I really do not understand the reasoning behind mandating pitstops.
But personally, on a selfish note... it's a tight no-rest track, and well, frankly, I'm not getting any younger.
Yeah, last week I was really wanting a sip by lap 40-something. So I guess it's not just me getting old & creaky. Brands Hatch Indy turns out to be much tighter a track than it would appear.👍 I like to have a few seconds break to rest my arms/legs and grab a quick drink of water. I was sore and thirsty by the end of last weeks race!
On my first race at nurb, I would pin the theottle on the straight, run upstairs, get a bottle of water, and drink, most of it before the turn.
The beauty of low power racing.
Everybody remember this for the next time we go to the Nurb.
Or Sarthe no chicanes (though that would be pretty dicey).
Yes, very good term for it. Disturbing revelation.Yeah, that was a bit of a disturbing revelation.
You're on there. Of course you're on there sail!!
Are you asking me for my reasoning? Or saying you don't like it & wonder why others do?
Honestly in this situation, I didn't think there was a reasoning particularly. Just that it would make things more interesting maybe.

I do kind of enjoy the whole pitting thing in general. Sort of makes it feel like a proper race to have to pull in there. Something about just having to pull into the pit gives a sort of extra dimension to the whole thing for me. ha ha
I also sort of enjoy thinking about when I'll pit, and when I think other people will pit. Keeps the mind focused & adds something. Of course the traffic will be pretty thick at Autumn Ring Mini so thinking about traffic in regards to pitting won't be easy.
