Well Nürb is my final Race this Season => congrats to probably snow on the Title 👍

Not counting anyone out yet Sakery. Snow has the pace but still one heck of a load off miles left. PT's look competitive, but I reckon I can get a top 3 finish still.

I'm also going to go for a top 3 finish. Why you all laughing?

I'm looking forward to it. I hope the fire alarms don't ruin my race again, which is what happened tonight!

Nurburgring 24hr Course.
16 Laps / 252.1 Miles

Eiger last week was a twisty, narrow, physically gruelling race, but was short with 65 second laps and 75 laps. This like Eiger, on steroids. For a Prototype driver 8 and a half minute laps and only 16 of them. We are talking about of course, the Nurburgring Nordschleife,\returning after a 3 season absence with a vengeance.

A Nurburgring Hot Lap:
This is gonna be a long one. The green flag flies on the Grand Prix track, a twisting doble hairpin / chicane catches your attention as the tracks winds its way downhill to a banked hairpin, then through Schumacher S and a right / left taking you on a straight with a chicane, and a sharp left that marks the beginning of the Nordschleife via Hatzenbach.

The opening 2km of the Nordschleife are not too taxing, a couple fairly gentle left and right handers leading up to Flugpatz, where PT's will be 4 wheels off the track. Downforce helps the big cars here on the run to Aremberg, 150mph on the left hander before and then darting down the gears for the right hander. Then the left handers going sharply uphill through the Fuchsrohre (Fox-Hole), with huge kerbs by the side of the road. It is a real rollercoaster ride, and in the morning the sun often comes up and blinds a driver's vision.

Adenauer-Forst is a tricky right-left combo leading us to Metzgesfeld, which takes into the narrow section of slow turns from Kallenhard, through the tricky hairpin of Wehrseifen, before climbing the Ex-Muhle to Bergwerk. Bergwerk sets you off on a long straight incorporating the high speed Kesslchen and Klostertal corners. In the night it is terrifying, as the outside kerbs get closer and closer with your car reacting to the bumps. A mistake here is going to be an enormous accident.

You arrive with a head of steam and spectator encampments coming into view at a right hander which leads you onto the notorious banked Karussell. Very easy to spin here, despite the low speed. Uphill again, into Wipperman before we begin the most challenging sequence of turns on the entire track with the Steilstrecke.

The track map doesn't show the true nature of the section of the track, which from Hoche Act onwards is an up down and rollercoaster of sweeping and tightening rights and lefts. It's truly a make or break section of the lap, with twists and turns everywhere. A wheel on the grass and a spin and crash is going to happen, and that is so easy to do in this section.

Aftwerwards it's through Pflanzgarten, round Schwalbenschwanz's mini Karussell and round the Dottinger Hohe onto the Antoniusbuche straight. The track map doesn't show the crazy final section after the Tiergarten kink, approaching at 200mph, the road drops away and you are quite literally hanging the car out through the braking zone into the final chicane across the line.

Furi's Race Control Statement To Drivers:
I should be in my lobby for 6pm, an hour earlier than usual. Quali for ALL classes is at 6.30pm to 7.55pm, with a few minutes to let people finish there laps. Quali will be in daytime, track will be reset with correct time settings for the race.

PT pace speed is 50mph (80kph), GT pace speed 40mph (64kph). It is single file until this point on the GP track after Schumacher S. After this point you may begin to form up double file, with odd's on the left, even's on the right.

Green flag is when your class leader passes this gantry hanging over the GP track backstretch.

PT drivers - it is a long race and long track, when you do get a GT car, don't go for the first available gap. GT drivers, hold your lines and listen for any communication from upcoming PT drivers.

Best of luck to all, just please clear cache before we begin ;)

:gtpflag:

If it rains a GT car might win overall. Also will employ a 3hr cut off if it drags on.

Room open now for free practise. Quali commences 6.25 for ALL classes.

I'll pass on this race. I'm around, but I just don't want to do Nurburgring in the Alpine. I'll be back on track at Le Mans.

I will join in a few minutes

OK8
If you're struggling to find pace, I can share my setup with you (it's not very good though). Just PM me.

Thanks for the offer man, I think I have a decent one :D

Currently parked with around 25 minutes left after 6 major accidents dropped me 8 minutes. Joe en route to the win. Alpine winning GT.

Even as a vegetarian, yes. Yet somehow I predict Le Mans will surpass it.
