What did you do in GT7 today?

Bought the Porsche and entered the Daytona race. Was way off the pace. Not sure how to win this race as the lead cars were so fast. Managed to finish 7th…or so I thought. The classification showed I finished 9th. I didn’t get a penalty so not sure how I lost two places. Guess this is another joining a long list of other issues PD has with this game.

It's doable but very hard. You need to tune the car for top speed whilst also giving it enough mechanical grip on corner exit. Turn the rear downforce down to 1400 and the front to about 1050, change the camber (3.0 in the front, 1.8 in the rear), increase initial torque on acceleration to 40 for the diff, stiffen up the springs (4.70 front, 4.20 rear), stiffen up the dampers (by 10 increments in the front and 5 in the rear), lower the ride height (40 front, 55 rear), increase the anti-roll bars (8 front, 6 rear) and change the toe (-0.08 in the front, +0.20 in the rear). As for the strategy, you must start on the soft tyre and pit at the end of lap 5, changing to a new set of soft tyres and adding fuel. Drive as hard as you can and use the slipstream of other cars!

Thanks for that, will give it a go at some point today
Is it a similar for the other two races In the book? Not tried them yet.

Last night I finished Menu Book 42, did the Catalunya circuit experience**, updated my Citroen gr3 livery, got the wheely good fun trophy finally (wasn't really trying to get it but needed some nice gold wheels for the Citroen), and then called it a night. Wanted to do more but I'll take my limited fun. Not going to buy a new car until the jag xj13 comes back at the LCD for the trophy there so I don't need to feel like I have to grind 24/7.

**I must say, I read people complaining about how hard the lambo handles and was like, yeah okay maybe a bit. Then I realized they were right and holy moly, the lift off oversteer is real. That was an insane ride and somehow still got gold.

Last night I tried the Le Mans WTC 700 race in a Gr. 4 car for the first time, expecting a harder time than in my usual Gr. 3 (Ferrari 458 Italia GT3), albeit tuned up to 699.99 PP - and it was something of a cake walk. Admittedly, I got quite lucky in the timing of a heavy rain shower that struck just as I approached the pit lane entrance at the end of Lap 2, but the AI did itself no favours.

The rain hit at the end of Lap 2 while I was in 3rd, but the AI stayed out. The rain fell for the whole of Lap 3 and the track stayed (very) wet for Lap 4 and IM-wet for Lap 5. I switched back to RH for Laps 6 and 7 and that was it.

The AI, however, pits at the end of Lap 3 and Lap 6 for fuel, but in this race they also stayed on RH tyres for the entire race... and their lap times showed how bad this idea was.

Anyway, I'm now going to try adjusting the PP for a closer race, or racing stock Gr. 4 cars at this event in hope of a tighter contest. Perhaps if it had stayed dry throughout it might have been closer, but I won by over a minute in this last race. The only fly in the ointment (as per usual) is the old rubber-banding, which makes it very difficult to engineer 'natural' close races.

I think I did hit cars limit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
919 hybrid - nordschleife 5:09:887

PD PLEASE ADD 919 EVO TRIBUTE UNRESTRICTED IN GT7

Think I've used nearly all Gr4 (apart from American) cars on that race, always fun, definitely one of my favourites.

Grinding for me today in 1.5 hours I had. Spa 1 hour followed by Sardegna, I will get that McLaren before it disappears. 2k from a 1 star was a great help! 😂

I bought the Jaguar F-Type Gr. 4 and tried the LM 30 min race stock, but finished 7th, albeit after getting the tyre choice wrong when it started to rain. Do you run Gr. 4 cars at this race stock, or tune them up a bit? What PP is typical for you?

Won the 550 pp Human Comedy race at Kyoto. I used the 98’ Civic Type R, I would not recommend fwd for this race. I have 2 more of these mission challenges to go, Tsukuba and Trial Mountain.
Yes, first time I completed Kyoto, I did it with the EK9.

I tried the EK9 Touring Car at Kyoto today and didn't find it as reliable as my standard EK9 from before. Switched to the Radical, and it was a wrap and a far more enjoyable ride. The FF understeer with the LSD aswell just made turning half the battle - for a circuit ready car, the base for which (EK9) is famed for its handling, it was underwhelming and not really fun to drive.

The gearbox was frustrating aswell; every key turn was between 2 gears (changing while turning, along with regularly hitting the limiter).

The Radical: wow, just wow. Gearbox and Handling - perfect package.

The radical is what I used for the Kyoto mission too. Uses barely any fuel and handles like a dream. One of my favourite cockpit view cars too.

Worked again last night on cars suitable for Tokyo 600pp race. My Huracan is good and the Huayra is great. I used the BAC Mono and it too was very good if not a bit numb in the steering. I practiced a little with the C7 ZR1 and Citroen GT. You may be able to win with the Vette but it's like taming a wild animal every lap, while the GT is smooth and could be very handy.

The more I drive that track I find its nuances and flow quite enjoyable. The trick for success to me is entering each corner wide and "straightening the corner" as much as possible and exiting as wide as possible. The trick of course is to not carry too much speed so that your exit brushes the outside wall. Once you have the feel and flow right, I think it's a great race.

Got into a car that I’ve enjoyed very much in this game, but haven’t been in for a while: the CLK-LM. Forgot how awesome and overpowered it was in the WTC800 races. A lot more fun to drive than that Audi that’s as easy to drive as a wild cat is easy to bathe.

The CLK and the F1 GTR Longtail are my favorite cars to use in this game, along with the 2016 GT-R GT500. The GT-R just grips and grips as if it’s on rails.

I celebrated joining the 4K/HDR crowd (with a 32" Samsung Q60A, while the smallest 4K TV available in the US...at least for a little while longer, it's still slightly too big to be comfortable for my PS5 setup) by doing the meta WTC 800 double (Spa and Sardegna) with the Tomahawk S on the GTP account. The 4-star marathon shockingly netted me 500,000 Cr. (the mid-cash prize), and the low-cash booby prize was 2 stops further away.

I tried the Praiano R32 600 PP tune (slightly modified as I had some additional engine parts installed) at Tokyo and found it to be too slow, so I tuned it to 700 PP (mostly Praiano's tune again) and took it to Le Mans for an odd weather race. It rained just a bit on lap 3 (not enough to put on IM tires when I pitted at the end of the lap), then the skies opened up on lap 5, when I took the lead and everybody came down for tires and just a splash of fuel for me. I pulled away from the field for the usual win. If I would have short-shifted, I could probably do 4 laps on FM6 as I would have went about 3.8 laps on that setting had it stayed dry.

I completed the meta superfecta at Tokyo with the trusty R33 in another unusual race. Suswillo and his R35 kept up with Gallo's NSX until Gallo pitted on lap 5, so that meant after I pitted on lap 9, Suswillo was in the lead by about 5 seconds at turn 1. I closed the gap and passed Suswillo around the third split on lap 11, and fortunately, he decided he needed a bit more fuel. After that, it was the normal victory. To celebrate, I got both the 300 SL Coupe and Miura out of Hagerty's and drained the bank account.

On the Plus account, I simply won the Dragon Tail WTC 800 event with the Corvette Gr.3 (previously took 2nd with a different tune on the Vette). The 5-star roulette was the low-cash prize of 100,000 Cr.

The race at St Croix is pretty easy given that you increase the downforce to the max and do the same 1 stop-strategy with the soft tyre. Suzuka is harder but if you get lucky with the weather you can win without too much trouble. When I did it I started on the medium (because the soft goes off too quickly with a full fuel load) and went onto the wet tyre on lap 5. The cars in front couldn't react so they had to trundle around on slicks for a lap as the rain came down. When they eventually pitted I took the lead and stayed there. The weather is not scripted and will be slightly different each time so just be mindful of that when working out your strategy.

I stuck superchargers / High end torque on the Jag and the Aston - you will stay under the PP limit provided using RH tyres.
Jag is PP 680.32. Aston is PP 681.69

Did the 1h deep forwst mission in the atenza. Didnt think i was gonna get gold at the beginning but somehow itnworked pretty easily in the end. Pitted for new tires and a splash of fuel after 40 minutes (was contemplating no stops but tires were shot) and came out just behind the taycan. He still had to pit 1 more time so in the end i won with just over 30 seconds to number 2. Pretty pleased! Only 4 more mission to go!

Ran the Le Mans 30 minutes GR4 race again with the Alfa Romeo today, 2nd place but with CRB I took home 450K so off to buy a GR1 I went. Settled today on the Hyundai, remembered liking that car in GTS so we will see. I still need to complete one of those cafe book so maybe this car will help. I did run an arcade race with it at Datona and I think it might be a better fit than the 908.

I have been buying GR4 cars and trying them all with this race. Love the race and love GR4 cars.

Ran the G70 GR3 around Sardegna and had my customary great race.

Tried the same event just to see how much faster I need to be to maybe break 39 laps (but if it was that easy someone better would already have done that). So I came up with a road car with zero pitting and close to 1.30 lead, but still 3.5 seconds to slow to see lap 39.

Decided to try and turn some of my bronze circuit experiences into silver. Partial success, including all silver on a couple of tracks (Monza and another I think). Wish you got something for getting silver - there's no way I'm going to get gold on most of them! I'm only getting silver by a tenth or less!

Took the GTR Nismo '17 to LeMans to give it a try. It's easily fast enough but you'll only squeeze 2 laps on FM4. Lap 2, pitted first, came out 13th. Lap 4, pitted 4th, came out 14th. Lap 6 (after some rain) pitted 9th - was planning to put softs back on, drop FM to 1 and blitz everything. Drove out and the race had ended, with me in 13th! 🤣 Still got over Cr. 100k so was worth trying.

3 star ticket gave me Cr. 10,000, almost enough for a couple of racing tyres ......

Decided to run the Le Mans WTC700 race with my “RM” Mk3 Supra. Got towards the end and my Internet goes out for some reason. My progress was not saved, nor did I get my prize money. An utter waste of half an hour of my time.

Will it really kill PD to at least make career mode able to be played offline? This is the type of BS that demotivates me. That and the other problems with this confounded game like the brainless AI.
