Ok, I'm officially in trouble. The Vette is about 10km/h slower than that, which means a whopping loss of 3 seconds on the Hunaudières alone. :scared:

Then again, I knew Le Mans would be a challenge picking the car...

Don't think the Lancia is that good down the straights, it has the advantage coming out of the corner due to it weighing very little but by the end of the straight it's a bit slower. But it will gain an advantage due to the fact it consumes a lot less fuel than some of the American cars

Le Mans was always a Corvette weak point on speed, BUT compared to the Shelby it has better fuel consumption.

What's quicker on the straight? Alpine or Vette?

Also changes may be made following the friday test, so please make an effort to be there.

I can squeeze 161Mph out of the Corvette.

Now remember Furi what we spoke about concerning guest drivers.

Don't see anything wrong with current state of affairs Fox. Entry list is clear and regulars get top priority. OK8 is only doing Le Mans this season, we got two reserves for Le Mans, jamsys internet is dodgy. Akmuq returns at Pescara and so does Lancer if room, and lets not forget Sak is done now and Plux might be leaving us.

Phew, keep up! :dopey:

Yep. That's its top speed. Playing with transmission doesn't really change anything. You can just set it so you'll have a couple of rpm's left before the red line in case you get a tow.

I'll just set my goal to be consistent as hell, try to make up some time through the Porsche curves, not to damage the car and drive its fuel tank empty every time. Consistency will win you some points here, I'm sure of it.

Gonna jump on and run some laps now, I'l let you guys know what speeds I'm getting. May as well say now that I won't be able to make the test on friday.

I'm hitting around 169-170 mph at the end of the Mulsanne.

Best lap so far is a 4:22.595

Sounds about right 👍

Oh my. That's 4+ seconds we get handed on the Hunaudières. Like Fox said, we're hitting a brick wall at 258km/h (160/161 mph). :ill:

Nürburgring turned out quite disastrous for me. My setup for the Ferrari was incredibly twitchy, but it showed such good pace I didn't dare change it. I questioned whether or not I could run it for 3 hours without a mistake, but I figured it'd be doable. When it started to rain, I wasn't nervous, but when I made my first stop I accidentally chose Racing Rains for the rears but Sports Soft for the fronts which allowed Joe to pass me.

After pitting for proper tyres I was 40 seconds behind. I managed to shave off 20 seconds while the road was still relatively dry, but when it came dark and surface water reached 100%, trying to push to catch Joe became incredibly difficult and I crashed several times.

After two unneccessary pitstops I was more than a minute behind and pushing like mad, when I completely lost the car at full chat going round Kesselchen. In my attempts to save it, my make-shift table shook so much it knocked a pint of water off the edge which shattered spectacularily. I got up to clean it while swearing profusely when suddenly I found myself in a completely dark and silent room. Knowing the imminent power outage would've ended my race anyway made defeat slighly easier to swallow, but there's certainly important lessons to learn here.

Congratulations to anyone who survived such a brutal race and especially to Joe for beating me where I truly thought I was at my strongest.

The gloves come off at Le Mans.

Everyone wrecked in last 20 minutes though, Joe crashed heavily, and Plux and Orama lost tyres...

Nurb was definitely my best win, can't say I enjoyed it all though. 100% rain at night isn't my idea of fun.

Oh and snow, if I even get ahead you and fox, you should easily be able to keep up with draft. The corvettes seem to corner well too.

Yes if we leave something in reserve and make no mistakes then the Corvette's should be OK behind other cars. And you're right Lout. the Vette is not too bad in the corners.

I'm just worried about the 3 hours+ that its going to take :boggled:

Don't forget BOP WILL be re assessed come end of test night.

Also there will be a practise standing start and the race itself will go green approx 7.45pm.

Will there be at least one practice race on Friday?

Corvette may need BOP increasing slightly but not by a lot. It's just not a quick car in a straight line.

It monsters turns. I don't see a reason for the Vette being boosted, the others need tweaking more. Alpine is the rabbit in the hat. 2 Cobra's out there as well.

Cobra may need a slight boost but nothing else then.

I'll make the test so that there's a Lancia there to help the BOP updates unless it's full and someone who will to race on Sunday to test

I won't be at the test night, I have a plane (or boat and train) to catch early on Saturday morning

Wait, there is a standing start? That will seriously pose a problem for my gearing settings. Might as well do a Jacky Ickx and start in last intentionally. For the one time I'd need a short 1st, it probably doesn't make sense to change it.

Did a 4:24.7 as best. There's not much more in there for me though. That was qualifying pace, not endurance.

I'd forgotten about the standing start too. Will have to mess with 1st and 2nd a bit.
