Yeah. And they still are doing pretty good. TGS was never going to be a huge reveal. So hyping up for something is why people are let down. But there is still time.

On Monday there is so far. ;)

I should have never expected anything from TGS. Now I'll know next year for sure.

Were they ? News to me.

Here was some news about livery editor at Gamescom:

*When asked (in somewhat broken English) if players will be able to customize cars with their own “photos”, “beyond just colors”, in GT6, Kazunori confirmed this is “something they are working on right now,” and mentions that more information on the feature will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show (September 19th).
Kazunori wisely tempers expectations, however, noting that he “does not think a full livery editor be available”*

:)

So, this, again, because they left out the details that they told us they were going to tell us?

So, they lied.

You should have watched that race at Matterhorn with C7s with a pro Super GT racer and a guy. And the pro lost. And he scared me much. Toko knows what I am talking about. :)

How is that relevant to the content reveal that they essentially promised us?

Excatly this. 👍 The other two guys lost to him at Suzuka and Silverstone.

No I'm driving a road sweeper.

Hahaha. :)

EDIT: Oh btw ITCC_Andrew. I understand you've been letdown, I was too. However, theres something up on Monday, so no worries. :)

Oh well, I will give a cookie to youu, because you answered right. lol. ACTUALLY, i will give to everyone here a cookie. But how many we are here. :P

EDIT: Almost everyone was a little letdown, even myself. I am watching forward for the news on GTP. And I am going back to watch Pokemon episodes. :)

Woohoo a internet cookie. :D Theres quite a lot of people here, but I'm not sure they would want the cookies. I'll gladly take them. :sly: lol

I'm just trying to figure out why you two were so enthralled by the game show. I didn't even understand what was going on.

And for all of this talking about stuff coming on Monday, there's nothing being posted and nothing being proven.

And, lastly, your digital cookies are off topic. Sure, everyone can have a cookie. But, is it relevant enough to warrant posting about, in a thread which is designated for GT6, and within which you could prove that there's something planned for Monday?

Funny that, when the information given out at previous events was pretty light the usual suspects here told us to wait for TGS. It's PD's home show they said, it's where they usually announce the most they said, we'll definitely know at TGS so stop moaning and wait they said. Well that went well.

So all the major game shows are gone and we still know pretty much nothing about the actual game. We know some cars and tracks, the underlying core of the game engine and that's about it. So what are we going to have now, little vague tidbits revealed in random interviews?

Way to hype your game PD. Even the coy Rockstar reveal more than this.

Interesting to note that it says the 19th, not the 22nd (despite that's when the Sony Presentation happened).

Who from PD said wait for TGS? I don't listen to people. I wait. As far as I'm concerned, PD/Kaz have not spoken yet.

No they haven't, that is the problem. Now the game shows are over where are they going to announce anything?

Oh and clearly Kaz did say more will be revealed at TGS, it's quoted above.

Here was the news about GT5 at TGS 2010:

*Here’s a quick overview of what’s been discussed in the TGS 2010 GT5 breakout session:
Laguna Seca has been completely rebuilt and will return for GT5. Trial Mountain has also been confirmed.
“Gran Turismo Anywhere” will allow you to manage B-Spec races, right from your computer. You’ll be able to hold B-Spec races with your friends from anywhere in what are called “Remote Races”.
GT5 will feature a series of special events such as the Karting Experience, the AMG driving school, The Stig Challenge, Jeff Gordon NASCAR School, Sebastien Loeb Rally Challenge, and Gran Turismo Rally.
Point-to-point rally stages will be automatically and randomly generated – you’ll have to depend on your co-driver to give you the best instructions about the road ahead.
Rally mode can be played either on or offline.
Weather changes include temperature differences, air pressure changes, and humidity, affecting the surface conditions of the track dynamically.
Weather conditions are randomized. Forecasts for your race will be available but may not be entirely accurate, just like the real world.
Polyphony Digital has helped Red Bull Racing’s Adrian Newey design the X1 Concept – an “ultimate” racing car, free of any technical regulations.
Polyphony Digital has worked to improve engine sounds.
Yamauchi admits that, in certain situations – such as standing race starts in the rain with 15 other cars on the screen kicking up spray in front of you – the game may not be able to hold 60FPS. Otherwise, it will strive to hold 60FPS as often as possible.
The Volkswagen Kubelwagen, which has a drive system like the first beetle, and the amphibious Volkswagen Schwimmwagen will be in the game.
Many things didn’t make the cut in Gran Turismo 5, and work on Gran Turismo 6 has already begun.*

:)

Hey, you don't need to believe me, I just heard it.

That's not how it works though is it.
The way you posted that Monday will have more to reveal was fact.
Could you at least elaborate on where you heard this?

Thanks.

He answered a question. Show me where someone from PD said that TGS would have huge revelations. You talk about hype, who created that? Surely not PD. You admit they haven't spoken. Not everything is told the day of a game show. Even if they don't reveal anything, as long as theres information before launch, its good enough. Problem here is people set dates because of an event.

👍

It's very sad that people are giving excuses.

Kaz said more would be revealed at TGS for a few questions asked, TGS is over. It sounds more like they're afraid to unveil anything that isn't cars to the public in fear it might not make it into the game.

Not only when asked, the presentation at Silverstone, he said we should expect a series of reveals in the coming months, highlighting E3, Gamescom, and TGS as the major events. Obviously, TGS was a lie.

I don't like to be disappointed at Kaz/PD, but I'm going to be honest this time. This was almost unacceptable.

My guess is the features that he planned to reveal at TGS may not make it by launch, and that he doesn't want to show anything that's not going to be available day one. I really hope this isn't the case.

People should not buy at the 1st launch, give them some pressure!

Can anyone who were at the Jalopnik confirm if there is indeed some new info coming monday, or if PD just straight up lied to us about TGS? If the latter is the case, I must admit that I'm beyond dissapointed. It's not that we haven't recieved quite a good chunk of info on GT6 thus far. It's just that you don't lie to your fanbase and expect to get away with it.
