Three overly aggressive moves gets a race off for the racer...three more and he is gone?

Said move has to be finalized as dirty via majority vote. Basically if you cause enough trouble all the stewards have to watch you, this gives them something to get rid of you with. Basically you the racer will have to be clean or you could be gone all together.

Again that is just an idea.

I had a small incident with Denilson/chorda on the second lap and I figured I would do a small report on it. We have already discussed said incident in PM.

NilsUrban, Centura (me) and chorda driving onto the Arnage straight before Porsche Curves.

I noticed that NilsUrban's Xanavi is damaged (slow pace) and I decide to overtake him on his right.

A couple of seconds later and this is how it looks.

110211lemanschorda03.png

There isn't enough room for an overtake now and I have to abort it. Notice that chorda have moved over the middle line to overtake NilsUrban after me (I assume).

I'm starting to move in line behind NilsUrban after aborting my overtake. chorda is closing in fast;

And this is the result of a small misjudgement and lack of patience on my side. chorda tried to avoid me, but it was too late, SLAM! It caused me rear left damage and front right damage for chorda.

I think chorda continued on driving with his damage, but I had to pit. NilsUrban also went in to the pits because of an earlier incident.

A much smarter decision by me would have been to overtake him on his left side. You can very clearly see on these pictures that he was slowly moving over to the right side all along.

This is where a turn indicator would be nice or even mics....or we can agree on a side to pass no matter the track. If its a straight and you wanna pass, right is right?

So if make it standard order that if you are off pace to keep left and let faster cars on right.....cause the right is right for passing.

Also faster car, I know you dont wanna lose pace and neither would I. But to be fair to all dont over take this car if its in a turn. Nothing god comes from this. Now if you are racing for position and not working a broken car then race it out.

I guess it comes down to the broken car to move left and leave room. If in a turn, run your line and immediately on exit move left and let the faster car go right....cause right is right for passing.

No, I'm afraid you cant say what side of the road to stay at if you have damage. In the case above, the best choice NilsUrban could have made was to stay on the left side, since that was his position when he entered the straight. By moving across the circuit only confuses drivers, as the situation stated above might show :)

In this occasion, the left side was the right side side for NilsUrban, but if the corner before the straight was a lefthander, he would have been best of staying to the right.

It's all about moving your car away from any trouble as fast as possible. As fast as possible would have been to stay close to the rail on the left side of the track in this case.

Me and Centura had a discussion about this incident thru PM and decided that it was a "racing incident". No penalty was given.

I totally agree..

But as you said, there will be no penaltys unless the offended driver reports it. Yes, that's the way it works. OR if incidents happens in front of a steward when watching the replay, you can count on a PM with som questions :) And probably a penalty as well, even dough the incidend did not actually get reported. It's all about letting the stewards now about an incident. So if a steward detect incidents during watching replay, that incident is known without a report. Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain 👍

But let me tell you, when reports starts to come in pointing out the same driver from race to race, it will be pretty simple to decide if a penalty should be handed out or not. We are working on a rep-system, with points for the cleanest racers. I think that is a great feature alongside the actual championship 👍

👍
I forgot about the Rep system that should make it alot easier.

I was more just worried about the racing aspect.
Like if i touch another car and he gets damage i automatically get a penalty.

I hope it doesn't turn out that way.

Hmm, I meant the download link - the link says the file is 0B in size - the only "link" to download the file is asking me to give my full address to be able to sign up. Whether it's legit or not, no thanks :P

EDIT: Ok, i got tree'd - how bout for GT300?

Proposed Schedule

Would you rather have La Sarthe or Nurburgring GP/F?

Any other comments/thoughts?

Masi, what consequences will it have for me, that I am not able to take part in the first race - Autobacs SuperGT ?
- Damn! i was just about to say: "Great that i can participate at the last Suzuka though" 💡,
.... but then -> 22. april is my littlebrothers birthday which mean that I'll be in Paris at that time. :yuck:

I hope it won't mean that i shouldn't be racing in the season at all. It just seems so stupid not to be racing the first and last race.! :ouch:

I will drop points from your worst result from Mixed Class and Same Class races. So i will only count 8 races in total to accommodate absence.

So, since your missing race 1. That will count as a drop.

Updated with colorful flags :D lol

In my opinion, Indy Road instead of Daytona Road. Le Mans instead of Nurburgring GP/D.

Please disclose important information about incidents along with your report.
  • Lap when incident occured
  • How long did incident occur (approx.)
  • How many were involved
  • Who was/were involved

I think time of incident should be included in the report, as well.

@ Centura - great suggestion 👍

I'd rather have La Sarthe instead of Nurburgring GP/F
And Nurburgring GP/F instead of GP/D. :P

I put GP/D as it is a shorter track and will be great for a mixed class race.

GP/F is much longer and will suit same class racing.

EDIT: Will close thread once i get the GT300 results.

Masi i just thougth about the point system because it would be really nice if it only was 8 or 9 rounds of the championship you got point for to compensate for missed races. if it already is in the point system im sorry.

sorry for bad grammar very tired

It took me some time to understand it, but i managed to do it so.
But that sounds great 👍 then i just hope nothing will get in my way for the 8 others! :scared:

By the way, i encourage everyone to make driver profiles as it will make its way to the official website :)

Is it allowed to ask why they got penalty/DQ'ed?

My penalties were legit but a little harsh in my opinion. I misjudged the entrance to the pits on both my stops. i hit the gravel trap on the right once because of damage to my steering and once because my pedals moved on me and i couldnt get on the brakes fast enough. I found out later that i slid past Nycrom on the first one (If i had known i would have given the position back...sorry about that Nycrom)

Owens...you hadnt pulled besides me on the straight and I tried to leave you room, but once we get to Indianoplis I had to get back on the racing line so i didnt lose the car into the wall. If you wait through that right-left-right section...then you can pass on the next straight. Paginas and i did this cleanly numerous times. Follow each other and then draft once on a straight.

man, Nils....what got you DQed

Penaltys:

NilsUrban - DQ'd because of major violation against the rules and guidlines regarding track contact. It was obvious, noumerous, intentionall, and way of limits. Nothing that we can accept in this championship.

faqoldshool - 30 seconds. Aggressive driving/cutting corners to gain time (10 sec). Overtaking thru aggressive driving/cutting and not give the spot back (10 sec).
Aggressive driving/cutting corners to gain time (10 sec).

Vagabone - 35 seconds. Braking the gentlemens rule by pulling back out on track after an off without care for cars on the track (10 seconds).
25 seconds for causing damage, while braking the gentlemens rule. (the minimum penalty for causing damage is actually 40 seconds, but the penalty was reduced, because we (the stewards) are not completely done with some details around this rule, but a 25 second penalty was something that we all could agree on as for now)

Sorry to correct you here. I know English isn't your first language. He was penalised for track cutting, not contact with other drivers.
