What games are you playing now?

Been playing Elden Ring since midnight. Horizon Forbidden West is on the shelf.
Same here, I just got started on the Elden Ring. Already had a fair share of near-death experience and one actual death experience.

I only played it for about an hour, so I can't really form an in-depth opinion on it, but for better or for worse it's exactly what I expected from the From Software game. I'm looking forward to playing it a bit more tomorrow.

I have roughly 10h and I’m loving every second. And I haven’t reached or entered the Stormveil Castle yet. What a game!

Jup, Elden Ring for me to. Love it to bits. This game is truly something!

Well, just started GT7. Sorry Elden Ring, I have to drive me some cars.

My PS5 showed up a little bit ago. I got it hooked up, updates installed, and now I'm installing GT7. I've been playing it on my PS4, so hopefully I can continue where I left off (I-B license tests). So I'll be playing that for a bit. I also picked up Horizon Forbidden West. I don't know when I'll get around to it, though. I LOVED the 1st game in the series, so I'll definitely be playing it. But I know when I start it, I won't put it down until it's complete. I'd say that about GT7, but I know it'll take me WAY longer to finish it than HFW.

Trying to play Horizon Forbidden West at the same time as GT7, but I underestimated how good GT7 would be and now Horizon has been neglected. The other Horizon, Horizon 5, is now completely collecting dust too.

Guess what? I've returned to Assoluto Racing! Now... on my Chromebook! I returned to Assoluto Racing after some hiatus when I haven't used my Samsung tablet PC in some time. While it was cool having Assoluto Racing on my old Samsung tablet PC, it feels much better to have a dedicated device like a Chromebook to play such games. Assoluto Racing actually runs pretty well on my rather budget Chromebook. When I learned of what gamepads I can use for a Chromebook, one of the devices mentioned was the DualShock 3. So I used my DualShock 3 for Assoluto Racing, and all I needed to do was adjust some of the contoller settings. The game otherwise runs like (dare I say) Gran Turismo on a Chromebook. Another consideration was to use an external mouse to navigate through the menus better than using the Chromebook touchpad. Needless to say, this game runs fairly solidly on a Chromebook.

I picked up Stormworks on a whim and have been goofing around with that. For being voxel-based, it's surprisingly complex in terms of design. It also requires some basic programing knowledge to make your creations work too.

You know, as I was enjoying playing "Assoluto Racing," I also gave Gear.Club a try on my Chromebook. Early on, I noticed there were some missing textures and some pink texture mapping. It was a temporary problem as things got better. Before my game froze up after winning a race later in my career, I got to feel impressed with Gear.Club. Now I can see what this would be like on the Nintendo Switch, saying that the Switch has the Gear.Club series on it. I even felt compelled to buy a performance car in a deal in the game. It is a very good and engaging game. I never thought I would play this game on my Chromebook, and I also didn't think I would get fairly far into it early. This was well-played by Eden Games.

Did a complete playthrough of Wolfenstein 2 this weekend, had tons of fun. The writing and acting were much better than I expected from a game of its kind.

Since my last post here, I've finished Nobody Saves the World.
Loved it to bits: simple yet gorgeous, detailed graphics, pleasant game mechanics and a lovely soundtrack (still listen to it, occasionally, on Spotify).
Was very addicted to it during the whole 40 hours it took me to complete it.

Out of curiosity, I've installed Guardians of the Galaxy and, contrary to what I was expecting, I've been sticking to it and I'm on Chapter 10 already.
The 80's setting on the very beginning of the game, the soundtrack and, above all, the dialogues are what got me hooked.
Nice graphics as well.

I also forgot to mention in my previous posts, that I've played and finished The Medium (before it got out of Game Pass).
Kind of a forgettable experience, to be honest.

Downloaded Slay the Spire seeing as it's free on PS+ at the moment, after @Niku Driver HC recommended it to me. Never played a deck builder before. But I'm liking what little I've been able to play so far. Can tell that this is going to be addictive.

I've temporarily but entirely stopped PC gaming for a handful of reasons so I've been playing GT7 on my PS4 Pro and, for a slight change of pace, Crimsonlands on my Vita.

I probably don't need to say much about the former, we all know what GT7 is and what it isn't, but I will say that as much as I disagree with the monetisation of the in-game economy, it doesn't matter all that much to me personally because I have very limited interest in anything but JDM street cars and trying to lap Tsukuba as quickly as possible in them (I love my Copen!) I kind of like buying upgrades in stages, it does make the cars feel more "real" to me and lets me experience their development instead of jumping straight into the finished product as you can and often do in Forza Horizon.

Crimsonlands looked like a really cheap, basic, boring twin stick shooter but having played it it's actually pretty good, I mean yes it's cheap (the assets look like they've been taken out of a stock library) and yes it's basic, but it's addictive. It does have some uneven difficulty issues but one thing I really like is that the enemy AI doesn't just charge straight at you and they sometimes create little puzzles using special AI behaviour.

While waiting for the GT7 update last night I tried Spider-Man again, picking up a years old NG+ save, and basically feel like I need to start again from scratch because I've forgotten the controls. Also a cutscene got the PS4's fan going so loud that my girlfriend texted me to turn it down because she was worried it would wake our son up (not to mention the fact that it totally drowned out all the sound of the game). That was when I remembered why I don't really play PS4 games anymore.

I have not touched any PC gaming in probably at least a month at this point. I have only been playing on the Switch and that has been somewhat sparingly. On there, I have mostly just been playing Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart. The recent addition of more maps has gotten me to play some more Mario Kart. I have also been playing Animal Crossing here and there, but not much. I recently picked up these:

They look kinda goofy, but they make playing handheld on the Switch so much better. I basically never played handheld on the Switch before these, but will be playing much more going forward.

Still playing Tsushima on PS5 along with GT7.

The wife has been playing Astros Playroom and she’s completed quite quickly and loved it. I’m tempted to pick up the Little Big Adventure game or Ratchet and Clank.

I’m also looking forward to Unpacking coming this month or next. Seems like the kind of game I can play on 15 minute breaks from work.

Unpacking is such a brilliant game. Super relaxing and with a nice, subtle story. Loved it to bits.

Must admit, it certainly caught my eye. Bit like when I’d seen The Touryst, I knew I’d love it.

Prior to the last few days, I had only briefly used the Hori Split Pad Pro. The last few days I have spent several hours playing the Switch handheld. It is a completely different experience with these. The Split Pad Pro is not as good as a Pro controller, but it is probably about as good as it gets for a handheld solution.

Destiny 2.

My Warzone buddies and I are absolutely sick of that game so we are giving this a go. I bought both Destiny games at launch but I haven’t played this for a long time, it feels like Halo which is great.

One big issue I’m having right now is that if I play on the PS5 version then I cannot hear my friends who are on Xbox One. If I play the PS4 version then I don’t have this issue, but it looks and feels awful in comparison.

Is this a common problem with crossplay on different console generations?

Gran Turismo 7 is my primary source of entertainment. However Cyberpunk 2077 and Riders Republic have been getting some looks in.
