks ago and that could be causing confusion amongst people interested in joining.

Also, if we have any tuners in the bunch willing to put together and share a setup for that week's combo maybe we could post that in the OP for the week? Could help keep the field together. I tried JP's setup for the Lotus 49 and it took nearly two seconds off my best time. 👍

Just friendly suggestions.

I still don't know what this mini Monday is and where you guys are finding the info for it. Anything but GT cars and modern open wheelers and Im in. The older the better. Anyone found a Model T mod yet.

It was Here but I guess he wants to close the thread and just use this thread. But this thread doesn't mention anything about Mini's in the OP so I'm not sure where it would go or how people would know about it. I'll be on the scout for Mini racing this evening if anyone's interested.

@nepal road - Thanks. Got it. CC had just been asking about track suggestions for this week so I thought Brandon was referring to a track (since I haven't heard of this car).

Does anyone know the name of the server normally used for Monday night madness?

did anyone else wet themselves watching Hammond in his ambulance last night?

I saw that on Facebook today. Is it legit or ripped?

Edit: I don't see it available on AC forum or RD forum so even though it's tempting I'll probably pass.

@Cote Dazur - Thanks! I wasn't impressed with the giant Jag but this looks interesting (in another giant kind of way). I really like those s/c and competition Cobras!

Just downloaded it and ran a few laps in each.
overall there are all really nice to drive and good fun but the gearing is so short i was topping out on almost every track.
No adjustable gearbox? If not it would be short tracks only:grumpy:

I tried them all and, aside from the non-adjustable gearing (seems it would be very tedious going between the drivetrain folder and the track to get the gearing right), there are a couple of other issues too:

The cars are pretty fun to drive but they don't feel anywhere near as 'alive' as the Cobra -- there's just no comparison. Also, I banged doors lightly with an AI car and my car (the Vette) developed a really bad vibration. It was enough to end my race. I re-tested and the same thing happened.

I really wanted to like this mod but that's my honest two cents.

you don't have to
you can have any drivetrain 100% modeable by entering ratio and final number and changing a 1 for a 0 to have all changes possible in the pits
Yeah, you'll have to be a little more specific:lol:. Like file names and such:D

K
You will find this in data/setup

[GEARS]
USE_GEARSET=1 ; Defines what kind of gearset can be used in setup. 0 gives access to various gears sliders. 1 Gives you prefixed compilations of gearboxes

when using 1 you only have the values in the drivetrain ini file, when using 0, you have access to the values in the ratio and final text file in Data and you can chose/change them from the pit box in game.
when altering the data files, you can always alt tab to get back and forth without having to exit AC.
one thing I love about AC add on is that you can do anything you want. It is all there in the data folder.

Edit, I tried it in the Camaro, but it is not working, maybe the modder disable it because it is a complete vintage mod and all cars are supposed to be more or less equal.
In any case, it is still possible to give longer gearing in the drivetrain file, even add a fifth gear. I would not touch it in this particular mod, since the short gearing is probably like that by design and representative of what those car used to be like.

Edit2, found the missing part to have adjustable final gear ratio: add this to the setup.ini file.

@Johnnypenso look at edit2 in my previous post on how to have different gear ratio for the Vintage Mod ( or any other mod, if it is not already there)

I have attached a final that could work for those cars as is or can be modified.

Is there a way you can alter the grip of the tyre compound ? These cars feel like they have way too much grip.

The best way to alter the grip, is to alter the grip of the track, try old track, it will make a big difference. Playing with the tyres is not a good idea, changing one parameter alters all the others and you will end up with a mess.
