I'm gonna buy it with my blind eyes. Just for nostaly sake. And because I bought a PS3 just for Gran Turismo. If it's awesome I'll keep it as well as my PS3. If it sucks or is released for PS4, I'll keep my GT5 as a souvenir and will sell my PS3 to buy a new wheel.

I`ll buy it in first day. even with game prices in my country (new games in iran = about 120$ , new games after 2 or 3 weeks = about 90$)
But I think after GT5 & its some flaws , many gamers wont buy GT6 if its rating cant reach +90

Honestly, they wouldn't have to change the game much for me to preorder GT6 today. As long as they can get rid of the standard vs. premium, up their car and track selection a little, and maybe develope online a bit I would happily throw down my money now.

I guess my "not much" is a little much but it's what I hope for. Besides, as of yet, GT has no real competitor on PS3. Project Cars could prove interesting though.

I can't wait for GT6 but I do get that GT5 isn't finished feeling. It's definitely good just the standard cars and tracks is so annoying. GT6 I would assume is GT5 plus more! Which has got to be good. Just gotta wait and see.

Your views aren't biased at all are they? Full modelled and half modelled? Give me a break. What about the FACT that a cockpit is modelled for every car in FM3/4 but only about 20% of cars in GT5 are modelled and the rest are pathetic silhouettes?
I don't know where to start with the bias in this one? Maybe you mentioning the same thing twice for GT5 (Weather/Time), the fact many of those changes were very limited (Damage, Premium only features) or everything you missed from FM (Mainly the extensive online updates and new career mode each time), as well as the stuff it had from the start. That isn't innovating more, thats playing catch up.
Bias? I'm putting a list of facts, prove me wrong with your clearly unbiased view(JK). I'm still waiting that someone tell me what are all those FM4 features that leaves GT5 evolution from GT4 stagnant in comparisson. No one seems to want to enter in much details, curious.

About being limited or not, seems that you are also ignoring what I'm trying to prove with that list. Read again my last posts. Or maybe you want to delete Autovista from the list because was only in 24 cars of +500. That's less than 5% of the total for a major promoted feature of FM4..

Strange, I could swear we have a thread for discussing FM vs GT. Oh, yep, we have several.

Take it there.

@ Slip one more wont hurt EH ? lol
Ironic post and signature, because the "overall evolution" from GT4-5 is exactly what bothers me.
The lack of, to be specific.

I dont think he meant the evolution from GT4 to GT5 but more so the "overall evolution".
Im also failing to see whats ironic about my post.

Polyphony Digital have said that Gran Turismo Academy is “along our path from GT5 to GT6”, personally I am disappointed by the thought of GT6 so soon, as I am still waiting for the satisfactory completion of GT5. GT5 was not, in my opinion, a good enough finished product at time of release, and despite numerous updates still is not.
Having played the first three GT games, I am now unlikely to buy GT6 as GT5 was so unsatisfactory in comparison to its predecessors.

I don't believe you. You will buy GT6 the first day it comes.

I wont buy it on release day either. Believe it. Not after GT5 and MANY people feel the same way. That much is obvious as the sales numbers for GT5 are well below the PS2 versions. There is a reason for that .. consumers are getting savvy to Kaz and Polyphony.

I love GT5 but it was VERY late, had a ridiculous percentage of PS2 cars that had been updated, not enough new tracks, a clunky menu that has not moved with the times, limited races most of which were PS2 copies and some aspects which are still a disgrace .. I was playing the Rally Special Event last night and the crap pixelated spectators are a joke. They were best left out. The updates have been mostly great but the DLC schedule and other promises on content have NOT been kept. End result ??, people are going to struggle to believe it is a complete product out of the box after GT5.

There are people out there who will buy it on release day .. the type who would go shoulder deep in Kaz's lower colon if he ever came to a sudden halt. And he, and Sony, know that. Until they stop blindly following and demand the game we ALL know Gran Turismo can be then blindly handing over your hard earned is a folly in my view.

You guys come to a forum for a game that is over a year and half old every single day, and you're not gonna buy gt6. Umm ok?

Let's be honest; all the diehard GT players since day one have mixed feelings of GT5. I won't repeat all the points that disappoint me so i won't sound like a broken record, but there doesn't seem to be light at the end of the tunnel neither.

Countless updates which made the game better yes, but the main flaws remain.

And i won't wait until PS4 drops to a reasonable price a year or two after release, so i can play GT6. That means 2014-2015 at the earliest.
Better prospect now, is to switch to Forza next year when it makes GT eat it's dust. And that point isn't far off anymore.

Thats because we are loyal folks, loyal and dedicated but increasingly fustrated :)

Yes it's sad as this thread tittle GT5 is still my favorite game and the GT series looks promising in my opinion.

For me it's less about how the game played- I don't care if there's more A-spec races but having played GT3 and GT4 and hated them, GT5 and before that, GT5P, are the ones that make me appreciate the series. Sure, I would love a more realistic tire physics but to me the FFB is already quite good (as I've quoted before, Stefano Casillo of netKAR and Assetto Corsa shared the same sentiment) and to me it's the driving experience that makes GT5 what it is.

What I would like to do is suggest to Kazunori Yamauchi that he should hire Stefano Casillo (once Assetto Corsa is finished around Xmas 2012) even if it's for consultant. Circa 2003, Stefano lived in Tokyo although I know he doesn't speak Japanese but he admires the GT series (and Japanese women) and I'm sure Kazunori appreciates a bit of Italianate in the next GT. I shall tweet Yamauchi-san (using my Polyphonie Twitter Account) and make the suggestion.

This 100% 👍

I hate twitter 140 character limit. For all I know Yamauchi-san probably has met Stefano and their personalities clashed and why Stefano went and created nKP. But on the other, it's probably a match just waiting to happen. Next- I'll see if Stefano has a Twitter account although I know he can be reached via Kunos and that he posts occasionally on Drivingitalia.

I can say I will not buy the game on it's release date like I did with GT5, I'm gonna wait and see if they fix the many flaws we have on GT5.

maybe Stefano is a hard working person, which clashes with PD's policies.

He'd be a superb addition to the team, though you should realize if you post something like that here most probably Turn10 is going to steal the idea.

140 character limit? That's pretty useless considering that this message alone is 80-100 characters long including spaces.

GT5 has been a major dissapointment in many aspects. Even after the updates. It's fun for multiplayer stuff, but everything else never did it for me. Unfortunately. I did however love all the previous ones and played them to death, alike many other fans.

Briefly; I definitely won't rush and buy GT6 on day one, whenever that'll be.

It appears PD have put GT5 to rest, which is good. After its disappointment, I think it's clear they have put it mostly behind them (updates are still present).

Kaz, you'll get your extra two years + more. Let's see what your vision is.

And let's see if your vision is a vision GT fans want to still be apart of.

Once upon a time, it was 1998.
