Scandinavians!! You can race on Fridays and go out on Saturdays! Saves you money and health 👍

For me, I did a promise on new years eve, not do drink a single drop of alcohol until the beginning of April. My fotballteam is going to Turkey for a week in the first week of April to get some high quality training sessions in a nice temperature.. On the last Saturday, we'll go out.. HARD :) Until then it's a big "NO, NO" with alcohol for me.. On the other hand, I'm 30 and probably needs to take more care of myself than you guys around 20ish to stay fit and healthy..

You guys probably don't care... But it was just a suggestion to save som money and try to stay healthy :)

Some pics of the battle with @Nycrom, Paggydaddy and i, and then Nycrom and i:tup:

Great pics mate!!!!! I like to much!! :)

Not sure if to keep with the original grid spots or the real start grid, but here you go 👍

I added Blitz and faqoldschool as they were available for the race, but had connection issues

Feel free to remake the layout for layout consistency ;-)

Hehe thanks for the suggestion :) I actually don't go out every week, but you can't tell the danish youth to stay away from alcohol more than 14 days :)

Really nice pics mate! It looks epic with three yellowhat's driving close :) I'm sad that i hit you from behind, sorry for that :) i could have been a nice big battle between all of us :)

No worries bro:tup: I can see you're a clean driver but sometimes we all make tiny mistakes which leads to little :)bumps

EDIT: love the Escort avatar, i love old fords

Thanks for the data. To answer your question, you should have stayed with 1-10 as it is how many cars you started (instead of basing it on the Super Lap Qualy).

for the real championship will points be given for, pole in each class, and fastest race lap? aswell as points based on placing?

Thanks ! :) and yes we do.

Yea my uncle is talking about getting me an old one as my first car! Then I'll make it rally ready :sly:

just practiced a bit on nurburgring gp/f best time so far is 1.58.483 on soft tyres in a arta

Thats pretty fast...

I have to be honest, this is the first legtimate time of me trying to get to know NUR GP/F with some seriousness... Track has a ton of space for mistakes, but those curbs really kill you. First few laps i did were 2'02.xxx... Few more laps and manage to go down to 2'00.xxx

I tried the Cusco by the way. Ton of understeer but a bit easier to drive than the lexus.

I've just purchased 3 new cars.
Lexus Denso Dunlop GT500
Honda Raybrig NSX GT500
and the Lexus Weds Sport GT300

I think it could be funny to ride the Lexus GT500, since i havn't seen anybody driving them. Then we could have a more mixed GT500 field.
And it would be nice to ride in the GT300 class, so - It will be a surprise wich car I'll show up in next week. :D

Edit: Masi I don't know for sure if I'll enter on friday, as I'm going to pick up my GF in the airport. And she'll only be here for 3 days. So if i can squeeze in some time, I will. So I'll be submitting a q-lap anyway ;)

I will put up a poll about car choice and the option of having to run another week of preseason race after this. Remember, only 2 votes. Voters will not be anonymous.

p.s. Monoha, do you how many laps Blitz and Faq ran before they got Disconnected? Or did they get disconnected before the start of the race?

p.s.s. Paggy, just make sure you give 24 hours notice before the race of your final decision whether you'll race or not.

Edit: Poll up :)

from the poll.

surely we should stay in the same cars...each car having unique track strengths and weaknesses, otherwise I dont think it will be as good

0, they were in the room, but wasnt able to be connected for the race start

1.3 and 0.5 anyone who runs a lexus and have a good setup for nurburgring gpf please send me a pm i really want to know how i can be so slow in it

Have you just bought it? It caps at 333HP when fully run in with an oil change, but legitimately the Lexus is much slower down straights than the Arta and RX7 so you'll have to make up ground with setup work. Not tried Nurburgring yet but tbh I will probably just use my Seca set up with just some transmission changes, and see how that goes. Soften your dampers and spring rates, raise ride height and run maximum downforce.

Was some comment earlier in the topic that the GT300 cars are evenly matched, but on soft tyres I really don't think they are. At Seca I did 2 hours of setup work in the Lexus and did a 1:23.2, I then did 5 laps in an oil-change-only RX7 (0 miles on the clock) and did a 1:23.2 on the 5th lap. With running the car in and setup work, that car is miles quicker. At the bottom of the hill at Seca, the RX7 is 7mph quicker than the Lexus, I think there can be no doubt that some cars are quicker than others. The Lexus requires significantly more setup work to get it anywhere near the pace of the Artas and RX7s.

I set fastest lap in D1 in the Lexus, but that was on hard tyres, and I had a 13s lead, didn't have to push much, so my tyres were very very fresh when I decided to see what sort of lap time I could put in. Once I set the fastest lap, I went back to tyre management and dropped off pace. Others were in battles for most of the race or didn't have the luxury of the lead that I had, so I doubt their tyres were as fresh as mine.

If we continue to run hard tyres in the race then the cars become a lot more even - but I can see myself not making Div1 some weeks since we run quali on softs and I can't match laptimes in my Lexus on softs to laptimes I do in the RX7 on softs. I was 0.8 slower in Quali, but in pre-race practice on Hard Tyres, I was 0.1 slower, with the same setup. For that reason I might change to the RX7 for full season, but still thinking about it.

Ok, no points :)

They must start to get points.

Just tried to make it a real life similarity, as if it was a starting grid motor failure... because the only reason why they didn't compete was the connection, and was here trying all they could to get in. Ah well, no points to them

No! Thou shall not give in to temptation! :D

I tested the Subie with a quick tune on Seca yesterday, and i was surprised i beat my Qualifying lap within the 3rd lap! There's noticeable under-steer from turns 3 and 4, but it has tons of grip around the high speed corners all through out, especially turn 6 (left hander under the bridge). It was a lot faster downhill after the corkscrew and the right hander after that.

I think the Arta and the RX-7 are a bit overplayed, so im sticking with the Lexus... a far better challenge i think. I will try and test the Subie and see if i should run it this week.

Hmmm... good point though. I'll think about it. I'm working on the points now. Should be ready in a few minutes.

Here is Div2 results in the same format if you prefer:

Thanks man. Although i think i changed my mind and should count the other 2 drivers. Can you put them in as DNS (Did Not Start)? :)

Sure, here you go:

Fixed a mistake, see post below

Still impressive nonetheless! :)

Any tip you feel like sharing about tuning the GT-R's on soft tires, besides as little camber as possible and hardened suspensions on the back?

Well actually some camber might help the grip around the long corners (thinking of the long hairpin and the other sweepers). So I wouldnt put that to 0 right away.

It depends on what your car is doing really.

I'd say on soft tyres you have a lot of grip so you want the car to be pointy as you're less concerned with oversteer.

So I would soften up the front end a little bit, perhaps make it toe-out slightly. Keep the rear as it is, then see how the car feels. It should have nice initial response to turn in. Then if it's oversteering too much on the power you can either put up the acceleration sensitivity on the LSD, or soften up the rear a bit.

The dampers are the ones to tune for corner entry / exit, as this involves weight shifting.

Just make one change at a time, do a few laps and try to be consistent, rather than balls out, then you can see how the setup changes the lap time.

Hey Andil how about proper names in those charts (me and ffocus) :)

Hi Vaga, sorry that I pushed you quite hard on the side in today's training.
My chat didn't work, so I'll to apologies here 👍
