This is what happened to me today....

Gran Turismo 7 - the real penalty simulator

1000002220.jpg

Not GT7 sadly. Was at Big Data LDN, Alteryx had a stand with a F1 sim with F1 24.

This is where it gets GT7 related

I finished the day 3rd on the leaderboard, and moaned that if it was GT7 I'd be top 😂😂😂

Apologies if this breaks the rules, just wanted to vent. But that's what's I did on GT7 - Moan that the sim wasn't GT7! Genuinely had a bit of a strop at being 3rd then went outside for a vape and fresh air (oxymoron) . I miss this game

Had a better day today.

  • bought a second Toyota Celica rally car. Now i have one for 600p and one for 700pp
  • Went back into the missions for curiosity's sake. Won gold at the Gr 3 race at the High Speed Ring (up from bronze)
  • I am now officially UNDER 400 Acura NSX Gr B rally cars.

Oof I stepped in another game side of things in the forums. I messed up big time. 💩 But Today I chucked it in on turn 1 and did a gold Time Trial online and then a Daily Race win.

Time Trial Gold

A few seconds ahead win..

The way the DD+ feels is just so naturally correct and is just sublime. Now off to iRacing for a bit to get that frustration and silly ageing tire model feel.

Oof that video quality is terrible. Later I'll have to see if I can upload proper quality.

I really let things go, and almost missed the Weekly Challenges. First, however, I hit the time trials on the GTP account after collecting 2,000,000 Cr. for a pair of silvers. I'm not getting a silver at Dragon Trail or Route 1, as my 1:58.3+/1:30.8+ (respectively) aren't good enough. The sub-1:02.8 at Suzuka is going to be good for silver though.

Naturally, all that was "worth" a 3-star Wheel of Despair puking out the 2nd-lowest-showing/lowest-legal 10,000 Cr. That left the Weekly Challenges:
  • Brands Hatch European FR Challenge in 5:30 with a stock 1997 BMW M3 (I figured that if I used it, it would finally come back to the UCD)
  • Red Bull Ring Japanese 4WD Challenge in 5:24 with a stock 2002 Nissan GT-R
  • Eiger Norwand Special Event in 6:43 with a Porsche 356 Carrera tuned to 528 PP (and the highly-tuned Barnett stuck in traffic)
  • Willow Springs WRC in an "unclean" 13:50 with a stock Honda NSX Gr.B (I don't know where I lost the CRB)
  • Dragon Trail WTC 700 in a soaking-wet 19:17 with a stock Chevrolet Corvette Gr.4 (with rain tires on standby, and after many, many, many restarts)
On the Plus account, it was mostly a stomping:
  • Brands Hatch in 5:04 with a stock Ferrari F12berlinetta
  • Red Bull Ring in 5:18 with a stock Suzuki VGT
  • Eiger Norwand in 6:51 with a Porsche 356 Speedster tuned to 505 PP (and Barnett starting in the back with me, and unlike the GTP run, the usual number of Eiger restarts)
  • Willow Springs in 13:25 with a Nissan GT-R Gr.B tuned to 696 PP (an old Clubman Plus tune, which is a bit hard on the front-left tire)
  • A dry Dragon Trail in 16:55 with the same Nissan GT-R Gr.B
Of COURSE the workout ticket was another 3-star Wheel of Despair, puking out a racing muffler for an engine for which I could use it...in a swap.

Purchased a 6th and final F1 GTR longtail and took my grind one to Sardegna along with a few other cars for variety. The car is more 'loose' than the CLK-LM but suffers from pretty bad loss of grip past the 50% wear.

I did too much between iRacing and GT7, but 3 weekly challenges done. I really enjoyted the Mono BAC event. very reminiscent of the X19 Nations cup event. Good times. But most importantly the Fanatec 2.2.3.7 wheel base firmware update resolved the disconnection issue! Big win here. the switch for PC/PS5 usb selector is back in the loop and 48+ hours of on time with zero issues switching between Gran Turismo 7 and iRacing. Let the Racing Begin! Now to finish the 2 remaining challenges and grind a million or 2 credits with the quickness.

Did the TT at Dragons Tail and finished my weeklies today (BAC Mono & Kei car cup (Honda beat)), have to say the wheel has been kind past three spins have been a Dodge Viper, 500k and a Honda 2&4 engine

I did 200mph in the pouring rain at Spa in a dicey formula car getting that Gold mission goodness. It was MAGNIFICENT!!!!!

And I have 1440p60 proof:

(last night) I made a new Monster Energy Mango Loco livery. I saw a box of it at HomeSense while the wife and I were shopping for Autumn/Halloween decor for the house.

Then, I used it for win 133 this morning. (Humble brag) I have rating anxiety because my A+ is only a few pixels wide 🔛🔝🔜

Very nice work! The day I won that, all the AI crashed at Les Combes.
Yesterday I finished first in the three remaining weeklies running a Jimmy at Willow Springs and a F-XX-K at Kyoto. The Mono ran well for me at Dragon Trail. I had earned 2nd at Red Bull with a 787B and 3rd at Eiger in a Genesis a few days ago.
Total prizes: Cr. 630,000 and a 2018 BRZ.

Yesterday I put some time into continuing Master Licenses, Got them with 3 golds in Master B-9, B-10, and Master A-1.
B-10 was annoying being 8ms off then 2ms off then got it by 111 milliseconds.

On the GTP account yesterday, I did the Weekly Challenges "fairly", but not completely cleanly:
  • Kyoto European Sunday Cup 400 in 4:24 with a stock MINI Cooper S
  • Willow Springs Lightweight K-Cup in an "unclean" 7:55 with a Honda S660 tuned to 399 PP
  • Dragon Trail Special Event in 9:25 with a stock BAC Mono (it is a bit slippy, but clean)
  • Red Bull Ring Neoclassical Challenge in a dry 15:02 with a Porsche 962 detuned to 799 PP (which allowed for a no-stop run on FM 1)
  • Eiger Norwand WRC Gr.B in an "unclean" 13:49 with a stock Toyota 86 Gr.B (on FM 5 to do a no-stop run)
The 4-star workout Wheel of Despair puked up the low-showing/lowest-possible 10,000 Cr., while the 6-star Challenge Wheel of Despair puked up a Nissan Concept VGT (hung onto for tuning purposes rather than being dumped for a putrid 389,530 Cr.)

I finished the day by dipping into the 1:57.5's on a banzai run at Dragon Trail's time trial.

Did weekly challenges today.
Parts ticket - Bore up kit for 02 NSX
Car ticket - Renault RS 01

Went into the Used car dealer and picked up an Evo 3 and an Evo 4.

Hit silver at the Watkins Glen time trial. Super happy..... now time to get some breakfast and watch some college football.

Today I took my Alfa 155 to Watkins Glen posted a 1:18 on my second lap and then couldn't stay on the track despite my best efforts in the next six laps. Will come back for a silver in the next week.

Went to the Eiger in an old Mini Cooper with a Honda engine and custom gearbox for the European Sunday Cup, was an event less race.

Daytona in a GAC, blunted the tail wagging by putting TC5 on and stormed the field. Apart from overrunning the second corner in the chicane it was largely unremarkable.

Took the Gallardo to Tokyo and delighted in the power off oversteer. Tonked the wall a couple of times and collected the race leader putting him into the barriers at the bottom hairpin on lap 2 to blow the clean race bonus.
Wheel was less generous than late and gave the usual 10k which was the least valuable reward.
Parts ticket was stroke up for a Honda NSX (parts tickets suck), 150k ticket as well.

On the GTP account, after clicking the boxes to get some free cars in a couple days, I did the Weekly Challenges:
  • Eiger Norwand European Sunday Cup 500 in 4:05 with a stock 1989 BMW M3 Sport Evolution (and a sweet pass of the 1997 M3 rabbit in the last hairpin)
  • Daytona American Clubman Cup in 7:52 with a stock 2006 Ford GT
  • Tokyo Special Event in 8:46 with a stock Lamborghini Gallardo (after hundreds of miles of failure)
  • Cataluunya Schwarzwald League in 14:52 with a stock 2009 Porsche 911 that wouldn't have been good enough had the 2022 Porsche 911 started near the front
  • Watkins Glen WTC 800 in 18:41 with a stock Audi R8 LMS Evo (again, after hundreds of miles of failure)
As it spilled over into Sunday, I ignored both the Plus account (except to get in line for the free cars) and the time trial on the GTP account. The roulette wheels gave as follows:
  • The Parts ticket shafted me, though the propshaft was for a car that could use it
  • The car ticket dropped a 2016 Audi R18 (hung onto for tuning purposes rather than being sold for 521,510 Cr.)
  • Saturday's 4-star ticket gave the only cash prize showing, 30,000 Cr.
  • Sunday's 4-star ticket also gave 30,000 Cr., though it was the lower of 2 cash prizes showing

After 2 weeks of not having PS5 setup due to moving and not really having any time to myself I got a few minutes. Did the lastest PS5 update "watched" the GTWS or whatever it's called, bought Muira, and Aventador. Got 1 million from the 6 ⭐ extra menu ticket. Started the weekly challenge only for my wife want to me to talk with her until she fell asleep. That was it for me because I fell asleep as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I did my 4th attempt do get gold in the full lap of the Colorado Springs CE. The last time i've been there is 2 weeks ago. Obviously too long, because i needed half an hour to complete my 1st lap :banghead:
But after 106 Km i finaly done this:
Gran Turismo™ 7_20240930184400.jpg

After Sardegna my 2nd Rally CE, "only" 2 left

And to make the day even better, i got 1 mill from a 4* daily ticket! :D

  • Bought my third Alfa 155 from the Legends dealer.
  • Did the Grand Valley time trial. 1:32:1xx for bronze
  • Did the Suzuka East time trial. 1:04:7xx for bronze... but im gonna go back and watch Tigneys video again because i think I can get silver. I think im losing most of my time in turn 2.

Today I became a poor man in the digital GT7 world of collecting and driving cars.

I bought the 300 SL (W194) '52 today and test drove it at Grand Valley and Nordschleife too. I equipped it with a racing transmission but decided to revert the car to the previous setting. That car is already too good in its stock form. Stable and smooth as it can be.

I've also bought a Lamborghini Miura and a Ferrari GTO in the last couple of days, add that to the 20M I spent on the 300 SL.... I'm broken. My garage looks awesome, but my pocket is in dire conditions.

I was trying to update my PSN account and ended up losing GT7 & sport:banghead:. I had to create new account and need to purchase titles all over again!

Got the two gift cars from the Tokyo event, plus $1m for getting the Manufacturers Cup. Then ran Sardegna for credits and scored 500k for the marathon ticket. Also sitting on 2 golds for the current TT’s, not the Dragons Trail one, things are looking up! Unfortunately the latest update seems a bit underwhelming, but we live in hope

Eh, how so?
You cant "lose" games just like that, except for when you already created a new account instead of updating your current one.
But then your old account will still have access to the games and all you need is to simply sign in.
At which point have you lost the games?
