On the GTP account, I took the Honda NSX Gr.B to Sarthe. If I refined the tune a bit more, I could do an 8-lap race, but right now, it's too loose. I spun a couple times to ruin any chance of the mythical 8-lap run.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair was its usual stingy self, giving the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. However, I'm back over 20,000,000 Cr.

On the Plus account, I used the "proper" Honda NSX Gr.4 at Sarthe. It's faster than its slow steering, lackluster acceleration and mild understeer suggests - I got a 4:18.2 lap in. It won't quite go 4 laps on fuel either.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair wasn't quite as stingy, though the 30,000-Cr. prize was the low-showing.

Tried the F8 Tributo at Road Atlanta for the TB Masters 5 laps event, gotta say it was an easy win but that car felt very skittish on sport soft tires, stock and no tune. I thought I'd enjoyed driving it but I don't really like it to be honest.
Roll with RS's bra'.. not liking the Tributo tho'.. smh.. you should be shred'n that class to pieces.. with all due..

NW.

I did a couple of Tokyo grinds in the Audi Sport Quattro Pikes Peak.
It’s a pretty fun car with insane downforce, I was pulling the hand break around all corners :P

Fastest lap was 2:03.xxx.
Fastest finish was 25:55.xxx
Fuel Map 1 all the way with a lot of short shifting.

It’s my first attempt into the credit grind and I want to do it with my own builds, although eventually I’ll try and find the most efficient tune for lazy attempts (when the time comes).
If anyone has car recommendations for Tokyo let me know, it will be fun to DIY tune them up and attempt faster times :)

I tried the LM 700PP race in the Alpine A220 '68 with Praiano's tuning, and it was a bizarre race indeed - it was my first race in the A220 using the wheel, and I can't believe I got the Clean Race Bonus  Somehow, even though I spun a couple of times, got a time penalty for cutting a corner, and also got my tyre choice/strategy all wrong, I still managed to win quite comfortably.

I did do the race again, and the second time around it was silky smooth - I also did the full race with the proper cockpit view, and the sound of the A220 is really cool; and when it started raining, it was a super-immersive experience. I can imagine that it would be even more realistic in VR, but even without VR it was a lot of fun. The A220 needs to be handled with some care, however, as you do need to start braking a lot earlier than normal at Le Mans, but once I got used to it, I was able to win very comfortably.

Today was a rewarding day now I wait.:)
Gran Turismo® 7_20230511072447.jpg

So it took me 7 days.

To grind from 323K to 100M

Breakdown.

Credits from tickets 80K
Credits from online TT (which is rare for me to do) 3M
Credits from cars sold 0.

Tried the new TT at Nurb. Got surprised by the layout after T1 on the 24H layout, took a 1.5 penalty that is really hurting when it is done at the start of the long straight, kills the acceleration and the time is long after that...

9min06 for the first lap, 8min54 on the second one, close to bronze time, a bit of training and it will be good. For silver I am not sure I'll be able.

4* gave 10k...

Decided to go back and try to gold the last two drift missions.

Working on the Viper and came very close (7470 - gold being 7500). I know everyone says it's easier with the pad, but I'm just going to keep working at it with the wheel.

I feel like I'm pretty consistent at getting 2500 to 2700 in the first drift sector. But getting close to 5000 at the second has been a struggle.

On the GTP account, I collected my 1,000,000 Cr. from the online time trial, then took the chassis-stiffened FXX K to Sardegna for the instant cash.

The disappointments began with the 3-star Wheel of Despair giving the low-showing cash prize. Fortunately, it was the 2nd-highest-possible 100,000 Cr. The driving portion continued at the Nurburgring, where I can't get close to the silver time, even with the current meta Toyota GR Supra.

As it finally returned to Hagerty's, I did buy four 1970 Nissan Skylines for future engine purposes, widening two of them. Unfortunately, the Ford Roadster is still MIA and likely will be for months, and I need 6 of them for future engine purposes.

On the Plus account, I took the Ford GT snowplow to Sardegna. Not only does it handle like a snowplow, it accelerates like one because the gearing is optimized for Sarthe, and it barely makes 5 laps on fuel. Its only saving grace is that it will go at least 10 laps, and probably 15, on a set of tires. Had Fraga not had so much traffic to deal with and had he not pitted on lap 9, I doubt my 26:55 one-tire-change run would have been good for the win.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair wasn't particularly nice - it gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr.

I wake up and after checking the hagerty collection on the net i fire up my ps5 and bought the missing nissan and the new Porsche for the menu .
So i have 4 to collect with the Ford one but am planning to open them once in a week.
3 are missing and are expensive ones , the " pedal " power Porsche, Bugatti witch still miss the invitation and have none of them , and the f1 from Honda menu .
Other than that ,cones at the second mission pissed me of so badly yesterday and give up 🤕
Ill never gold this damn thing.

Have a good day guys , enjoy the weekend ahead and if you see your Google with the Ferrari logo some day ....... you know who's " hand " are behind that 😅 .

Bought the Huracan GT3 '15 for Nurb TT

Did a poor job on my first lap with 8min57... I got to get better on the GP layout, and improve on the Nordschleife, losing speed on a number of turns, I think I have to focus on some turns before looooong flat out sections where the more speed you have at the beginning, the less time you lose (true in every turn but especially with a long flat out section after the turn).

Grind one Sardegna which I found surprisingly easy, then I remembered that I was in easy mode + I forgot to set FM to 6.

Got a 3* for my "efforts" this morning, deserved I guess, but it delivered a nice 100k ingot, not too shabby for a 3*

On to work now !

I bought a 3rd RA272 and saw a hilarious Mario Kart livery that I couldn’t resist putting on my grind car RA272 and kept the new one stock. Took my Mario Kart and then my swapped TVR around LM. Then I did 2 rounds of Tokyo in the ‘88 Countach, got 2nd place the first try after making many mistakes early on and won the 2nd try getting the CRB both times. I did some rounds of Sardegna in a few Gr. 3 cars, did a round of Spa in the XJR-9, and finally did some Hypercar Parade races in cars much faster than the competition: a fully tuned McLaren F1 road car, a fully tuned Huayra, a fully tuned Veneno, the Tomahawk S, and Ferrari VGT. Got a 4-star ticket worth a million credits yesterday and a 3-star worth 10k for today. Still waiting on those Bugatti and Aston Martin invitations and the Ford Roadster which are the only 4 cars I don’t currently own.

I bought a few more cars and downloaded a bunch of liveries to add to my 2023 SuperGT Custom Races grid.

I currently have 6 GT500s and 9 GT300s, and I have set up the grid with accurate liveries and driver names. It's already looking/feeling good, and it should be an even better race once I've tweaked the various cars to be roughly in tune with each other.

On a more general note, it is quite surprising how few actual GT500 and GT300 cars there are in the game - of course one can make do with similar models from recent years, but it would be awesome to have a full set of SuperGTs from one particular year that are going to be competitive with each other.

I feel your pain when trying to make period correct 1997-1998 FIA GT races. GT2 is easy to make but GT1 only has 2 cars which IRL had a noticeable performance gap, it would've made more sense for PD to add the CLK-LM--->911 GT1-98 and the F1 GTR '97--->CLK-GTR GT1 '97 as those are the direct rivals that the cars raced against and it's a slight pet peeve of mine.
If PD allowed us to add weight reduction to the 911 GT1 + maybe front canards for more downforce I am almost 100% guaranteed it would keep up with Gr.2 with slight BOP applied as my custom BPR grid give the F1 GTR 1995s a hard time on pretty much any track.

OT: Took my CLK-LM, F1 GTR '97 and Escudo to Sardegna for some easy credits while I wait to acquire my 3rd F1 GTR 1995, though I may just wait until I see what the next DLC has to offer if it does not come before then.

Spent about 30min trying to find a decent Dom's RX7 livery, but came out empty. I think I'll just have to do one myself.

After such a failure, I decided to buy my 1st (2nd overall) Veyron, in the classic Red/Black color scheme. My target is to buy at least one more before the ticket expires.

And after that I did 4 casual races just to get my daily roulette ticket of pain and some cash.

1. Bought the Hakosuka GT-R which gave me an Engine Ticket from the Extra Menu.
I now have 2 engine tickets which I am holding until the next update hoping for something interesting to be added.
2. Bought the 73 Carrera which gave me a 5* ticket from the Extra Menu. From which I won the Citroen GT Gr.3 Race car. I didn't have the car but would have rather had the 450k in cash at the moment.

Incidentally, the GT-R is ineligible for the GTR events! How stupid is that!!!

It's good in the Historic Races though when upgraded to around 550pp, so I ran it in those events and the Japanese 550 event at Grand Valley.

I did the Super Formula race at Watkins Glen on Hard difficulty and won on my first attempt, albeit by less than 1s and with Praiano tuning - it was a truly exhilarating experience! I spent the first few laps in the wilderness, and ended Lap 5 in last place, but by the end of Lap 6, however, I was in 12th. I clearly found my mojo and didn't make any mistakes, and took the lead with three corners left to the chequered flag...

Oh, and I got a 6* ticket for the Daily Marathon, which paid out an Aston Martin Vulcan worth 3.3M Cr.

Didn't really get a chance to play much yesterday. I took the Vulcan out to Laguna Seca for a couple of laps. Realized I need to work on it just wee bit. It's a little oversteery coming out out of turns in 2nd gear. The easiest thing to do is feather the throttle coming out of curves or try for about an hour to fix the issue. I will choose the latter 😁

It's also an "invite only" car, so you done well there ...

On the GTP account, after re-verifying the PP of all the cars (about a third had changed between 1.31 and 1.32), I took the supercharged/tuned-for-730 PP (or at least a bunch of updates ago) Chevrolet Corvette Gr.3 to Sardegna for a tight win against a super-rabbit Fraga, or at least it would have been tight had he not needed fuel on lap 14. For my part, I had to short-shift to get 5 laps and forgo tires on the second stop to hound Fraga. Apparently I forgot it was Sarthe day. Oh well, I'll do it tomorrow.

The second 3-star Wheel of Despair in a row on the GTP account spewed the low-showing 10,000 Cr. Worse, none of the Hagerty's cars I still need, either outright or for engine purposes, nor the one UCD car I need for engine purposes, came in.

On the Plus account, I did remember it was Sarthe day, so I took the Genesis G70 Gr.4 to Sarthe. It understeers quite noticeably, to the point I doubt the front tires would last 7 dry laps and to the point my best lap was 4:22. Still, because the front-runners didn't take rain tires on lap 4, it was a relatively-easy win.

The 4-star marathon roulette gave a decent car (at least for a 4-star) - the Lexus VGT. Unfortunately, the 376,250 Cr. I got for dumping it was the least I could have received in the last 2 weeks.

I drove the Dodge Charger Hellcat around Colorado Springs, did the Grand Valley South time trial with the '51 Ford and drove the Aston Martin Vantage around Suzuka.

I had an extra 10 million credits and figured I didn’t have anything else I needed to buy so I grabbed the low mileage 330 P4 before it sold out and put a livery on it. Then I started doing some of the events I’ve never actually gotten around to yet because I’ve been mostly grinding which was a nice change of pace. Then it creeped over midnight and I unexpectedly got the Aston Martin invitation I’ve been waiting for after I spent my extra credits. So did a round of Sardegna and LM and dipped into my F1 GTR funds to buy the One-77 and Vulcan and I’ll grind those back up later and probably buy 1 or 2 more of each later as well. So I’ve collected 466/468 cars and I’m only missing the Veyron and the Roadster. Ended the night with 23 million credits.

The Vulcan is a top car for the hypercar races 🖖
