And i watched a old & bad Jackie Chane/Sammo Hung film, My Lucky Stars. It was suppost to be a comedy, but i think it was mostly lost in translation, it was pretty bad. However the end action sequence was very good.
I used to like them when I was a kid(Jackie and Sammo), so I bought that DVD since it was like $5. I think I finished like the first 20 minutes. :D

Watch Dragons Forever! That's the best of the Jackie Chan/Sammo Hung/Yuen Baio movies. It's great.

I watched Crhonicles of Narnia, and was really surprised how good it was. Great flik for being Disney.

Just watched "The Island" today, and that was a good action flic right there! I was surprised. When I first saw the adds for this movie I didn't know what it was supposed to be about but it looked stooopid. Well I was wrong.

I rented Lord Of War the other night and I must say it was a damn good movie.

Never really been a fan of Cage but his 'vague and lost' expression that he uses too often really helped in this film.

Have seen Dragons Forever (ages ago) and i remember thinking it was really good. I need to get it on DVD. Project A is my fav Jackie/Sammo film.

Seen one I've been putting off for awhile, watched " The island " when i first started the movie, I though it was going to be a Aeon Flux kinda crap, but once they got out out of the 'compound' it got freakin interesting and cool.

I just watched Batman begins on a 150cm wide screen :D

I watched Open Range earlier today as well and I think I'm going to watch Master and commander tomorrow if I'm as un-busy as I was today.

Yuen Baio, now there is another guy I used to like. I had no idea how to spell that name in English though(just katakana :D).

My favorite with those three are "Wheels on Meals". It was called "Project X" or something like that in Japan. "Wheels on Meals" doesn't quite sound right either. I have it on DVD though.

Edit: It was called "Spartan X".

Meals on Wheels!! I remember watching that as a little kid with my Mom and sister. And since they spoke in Cantonese (well the one I saw did anyways) I could understand it. It was absolutely hilarious.

Ahem, excuse me while I wallow in my nostalgia and go find a copy of the movie.

Bellevue, huh? Near Seattle, I think? Anyway, I had to get my copy from eBay. I couldn't find one locally in Oregon.

P.S. Don't bother rushing to get one. The movie was WAY better the way I remembered it. :D

School of Rock! I gotta admit that Jack Black hasn't really impressed me, but after watching this movie I have since changed my mind! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Jack is hilarious and he rocks in this movie and so do those kids!

I wander what he is like in King Kong?

He's good in King Kong, very different role to in School of Rock, but he's good in it.

Watch thew movie " The Jackal " If you want to see one of Jack Blacks earliest roles...he plays a really funny side character! ( for a short time *blamo* )

Watched 'The Manchurian Candidate' last night (the newer version with Denzel 'shouldn't-have-got-those-tooth-caps' Washington) which i thought was pretty good, better than i was expecting from the reviews i'd read.

I thought it was a fantastic movie..although I am a huge Denzel Fan. I think hes got a damn good delivery, esp. for those momentous occasion monologues.

Yeah I enjoyed The Manchurian candidate as well, I was told it wasn't that good by a lot of people. Not a patch on Man on fire though, that is to date, the best film Denziel has been in imo.

Did you get chance to watch Master and Commander?

I thought it was a great film - can't wait for the sequals.

It's on now, I've seen it before about a year or two ago, it was a great film butI've just got it on DVD the other day, 2 disk special edition for £4.50, not too bad eh.

Last movie I went to the theaters to see was "Nacho Libre" A pretty big dissapointment IMO.. I admit, it was funny at parts, but overall the movie was a letdown. This past weekend though, I rewatched Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jackass the Move. I can't Wait for Clerks 2. :D

Mulholland Falls Nick Nolte, Melanie Griffith, Chazz Palminteri, Michael Madsen, Chris Penn, Treat Williams, Jennifer Connelly. Of course, in HD.

I love this movie. I think it's a "guy" flick that women wont like as much. Everybody in it is fantastic, except Melanie Griffith. She was horrible. Jennifer Connelly stole the movie from her, which wasn't so hard to do, actually. But, the little time Jennifer got, and sadly, it was only a little, she blew everyone else away.

The story is about the murder of an expensive hooker (Jennifer). She made films of her customers with the help from her gay best friend and room mate. She sees and films somebody and something she shouldn't have and is murdered for it.

Nick Nolte plays head detective of the "Hat Squad," a LA detective squad from the earl '50s, who tries to solve the murder. After a while, he realizes he's been captured on film, too, having sex with this hooker, and the hunt for the film and the person responsible for her death ensues.

Like I said, a great film. It's close to LA Confidential, but no where near the quality, but still a good movie. Watch it at least once if you get a chance. Oh, and Jennifer is topless in this one, which is quite a lovely sight. 👍 :sly:

Resident Evil: Apocalypse! Its ok! The tough girls still don't have nothing over Lara but all in all their not bad! The zombie dobermans and that big tough dude look cool! Fighting that tough dude in the PS game is freaky! I couldn't believe that her kicking and punching of him actually knocked him back a bit! And the big guy turns good  Which game is this based on? Weapons are pretty cool i.e gattling gun!

The part at the end when they use that nuke or whatever it is to kill off those zombies is ace!

Rented Pirates of the Caribbean today and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I then went to watch the sequal and thoroughly enjoyed that too...

*Note: I might have a slight bias towards Keira Knightley, she's so hot right now.

Well the weather has been good recently so that might explain why.

I saw Tokyo Drift yesterday. I think it was the worst movie in the series, though the second one was pretty bad, too. I thought it would be more funny, like the 1st one and somewhat the 2nd. The series needs Paul Walker and Vin Diesel back. I didn't like the hillbilly main character much.

Went to see Pirates of The Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest on the day it came out in the UK. A brilliant film IMO. Go and watch if you haven't seen it!
