What's eating at Lewis Hamilton?

If it's anything, it's the "Dad" thing. His father has been his manager since he was a kid, and has sacrificed a lot for his son's career. That's not to say his father has always been a positive force in his life, as I don't know the personal dynamic between the two... whether he's a benevolent manager or Joe Jackson (I suppose Michael never really recovered)... but that's been causing him all kinds of trouble.

But, if anything, Lewis is mostly mad at his critics and naysayers, and he feels that this pole is a vindication, and he's milking it for all it's worth. Still... a pole is nothing if you don't win the race...

I'm worried for the guy to be honest, he looked like his head was elsewhere this morning. I hope everything is ok for him, not a fan personally but I'd enjoy seeing him win tomorrow.

He drove brilliantly today. Hamilton is one of my favorite drivers, along side Kimi and Senna. I just love the driving style and Hamilton can pull some incredible overtakes.

We know he's fast but recent changes don't suit him I feel. Driving with a full tank and pacing out tyres and fuel is pretty annoying. I remember Lewis saying at the start of the season on how slow it is. I hope he doesn't quit, F1 changes so much it'll come back round I'm sure. The lap time for most of the race are quit slow but I have enjoyed pretty all the races except Valencia. I do miss the old hell for leather and keeping up a consistent manic pace.

I also hope its not the Dad thing, my Dad passed away when I was a bit younger than Lewis is now, life is really short and he shouldn't take him for granted or push him away. I remember when I was a teen I kinda felt Dad was in the way but it was absolute rubbish and luckily I realized before it was too late. Even now I regret not doing enough for my Dad in those selfish times.

I do notice how Lewis gets a bit pissy when people mention his lifestyle, maybe he just takes things too personal from the media and Dad.

Dude has to wake up and realize he'll be in his late thirties in a flash so enjoy it while you can, there's no time for moping about. He should also visit Massa, really bad how he snubbed him and went straight to the interview.

Seems his relationship with Nicole Scherzinger is now over. Could this be the reason for his poor performances this year?

Let's hope for him he can now focus more on his career again.

Didn't the two already broken up once last year?
More like twice.

That's the thing about tabloids - they know money-spinners when they see them. They'll regurgitate the same stories over and again, each one carefully-worded so that the paper never actually commits to anything. If you look carefully, one of the captions suggests that Hamilton and Sureidbangher were, at one point, engaged ... but I'm pretty sure you'll find The Daily Fail started the story in the first place.

Like it, and I agree.

Doubt it has much to do with the mirrors being useless or the fact that he keeps hitting people. His wheel to wheel antics with Webber on Sunday should boost his confidence, but it does not make up for some of his manouvers from early this season.

Remember the kind of stick Vettel got for hitting Button at Spa last year? Difference is that this time around, the media are blaming Massa. With some people even suggesting that his problems with Hamilton are a hangover from 2008. Nothing to do with the fact that Hamilton seems magnetized to his car.
