To be fair, the car is very good.
I'd argue it got too good. It was so stable and predictable, to the point where it felt completely lacking in any personality. It was a huge shock hopping into this one straight from the air cooled 911s.
I forgot to check and I'm not arsing about with the console clock again (it wiped my Wk3 progress and now won't complete it again  ) but I thought you could rent one for it?
From my experience in the first week, I couldn't find an option to rent it. Not super keen on dropping some 340k for one race just to win a 100/200k ticket.

EDIT: Can confirm, no option to rent the car for the Special Challenge.

Anyone else respects the recommended performance points to increase the challenge? For me following the recommendation made the races a lot more enjoyable
That's what I always do and each time thereafter I play the same event again, I try to take a car with a lower pp than the time before and I only move on to a car with an even lower pp still for each ones that follow after I win + clean race... and so on until I can't win no more.

Keeps it challenging and entertaining, so I have to push myself to constantly do better instead of driving around like a zombie, plus it ''forces'' me to try out cars I wouldn't normally be tempted to select.

It's probably one of the best cars in the game. And that engine noise. Very nice.

Try the Porsche 919.....put it on RH tires and tune it down to 899pp. Plenty of grip.
No need. Did the race in the NSX Gr.2 with RM/RS tires. Great car. Even with a spin out I still won on hard difficulty by 6 seconds.

Confirming there's no option to rent the car for the Special Challenge:

This is the same PD that wrote "browser incompatible" as the error message when you try to upload a decal bigger than 15kb.

Anyone remember the glitch from the GT2 days, when you tried to put custom wheels on your BMW?

"Your car cannot compete in this event"

To be fair, in real life the car is likely an absolute monster on the track with grip for days and handling an air cooled 911 could only dream of. If that makes it lack personality, well that’s just your opinion. I personally think the insane handling, amazing brakes and breakneck speeds it can take through turns, in stock form, make it exactly the type of car I would want to take on a track. The air cooled 911’s may have more wiggle and squirm to their rear ends, but that doesn’t inspire confidence for me to push it to the limits. That’s just a recipe for a random spin out in my book.

Did you do the TT I got gold in 15min made my money back plus more…

Of course, I always set up my car up or down to recommended PP and try to win it. When I win i write the time in sheet and next time I try with different car and compare the times.

So Even easy events where I win +30 sec are enjoyable not because of the challange in a race but because I compete with myself in a different car.

For example this week's Sunday cup classics I beat with Mini '65 tunned to 350pp(because that's suggested) and this week I'll try to beat its times with Ambulance tunned to 350pp, and 380pp for Sunday cup.

I have so much fun playing this way.

I haven't. TTs are usually not my thing, but if it's THAT easy, I'd be stupid to not do it.

Thanks for letting me know!

I don't question the capabilities of the 992 GT3RS at all. It's insane for a road car to be that neutral and predictable, so much so that it goes all the way into uncanny and creepy. It's like a newborn baby not crying, you know?

I guess I'm super desensitised by the swathes of race cars in the game. If I want to do fast, stable and consistent laps, I'd just hop into a 911 RSR. I want to feel weight shifts and rotation in road cars. I want them to threaten me a little. I want to play with them a bit.

Nothing wrong with liking the car. It's amazing. We're just looking for different things in sports cars, it seems.

Anyway, to bring this post somewhat back on topic, 2 of the 5 races this week are at Moanza... urgh. What a snooze fest of a track.

Well not for nothing it’s an easy way to earn money.. bronze $250K, silver 1M, gold 2M and you can rent the car. The way you described what driving characteristics from cars you enjoy…you are sure to find it with that TT. It is a track weapon however it’s still up to the driver to extract the capabilities of the car.

Any point doing these challenges this week, if getting the reward is not guaranteed? 🤔 although I have been lucky so far with the previous weekly challenges.

Add me to the list of those not getting their rewards for completing the weekly races. I haven't started the menu book yet to complete the WTC900, but does it need to be completed to receive the rewards for the previous four races? If not, has anyone found a way to get their damn gifts?!

I agree. While the car is fantastic, it's very sterile. It's very hard to get it to oversteer or generally get the chassis loose at all. It is a weapon, but that doesn't always translate into a car that's fun to drive in game.

I have only started the WTC900 and got the reward, so I don't think we need to finish them first.

Someone at PD seems hell bent on getting players to buy a 992 GT3RS for some reason...
I just did that weekly challenge 10 lap race @ Deep Forest for World Touring Car 700 in it. You’re up against Gr.4 cars but hey, the requirement doesn’t force you into a racing car. 😅

Turns out the GT3RS completely destroys the opposition, but I had to pit for fuel already after 2 laps. 😁 Then I turned the fuel map all the way to 6 (while still destroying everything else on track) and pitted for fuel & tires (RS) after lap 6. Easy (and fun) win! 😎

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. I’m afraid today was a don’t. :D

Rushed to finish previous weekly races that expire tonight, and did not receive reward tickets as well.
So some people are getting them and some of us aren't. What's the common denominator here? I want my stuff... that WTC900 race was a grind!

House Special... hehe! Reminds me of that good ol' song in Cruisin' USA on the N64!

Just an FYI I found out a few minutes ago. If you have nitrous installed on your Porsche 992 it doesn't let you deploy DRS. Never even thought about that with any other car before and as I started the race I was wondering what the nitrous/overtake button would do. It only gives you a shot of laughing gas. Would be cool if it deployed both for a real kick of acceleration. DRS works again if you disable nitrous in the car settings.

Went quicker with DRS than with nitrous anyway.

I didn't have a problem getting the rewards. The opposite, I got the last reward already after 4 races. Also, the WTC900 race last week was telling me "not available yet". I just found out by accident that I need to do the cafeteria races first. Really PD? You can't even put that into the stupid notification? What am I supposed to do with "not available yet"?

You need to start the café menu, not do the races. To be precise.

And I entirely subscribe to your question to PD. That's another dumb thing in GT7.

Can confirm daily roulette ticket doesn't affect getting the rewards from the weekly challenge

There must be some other issue to cause what other people are experiencing

Was going for a strictly italian solution in this weeks weekly challange...

Used a stock Giulia Sprint GT '67 for the Lago Maggiore Sunday Cup, a slightly tuned 500 Mondial(SH,PP528) for the dragon trail FR Challenge, a 4C Gr3 Road Car(with PP 652 and SS tires) at Interlagos, my Pantera GT racer(RH,699PP) for the World Touring Car event and for the Porsche race I painted the car in Ferrari rosso corsa an put some Pirelli stickers and italian license plate on ...
