What did you do in GT7 today?

Opted out of Sport mode until they sort out BoP.

Oh, and prior to that I foolishly bought yet another Gr3 car which is undriveable on the DPad without a BB controller.

I did two 1h endurance races on the mountain last night. The small version of N24 as I like to call it. Unfortunately Bathurst doesn't have rain settings implemented, but driving into the night and into the sunrise looks beautiful.

First race was with the Mark IV against GR.4, easy victory. But I can't quite get close to GR.3 times (2:09 best lap) and it needs to pit twice (with x3 fuel) vs only once for the GR.4 crowd. So not sure if it can keep up with GR.3 on expert AI.

Second race I took the Mangusta out. Tricky but a lot of fun to get it over Mount Panorama. It's a better match against GR.4, close racing all the way (or whatever you want to call it with the AI ramming and clowning around you). I almost lost due to a lapped car deciding to battle it out with me on the Conrod straight, almost crashing me off, while second place was making up time.

One hour races have the 'best' payout, enter with a down tuned road car (which you can fix before the race starts), and I got 167K for the win. Still very low but better than 123K for 8 hours in GR.1

The best payout I can squeeze out of a custom race is 15 minute endurance in the rain on N24, 1 lap in the jeep.

It barely goes over 120 kph, yet GR.1 is stuck at 90 kph due to starting on the wrong tires.

But I've mainly been repeating Windmills for 60K every 4.5 minutes. Mind numbing, but the only way to get some credits towards the legend car dealer shop and for tuning a car.

Earning creds to buy either the Muira or Ferrari Gto doing the World Gt series , much better than grinding one track over n over plus possible 90k a race and 150k completion bonus for 1st, got the Money and Bought the Porsche and the 300SL Coupe , Merc driving me too that cos it looked nicest :)

Bought the cartoon tofu car, and was pleased to see that its interior is even more hideous than its twin brother Levin's. I bet that two-tone blue 80's plastic looks just fantastic ater a few years of friction wear and sun fading.

Did a 20 lap race around Trial Mountain with my road-tuned Raptor at 8x fuel burn. Do this and you'll learn a lot about fuel saving techniques, whether you want to or not. I eventually got it down to where I could complete five laps between fuel stops, which is pretty impressive for something that measures its fuel efficiency in gallons to the mile. Seriously, at fuel setting 1 it uses up a quarter of a tank just on the long back straight. It's awe inspiring, really.

And finally I decided to tune up the C4 Corvette to make it competitive in Gr.3, which was easier than expected. I also see from this car and the AE86's that Kaz likes crappy old digital dashboards as much as I do, which makes me happy. The Vette's in particular is very Knight Rider-ish and looks like it was pulled off the back of a pinball machine, and just like real digi-dashes it's impossible to read when the sun is shining on it.

Ground the Raptor some more, spent it on two Corrola Levins at the UCD and... dun dun dun, a Delorean. Balking at a second Testarossa because the Miura keeps winking at me.

Noticed the Trial Mountain Gr.B race and threw the Audi Quattro around the test mode, and was stunned that I beat my Ford GT lap time. Awrightie then, to the track! Aaand... I had to adjust to the bots, a lot, because twisty tracks mean bad bots. But restarted once and these bots were pretty okay. Did three clean races - half as efficient as trucking Daytona but Hella more fun.

And for the love of God, PD, you guys have GOT to produce an Audi Quattro Sport Touring Car, and a whole GOB of Euro sports machines from the 80s and 90s to run with it. That car is the sweetest grumpy badger I've laid hands on yet. Go look at my wishlist post linked in my sig, and see if that isn't a Career Mode of Dreams.

Did my daily mileage grind and got a 6 start ticket and the roulette of disappointment gave me a Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II which saves me 1.6 million and a bit of grinding.I would of liked the pile of gold bars it also had on offer today instead but think I got a decent prize.

Attempted the 24 minutes of le mans in a Redbull x2019. Cant keep the car from spinning at high speed over the bumps down the straights!! Will try to mess around with ride height and aerodynamics later.

Dont remember having this problem with this car in previous GT games.

Yesterday I did WTC 700 at Dragon Trails Garden with the Mazda Gr3 tuned down to 655PP

Bought the GTO 😍

Bought the Miura and did some full Pan-Am runs in the Corvette C7. Got a NOS kit for the Hellcat pace car from a 2 star ticket. After about 150 miles of GT7 I traded my Corvette for a "Coquette" and reaped havoc on San Andreas all afternoon. It was a nice break from GT7 but I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Signed up with Chevy for the Manufacturer series. Ran a Race C at Brands Hatch for my daily workout, 11th to 5th, not too shabby. Took my lunch money from down the back of PD's couch and off to play Crusader Kings since it's just dropped on PS5.

Will be back tomorrow for the start of the series.

I know what I did not do... buy the CLK GTR! I am getting frustrated

Moded up my 455; very fun. Bought the F430... also fun but a little less stable than the 455.

Took my Gr4 Viper, returned it to 100% OEM, and raced in the GT700 with it. That was a lot of fun as it is quite challenging: finished P1, P3, and P1 to tie for the win of the championship. The last race at the N24 did not disappoint. Thanks to some strategic drafting I passed the Alfa, Mazda, and barley passed Supra on teh final straight (which I was stuck behind them for a while before that). Won by about .500 seconds. Best part is ZERO contact with any of the AI (nor did I let any of them contact me) despite them being all grouped up at points, which is a challenge in itself. Saved that replay!

Deleted and reinstalled game to see if it will clear my problem with it crashing when I select special paints in livery editor, which it didn't...

After lunch did the WTC 800 at Dragon Trails Seaside Reverse. Not very used to that layout I botched some laps but ended up catching Portilla just before the finish line.

Got a 1 star ticket that brought me 5k 😒

Yesterday I set up afk farming and when I got off work I did a few missions, a couple more of the S license tests and one of the longer 10 lap races not tied to the cafe books. With the alleviation from the stress for grinding credits resolved(for now I suppose) I can just focus on events I want to do and not worry about time vs payout. Today will likely be the same though I will also test out some of the tuning recommendations pinned here.

I got CK3 as well. Gonna be a massive learning curve but I'm in no rush.

I did a 3h endurance race in the Ferrari GTO '84 last night.

I tried to go from dawn until night by starting at early dawn, 3 hours with x4 time

No clue what time early dawn is or what time of year it is simulating. The sun wasn't starting to set yet at the end of the race, 12 hours from early dawn it's still mid afternoon.

Also I never got a single drop of rain for the R06 and R04 rain events I set. It did get very cloudy, hazy with a faint sound that suggested some moisture in the air. The track also looked shiny but never anything on the weather radar or rain gauge. It has been random before, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little, sometimes a solid front, sometimes varying sized rain clouds moving through. This is the first time it didn't rain at all.

Better options for time and weather would be appreciated. What time is sunrise and sunset, why can't you set the amount of rain fall and duration, why can't you see it coming from further away. It should at least be on par with any normal weather forecast.

That would be awesome to see at the start of a race, yet you can't even see what time it is in GT7 doh. GT8!

Anyway great car, drives great on the ring

Just be careful at Swchedenkreuz, it likes to come loose at speed

It's very stable otherwise, no problem hitting a the still wet part or getting rammed by the AI (at the end)

I got two 3 * daily workout tickets and one 4 *. I actually got a 2011 Golf from the roulette. I actually wanted the money that time  I bought 2 AE86s I think finished menu book 21 and bronzed the IA license.

WTC 700 and did a few runs on Sardegna. I cant control my Focus on any of the jumps. More people struggle with that, or any tips?
I find that hitting the crests as straight as possible and easing off the throttle before you get airborne help to keep landings more under control. The last crest before the finish line on Sardegna is particularly tricky, but don't go in too hot and make sure your car isn't sliding or off balance before you hit it. I've been using my Toyota 86 (with 766bhp) for the rally grind and not having too much trouble - easing the pace by 5% gains you a lot of extra composure to glide over the rough bits.
