By the way, remember the incident treatment procedure explained in the first post of this thread.

1) first look at the replay
2) in case of an incident between you and another driver, first contact the other driver.
3) If necessary, PM the host who will take a decision, if necessary together with the stewards commission.
4) important: never publicly accuse another driver.

Here we go again...

I know you will find it hard to believe; but that was not directed toward you, or your post. It was in reference to the beginning of a new season. The world does not revolve around you.

Well I wasn't going to bring it up but since you raised your hand with that very mature and enlightening comment...Just so everyone knows, boshuter tried to run a GT300 series outside GTP a while ago and did a poor job managing it...he didn't state any rules, allowed some drivers to get away with dirty driving including rear-ending and chicane cutting, had double standards for identical infractions and it spoiled the whole series for the rest of us clean drivers. By the end of the series some drivers were intentionally aiming to take me out, it was pathetic.

That's exactly what I want to avoid which is why I'm asking about the penalty system. Establishing it upfront helps a great deal as prevention. When it's advertised that a given infraction will incur a 30sec penalty and the rule is enforced, people just won't do it. This approach has worked really well in WSGTC, NASGTC and FIAGT1, all of which I participate in and continue to enjoy here on GTP.

The pre-season race went really well, can't wait for a fun&clean inaugural race 👍

As far as this personal attack; I won't dignify it with a response. I have a grandson about your age and when he acts like this, I just ignore him and hope he grows out of it. You are a very good driver and for the most part you race very clean, it's just a shame you can't just have fun and rely on the maturity of the other racers to have a clean, enjoyable race.

please guys, if you have something to say to each other please do it in PM privately :)

let's cool things down... and enjoy this new championship with fairplay ;)

speaking of which... I think I will open the online room for testing at 6pm UTC (London)/7pm MET (Rome)/1pm EST (New York)

Just arrived home from Germany. Not sure I will be able to participate in both races this evening, because I have to leave again when my son arrives at the other side of the town with the team bus. If I'm not there in time, don't wait for me.

@GT5-Fan: Club invite sent

@everybody: please guys, let's avoid public attacks. We always had a good atmosphere, let's keep it like that.

In order to keep informed of all changes and practical information,
please follow on the forum the information updates and recent news of the races you signed-up for,

This message is due to some misunderstandings yesterday on the RM race.

thanks a lot for posting results teeds, I managed to shoot a photo of them too ;)
tomorrow I will update the first page with standings and results of tonight races.

I'M SO SORRY FOR MY CONNECTION PROBLEMS TONIGHT
next week turbogeit will be the server and lounge

tomorrow my friend allascato will bring to me the replay files of the races so in the weekend I'll be able to shoot some pictures

Having looked at the replay, I have the impression the lag problem was there especially when there were too many cars in the same part of the track, meaning right after the start of the race.

We are trying a rolling start in the Corvette GT2 series, in order to avoid qualifying problems (wrong grid problem), perhaps that may also avoid some problems with lag and lap 1 car incidents.

By the way, Gprili, did you miss three times the variante Ascari in lap 1 to 5, or is that also a lag phenomenon? On my replay, you go into the sand, but then each time, you come out the sand as a rocket and the incident doesn't make you loose any time. Very strange.

There were some lag issues in both races for sure.

In the GT300 race gprili's car was standing in the middle of the track just before the esses. Never seen anything like this before, obviously some bug. I also got lag a few corners later where I beached it for all to see as my car suddenly jerked forward. After that when gprili disconnected I had no more lag issues.

In the GT500 race the starting order was all messed up. I should've started 2nd behind teeds but was 6th on the grid or so, others were also in the wrong position on the grid. When the race started someone's car same flying from behind at what looked like 500mph and gave me instant engine damage. I managed to stay on the road and after that I had no problems.

Networking problems aside both races were fun and fair from what I saw, in GT300 I had to work hard to make up lost time but messed up a couple of times just when I had 2nd place in sight :banghead:. Congrats to teeds and Calum, they had both speed and consistency.

In GT500 I had some good battles with Badger-X early and then after the pitstops teeds caught up with me while we were lapping traffic and then we had fascinating non-stop battles for the lead to the very end! Got the tow out of the last corner and squeezed out a win by 0.0068 sec :)

I did not miss the variante Ascari. The problem was my connection. I had very bad lag and I'm sorry of it. I think the game tries to interpolate your position when do not undertand where you are and of course does it wrong. It seems that I was on the sand and a second later I'm on track again. That's what happend also with XavierFWD in the night lemans race. From the moment I got disconnected just before the start of the GT300 hell has begun for me. I was not able to reconnect back to the room. I tried may times. And when I did it lag problems started.

Hope that with you server turbo this won't happen again.

In the GT300 I got a black screen before the starting grid. I never saw the starting grid :grumpy:

so sorry for the lag issues and for allascato that told me to have bumped into my stopped car on the grid

Before the PSN outage, such huge lag or connection problems happened about once in a month. I remember a Group N endurance we had to postpone to the next week because of that. Lap 1 was a mess, mainly because of the lag problem. I got bumped out twice before the variante Ascari, first time was a normal race incident and I won't blame the one who did it, such things just happen. Second time, at the exit of Lesmo 2, gippone hit me with a speed that could indeed have been 500 MPH. There was indeed a big lap problem. Nevertheless, it was not that what ruined my race, but the completely impossible behavior of that Castrol Toyota. With a good behaving car, I could have come back to 4th of 5th position, but this car is such understeering...

Good news is that the lag problems did not prevent most of us from having fun.

My philosophy is: remember the good things, forget the bad ones.

Here is the video from the pre-season race.

The videos of the GT300 will come every Monday / Tuesday.Any suggestions are welcome ;).

Since we had problems in the last GT500 race and since some members asked me if they can change the GT500 car because they didn't had time to practice,

I decided to agree with that. You can do it only before the beginning of race 2 and only for the GT500

So, if you want to change the GT500 car, please state it before june 9th :)

Thanks Joao71, the video is also in the main thread!! 👍

This was the starting grid for the GT500, seems to have been lucky dip this time lol

GT550_Grid.jpg

I spent the first few laps getting through the pack then started chasing Atlas. Took about 15 more laps to catch him bit by bit in the corners which was fun. We then battled for a few laps but it seemed to stop on the last lap and I was followed until the last corner.
