I chose GT5P, only cause I don't have GTPSP and that I'm planning on setting my first ever lap at the improved Curcuit de la Sarthe in my peice of mechanical wonders, the Nissan GT-R Proto.

I will start from scratch as I hope to get a lot of value for money from the game :) With 1000 cars and 20 tracks, trying to set decent lap times for each variation should take a while.

I'll first do the usual. 10k Cr, buy a used MA70 Supra (if there is one), go to cups, earn some money...And if i get bored i'll just import my GT PSP data and get all the goodies i have in my GT PSP garage. :D

So you guys rather start from scratch? Starting from scratch seems good for most people, but not everyone would like that.

Good thing I have over 430+ vehicles in GTPSP, plus including GT5P too.

Did you know that: in previous GT games we have saved alot of credits to buy the cars that we want?

Erm, I'm kinda failing to see what you're point is from that ?

Hell yeah im transferring my whole damn collection to GT 5 (both Prologue and PSP)

What you people are talking about is the GT career mode, and that will be unaffected by however many vehicles you should transfer as those will only be available in arcade mode.

So if the GT mode is unaffected meaning i will still have to start with a small crappy vehicle and work my way up then why shouldn't i bother transferring my cars?

Its stupid not to In my opinion.

Besides all of these will be standard vehicles for the most part, it will mean i can utilize my credits on collecting the 200+ premium cars first.

Either way its a win win for all ,
If you choose not to then you can sit there grinding like a monkey to your hearts content going round and round test tracks to be able to afford some expensive standard cars !

If you choose to transfer then you will have access to a plethora of vehicles to enjoy in arcade races , time trials without the need to focus on racking up mindless credits from the get go! you can focus on driving what gt is all about !

One thing that i need clarification on is whether online mode will be included under the "arcade" banner. I.e will you be able to choose these transferred cars for online play?

Either way power to the people do what suits you best , there aint no right way !

^ In GT4, you can either choose a car unlocked from Arcade Mode (stock) or from your Garage (upgraded) to play split-screen/online. FM3 does the same thing and so does all the racing games, I don't think GT5 will be any different.

I'll bet pd issues a bronze trophy for transferring..

think about it, you probably wont get a platinum trophy if you don't import anything..

This is going to piss off the hardcore guys

He he, I will definitely be having a head start on GT mode because I pre-ordered the Collectors edition that comes with 5 chrome vehicles. :)

Now you must be out of your mind thinking people won’t transfer their data. It was done from GT3 to GT4.I've put in a lot of time into the PSP version of GT5 and i want the cars that I've gotten in the PS3 version of GT5. It clearly states that we wont be able to complete the garage in the GT5 PS3 version with out the cars from the PSP version. I understand going through all the steps of the sim. Some of us have been enjoying this for more than 10 years and I got a pretty good feeling that a lot of us will transfer data. Let the newbs learn there steps as they go. Sorry to be so frank on that matter.

I selested yes to prologue data BUT it will only be for my casual driving profile and not for my GTP WRS account which will be what I play more often.

but there are events with different requirements (like horsepower, manufacturer like in Prologue), so i think it shouldn't ruin the experience of the GT5

Part of the fun for most people is setting goals for what cars they want to eventually own, so starting the game with those cars in your garage would kind of ruin that.
I can see why some people would do it, but I enjoy starting from scratch and working my way up. Nothing like using that starting POS car, and a few thousand credits to take me to a performance monster and millions of credits.

According to the article in PSM3 you can transfer your favorite 100 cars. I kinda like this better.

I won't transfer any of my data. I like to start a fresh new game and work my way from the S13 Silvia up.

Pretty sure this only applies to Arcade mode. I definitely don't want to transfer these into GT Life, that would ruin it in my opinion. However, having 100 cars of my choice, to have for head to head with friends. And some random fun around a track... is a good thing in my opinion.

i hope I can trasfer my gt5p cars i wont use yhem in career just in arcade ,and my 2.000.000 ,i hope i can trasfer them i wont buy an expensive starting car i will use the money in the future of the game.
