Who will not buy GT6?

GT5 has been a major dissapointment in many aspects. Even after the updates. It's fun for multiplayer stuff, but everything else never did it for me. Unfortunately. I did however love all the previous ones and played them to death, alike many other fans.

Briefly; I definitely won't rush and buy GT6 on day one, whenever that'll be.

If GT6 is as good off line as is on line, I'll be quickly divorced.

I still play GT2, and it's a way better game with more content. I don't even care that it's not "HD". It's a well rounded game. Don't get reeled into any GT6 hype or you'll be even more disappointed. Wait for a COMPREHENSIVE review before considering GT6.

GT6 is a buy for me for sure, possibly pre-order. This game (other than previous GT titles) has spent more time in my PS than any other game. I play other games in between but GT5 is the only one that keeps coming back. What can I say, I'm an addict.

I actually bought my PS3 mainly for GT5. Looking from when GT5 was launched until now, I've actually seen my G27 evolve into a fully functioning steering wheel (as apposed to Prologue). This is just one of the many ways I know, GT6 will be an improvement.

Was I disappointed with some aspects of GT5, yes. Do I believe people learn from their mistakes, of course!

PS3 or PS4, whatever, I'm in!

I read the IGN review of GT5 back then, and altough i tought "damn they didn't improve the things they had to improve, and standard cars wut???", I still bought it and have been playing it since almost every day.

Their 8/10 score was correct tough, for a rushed and unfinished product. Problem back then was there wasn't any competition to speak of as the Turn 10 boys were still not on "that" level.

Now they are, so PD better get their act together, because people won't be as forgiving with a flawed GT6 that is delayed countless of years again. It needs to be a 10/10 now mister Yamauchi and it better get here soon!

Well, I will only buy it does most of the following things:

- Much more sophisticated A-Spec mode, means way more unique events (not always same cars on same tracks... im looking at you tsukuba!) and a better reward system, like in the old GTs were you could only win certain cars from certain events. Right now almost no car is really special because each one of them can be aquired with money.

- More quality tracks. I don`t want to race on GT3/GT4 Trial Mountain on my PS3. Also more samples for the track creator would be nice.

- A more quality based car list. No dozens replicas of the same model (GT-Rs, Miatas, 3000GTs...). Also, fans have been asking for porsche for years now. Listen to us!

- More unique premium cars. I won`t buy GT6 if most of the new premium cars are just updated standard cars which were just different models from already created premium cars. I want interior view in every car.

- Better tuning system, why does my cars weight not change when I install a carbon drive train? More race modifications, give us a livery editor, even if it is restricted to prohibit some idiots putting naked women on the hood or writing stuff in bad language at their car.

- Updated physics, drag penality for downforce settings should be higher etc.

It appears PD have put GT5 to rest, which is good. After its disappointment, I think it's clear they have put it mostly behind them (updates are still present).

Just to reiterate for who know how many times- kaz has been quoted as saying gt5 was not how he hoped it would have been at release and he wanted another 2 years.

GT5 release date: 24th November 2010

Kaz's extra 2 years for what he wanted to make a "complete" game: 24th November 2012

So that's... 6 months left to go.

Better start getting busy with those updates and DLC packs then, buddy, instead of messing around racing Nissans.

I have started my GT playing career with GT5, and am definitely going to be buying GT6 out of the gate. My sincere wish is that it is a PS4 launch title , sometime in 2013.

Buy it on release day or 6 months later doesn't seem to make much sense. It will be the same price in 6 months so why not get it early? Also it seems like everyone is wanting perfection out of gt6. Whatever system gt6 is on it will undoubtedly be an improvement over gt5. Have any of the GT games gone backwards as far as improvements go? Do the ones that constantly complain about gt5 play other racing games? Are you satisfied with other sims, or do you voice your criticism in their forums as well? Not flaming or baiting, just curious why so many that are unpleased hang around and contribute almost daily. I agree there are many areas for improvement, but I also still enjoy what I do have and don't think there is anything else currently available that can replace all aspects of gt5.

Anyone else sick of people complaining that gt5 isn't finished? Seriously, what game is anymore? We've received more updates for gt5 than i have ever seen for any other console game. People are just never happy and always want something to complain about. Honestly, it sounds to me like gran turismo just isn't the game for you. Maybe you should try something else.

Well there's too many options out there to justify and be playing with a plain bad game. In this days we expect more than pretty shinny graphics. While variety is good we need mure than just a bunch of random cars that make no sense. We need more than that, way more.

I did not mean it like that Scaff my bad, but I have been on GTP for a long time (my favorite site) and it seems like everybody is taking shots at GT which in the end is cool because people can do what ever they want to do. But to say I'm pitching flame bait and non sense isn't harsh a bit from the evidence not only in this thread but other too?. Look at the threads around here "Who will not buy GT6" "Who is moving to a better sim" Even the E3 thread got crazy in the end before it was locked. Why can't it be who will not/will buy GT6? I think we already have a similar thread on here discussing the topic. Also I'm cool playing more sims, but why does it have to be better sims? These are just example I was talking about the negativity lately. There are people who have great threads on how to improve GT series and I am all for it but the couple of weeks have been pretty rough on this the Planet that all I am saying. Some people have legatime gripes with GT and that cool I also have problems with GT5, but some people are posting GT will eat FM dust ect is not taking it overbored? This is all I am saying, the threads lately have been pretty negative not contructive at all. Again maybe I woreded it wrong I did not mean no harm.

That's all fine, but please keep in mind that none of these threads/posts have broken the AUP, and as such don't deserve to be singled out.

As you say you have been here a while and should be able to remember that none of this is new, we had similar posts with GT4 and GT3 before that.

But just as some people say Just don't play GT5 and play Forza, which is not right in my opinion not the same as some of these comments in this thread? I don't know I take whats best from the game and ride with it.

I don't want play Forza. I want PD to move their lazy a** and fix some dumb issues with the game. No, I'm not asking more premium cars. I just want to select my AI opponents vehicles so I can prevent the retarded grid of Le Mans from the 60's + Super GT's. We want easy fixes for stupid issues. We pretend logic and common sense. PD lacks of common sense.

That and balance the performance of the cars in their respective classes, right now the way things are they make absolutely no sense, exept for the cars having advantages over the others in stock form, and they even get that wrong!

If they kept evrything well organized within the game files, they should have no trouble at all! Same with the sound samples and vehicle physics. Just look at the structure of any of the great PC titles and you'll understand!
