I have liked your combos Brandon. But actually I think this would be my least favorite combo that you picked. I know it's not the mini course but we did do autumn ring mini a while back. Also I don't think the golf is that fun to drive plus the understeer on a technical track. I think I would prefer either a different car but the same track or the same car but a different track. I wonder how the karmann ghia would be on autumn ring instead? That's just me. Certainly take other people's opinions into account as well.

I didn't notice any real understeer (and I was expecting a lot because it's FF) and found it very easy to drive around there. Autumn Ring was in the list of tracks we hadn't done but I can try to find another one. I tried it at Deep Forest and Trial Mountain but it really didn't care for the hills. I also tried Suzuka, it was good there. We can take it there instead.

I notice crowds have been small lately. Is it due to general apathy about the game or am I not picking good car/track combos? I can start putting things up to a vote if it would help.

For me it's a combination of things, early on Sunday morning and becoming more and more disenchanted with GT6 and PD. I've not had GT6 loaded in my PS3 fir a week and a half.

Understandable. At least they fixed some things with the newest update and didn't seem to brake any thing so far. Hope to see you on track soon, if there's anything in particular you'd like to race let me know. 👍
 
Well maybe I'm wrong about the golf but we definitely did autumn ring mini before. Also I find it amusing that in your last post Brandon you used the word brake instead of break when you meant pd didn't mess anything up with the last update. I guess it's a side effect when you talk about racing a lot :lol:

That's good to hear. I've not heard too much kerfuffle about the programmers lament, fix one break two ...

Another issue is I've discovered Sim Racing on a PC, quite an experience 👍

It really is a two edged sword though. The products out there are really visually and immersively (is that a word) stunning. But many of the people I race with and have become friends with aren't able to or don't want to switch :(

And each of those sims have their strengths and weaknesses. We'll see where it goes, community means a lot.

If you don't mind me asking, why next year?
 
Yes, community means everything and this one used to be great. But it's quickly dwindling and what's left is starting to cannibalize itself. I've often heard though that once you've gone to PC land it's hard to go back to GT's frame rate and physics.

I figure after Xmas and tax refund I should have enough money to build a proper PC. :sly:
 
I like this community, really works when you join a club. When GT6 was announced and we got to play some GT Academy, I was excited about what was to come.
But PD have taken so, much out of the game, everything should have been here from the start, its only really good online. The Super Races are a disappointment and AL being so bad. You can see why people are starting to go somewhere else when PD let them down.

I only got a basic PC, so playing is out. Yes I could upgrade, but I can't afford a gaming PC. This would be really good though, would like to play some flight sims too.

Im up for anything on Sunday, but sure we have done autumn ring mini before:)
 
Lots of connection issues today both in the shuffle and midget sessions. People who couldn't join at all.
They definitely broke something recently. :(

I likely cannot make it tomorrow as I won't be at home... again. :
My schedule does not cooperate with me anymore.

If you can be online a little early we can see if you can join my room, if not we can try as a public room (I know how to limit the room so only the Golf can enter the track). I have a feeling there might not be enough people to race anyway.
 
just post the room number as soon as the lobby is open, maybe 15min before qualy starts , then we'll try 👍

I hope some more people will show up , I miss the pitstops a bit , because the different strategies are mixing things up . I like it 👍
 
Good racing today. I'm terribly sorry about that Brandon it was a bad play that I went for :nervous:.

On another note, I wonder if pushing vcrc back to later in the day might get more people in?
 
Fun racing today. Sorry about the tap in turn one, Brandon; I did not manage to keep it tight enough there. :| I thought it best to drop back and not keep the position. ^^;
