No can't risk it what with the peculiar things that happen (or don't).
Darned if I could figure it out.
I'm hoping to get on & be able to test it with someone else in a race soon... to see about that problem we were talking about with the menu not popping up.

You're on there. :boggled: Of course you're on there sail!! :D :)

I really do not understand the reasoning behind mandating pitstops.

Are you asking me for my reasoning? Or saying you don't like it & wonder why others do?

Honestly in this situation, I didn't think there was a reasoning particularly. Just that it would make things more interesting maybe.

But personally, on a selfish note... it's a tight no-rest track, and well, frankly, I'm not getting any younger.

👍 I like to have a few seconds break to rest my arms/legs and grab a quick drink of water. I was sore and thirsty by the end of last weeks race!
Yeah, last week I was really wanting a sip by lap 40-something. So I guess it's not just me getting old & creaky. :sly: Brands Hatch Indy turns out to be much tighter a track than it would appear.

I do kind of enjoy the whole pitting thing in general. Sort of makes it feel like a proper race to have to pull in there. Something about just having to pull into the pit gives a sort of extra dimension to the whole thing for me. ha ha

I also sort of enjoy thinking about when I'll pit, and when I think other people will pit. Keeps the mind focused & adds something. Of course the traffic will be pretty thick at Autumn Ring Mini so thinking about traffic in regards to pitting won't be easy.

On my first race at nurb, I would pin the theottle on the straight, run upstairs, get a bottle of water, and drink, most of it before the turn.

The beauty of low power racing.

Yes I completely agree watermelon. I do like how it makes the race feel complete plus it adds a bit of strategy to it all. It mixes things up that's for sure

Everybody remember this for the next time we go to the Nurb.

Or Sarthe no chicanes (though that would be pretty dicey).

Just curious, I don't understand a lot of things.

But if everyone is forced to pit it really doesn't add strategy. Its not like we can alter how much fuel we start with or anything like that. Too bad we can't make driver changes.

A thought on how to add strategy. Not saying we consider it for this race but for example: I found a 2 sec per lap difference between CH and CM. If you required starting and finishing on CH but allowed a change to CM . . .?

The only reason I don't really like mandated pit stops in a damage heavy race is it can be seen as punitive to the driver that avoids damage.

I just noticed that the last lap pit stop is not forbidden in post #1
Also I'm missing the results from the nordschleife endurance , it was too good to forget about it :gtpflag:
looking forward to tomorrow 👍👍
