What are you expecting from GT6 @ E3

Displaying the GTR Schulze with it in game running around as Kaz tells us all about GTacademy, "once upon a time..."

I simply expect a trailer. It can tell us a lot, (if not everything) including new cars, tracks, features, etc. I learned A LOT from the E3 2010 and TGS 2010 trailer. I hope it's the same with the upcoming E3 trailer, if we are to see one.

I doubt Kaz will have stage time to go in depth on anything. I think there will be a new trailer, which will open up new speculations, and he'll be answering interview questions based on that.

Kaz wasn't at the Febraury event in person and the Silverstone event wasn't public, I think they'll give Kaz/Translator San some main event stage time at one event and E3 is the biggest stage in gaming. Then again maybe they will just give him time at TGS.

It's just that Sony seems to have a lot to cover and GT6 being a PS3 game. My assumption is they want to focus on next gen PS4 much more. That doesn't include time for PSVita as well.

But yeah, it's possible, since the last time we saw him, he was presenting GTPSP at E3. I would lean more towards TGS though, like you mention on the last part and plus he did it in 2010.

Yeah I guess it does depend how much time they give to PS3. They keep stressing that it isn't going to be dead straight away so you would assume they'll have 20 minutes or so on PS3 stuff, maybe 5 minutes of that on GT6.

TGS does seem more likely though, being a home event for Kaz. I just wonder if that's a bit late for a major public blowout. Surely by then we'll be at the stage where most stuff is known.

I really hope they actually show a trailer that actually represents what to expect from the game, the E3 2012 was horrible at that, hyped the game too much and set us up for dissapointment.

Enough media to keep me happy until the demo on July.

The waiting and hype are getting to unbearable levels.

You mean 2010, right?

If Kaz doesn't end up getting any stage time then I expect more details about car customization, more premium cars, maybe some info about the standard cars (wouldn't count on it though), info on the Club builder/custom race organizer feature and to finish off a reasonably long new trailer leaving us with more unanswered questions and speculation.

It'll be boring without a GT6-only presentation. Just a footnote on Sony's main stage time and we'll see two or three GTP news about some announcements (text), impressions on the demo (one month before we get to try it) and footage (amount depending on PD's policies).

It cannot be better than the Silverstone event, which wasn't perfect.

 Yeah meant 2010

I'll try not to keep my expectation too high, because in the back of my mind, something tells me it will still look identical like GT5, not saying it will with dumb speculation, but you know what I mean. Being a PD and GT fan for more than a decade, I kinda don't trust them this generation, maybe the Ps3 was also to blame to that. :D But I hope PD makes a huge surprise on E3 like almost PC like physics, liver editor, and life like sound etc... We'll see. :)

Besides better lighting/shadows (which they're doing) and the adaptive tessellation, there's not much more they can do to the graphics in my mind.

I remember I thought GT2 had awesome graphics when it came out, if I saw GT5 back then I would of thought it was real life!

I think everybody has extremely high standards when it comes to graphics nowadays.

The last part is amazingly true. Good graphics don't make a good game, they just make a game look good.

GPS data track creator and livery editor to be confirmed.

Edit: and some epic BMW cars such as M3 E30

I expect more info on GT6 possibly some more game play video a few more confirmed features but I do not know what they would be. Just have to wait and see.

That's true, that's why sound and physics should be the priority for this next GT.

To put it simply.....

Gran Turismo 5.5

So far I don't see how this adds up to a full game. I'd rather we have it as a large DLC pack so they can concentrate on the real GT6. This smacks of PD being rushed by Sony to prop up PS3 sales.

Excuse my cynicism, but from what I've seen, it feels like Kaz (again) is going to further sculpt the same piece of clay rather than break the mold.

This is the first time I have ever considered skipping a PD title at launch, but I was thoroughly disappointed in Nov 2010.

I hope I'm wrong, but I was really pumped for a PS4 PD showcase that blew my mind like previous PD titles.

I should say that sometimes, GT5 is almost spiritually good. I think it just lacks cohesion and isn't the ultimate PlayStation racing experience we've come to expect.

Can someone explain to me how this is a 'new game/simulator' and not a mid life refresh of an operating system?

You're right.

When I saw the Rally license, I was thinking the game was going to have an epic Rally A-spec type events, as well as point-to-point original rally tracks. Instead, we only received a couple Rally tracks from Eiger and the Snow one and both were only used in a Special Event in which was simply a time trial event.

I also had some big expectations for the damage. Nascar seemed like it was going to make a cool debut. Not only that, I thought the implementation of Top Gear was going to be awesome as well. There was also footage of some sort of drag racing on an airstrip at sunset or something, which apparently meant nothing.

All this from the E3 2009/2010 trailer. So many features, but lack of execution.

Basically, it did hyped me up too much as well.

In exactly the same way as GT2 was not GT 1.5 and GT4 was not GT3.5.
The second release on a console has always been a polished version of the previous game. There will not be the dramatic shift in graphics that comes when you go from one generation to the next, it's all about taking what you've already got and making it bigger and better.

I understand that you're disappointed about GT6 not being a PS4 title, but your disappointment does not make it a "GT5.5", whatever that name is supposed to mean.

Even if the car/track list doesn't seem to expand a great deal from GT5 (we'll see about DLC), there are major improvements and changes in other areas - more substantial than all of the updates that GT5 had during all of its lifetime put together.

And no, sound doesn't seem to be part of those improvements, but with that kind of logic we would still be playing GT1. Only it would be called GT1.999 or something by now.

A trailer, with a very vague release date at the end.

I think some people are just really spoiled on the fact that this game will literally release around the same time as the next generation consoles. If it were to be released for another two years, there wouldn't be this argument, I don't think.

A trailer, with a very vague release date at the end.

I'm not sure if it can get any more vague than holiday 2013 (which has been confirmed), unless you mean slightly less vague, like showing the month, but that's not very vague in my opinion.

I hope to see some gameplay with the Tesla Model S. Been looking all over the internet for some video of it from Silverstone...

I also hope to see some more cars and tracks, and perhaps most of all I would love to see some more details about the new course maker.

Just more mods and engine improvements, I mean it'd be cool if you could drop a W16 into a Fiat allow us to get more creative with the cars

I hope they unveil a feature where players can vote through the game which cars and tracks should be included as future DLC or into future GT games.
