VCRC vintage & low power :: Sunday 3pm GMT / 10am US EST

I'll possibly be at the next Sunday race.

Off-topic: Just a tip...on your photos, never use the miniature filter unless you want the cars to look small. And if you do that, the cars have to be far away. :P /off-topic

Here's the list of everyone who thinks they'll make it Sunday:

Anyone else who can confirm a probably now?
(I know some can't confirm until it's closer to the time. But a probably is good enough for me.)

Just tried out the gordini. I like it a lot it's fun to drive. It likes to slide but its not that difficult to control. I feel like its a relatively easy car to drive but it likes to make things interesting and it keeps you on your toes.

Yeah, not too difficult, but fun & potential for some acting up. 👍

Anyone have a ballpark lap time?
Doesn't have to be a super-hot-lap time, just one where you didn't flub it up.

the vintage mercedes with the suitcase storage issue

What is the suitcase storage issue?

Have you been racing a vintage Mercedes whose luggage has been falling out of its trunk as you drive along and the following drivers have been complaining?:irked:

Have you considered some bungee cords or tie-downs for your next race?💡

Good luck!

Apparently the vintage Mercedes had a peculiar issue where there was space for luggage... in of all places, behind the driver's side head!! And supposedly there were some unfortunate incidents where in a crash, luggage came forward. :ill: :scared:

I will most likely make it. Put my name up and i'll confirm tomorrow around 09:30am... if I wake up.

I will be able to make it tomorrow for the R8 Gordini race.

Any idea how many laps?
As many as you can do in an hour

Sorry. :dunce:
I forgot to set the laps.

22 laps

Unless someone thinks that's too few or too many for around 55-60 minutes.

I'm looking forward to this one. I've had a total of about 6 laps practice but I'm feeling strangely like I got a decent amount out of it; which likely means I'll be at the back of the pack tomorrow :P.

I will likely need the full 3 minutes of the end timer.
Even though I had more than 6 laps practice. (Probably only about 10 though.)

I ran a stint earlier trying to get a look at tire/fuel wear, I did 13 laps in just over 30 minutes to use half a tank of fuel on very fast wear... Just FYI.

You think we need 24 laps for an hour?
Or, heaven forbid, should we use an odd number?

Yeah, you know what, let's use an odd number.

23 laps

:sly:

@daddyo845 OMG peep, read the OP!

Nobody reads my OPs. *sigh* :(
And I work so hard on those OPs. :grumpy:

Anyhow... 2 races now I've been literally within feet of the finish line when the end timer ran out.

And no, when there's mandatory pit stops, I will be careful to mention that in the event description.
I have ideas for future about that actually, in some situations.
