I think it is even more exciting with 200-400 hp cars with which you don't have the uphill slowing down effect like with the spitfire and which keep better on the road. I did some laps with a Civic in Group N configuration (246 HP - 1200 kg) and it felt very good.

Yeah once you get up around 250hp, the come on section isn't quite as terrible. The fastest car I tested on Mount TopMore was probably the stock M3 Coupe that I used to test it in the Course Maker. Otherwise, I've only run 200hp or less cars on it so far.
But I think even in a fast car, taking "slow-maker turn" badly, can slow you down no matter what car you're in.

I really hope there's some interest in course creator tracks, because I think it's fun. Even though I'm positively terrible with them!!! (I seem to do better on Mt Aso tracks though, compared to Toscana - particularly after darkness!!)

Time Trial News

Background
Time Attack (alternatively known as Super Lap or Tuner Battles) originated in Japan when the tuning media organized the event on race circuits such as Tsukuba Circuit, as a proving ground for street tuned cars built at a large budget by highly respected tuning companies. As a result of the quick rise in popularity, tuners developed cars especially to use to beat the competition, including the purpose built HKS CT230R Lancer Evolution, with its body made entirely out of carbon fiber. The Lancer Evo is the OEM chassis Time Attack record holder, 53.589, at Tsukuba which it still holds to this day.

Car of the month
This months car is the Mines´s BNR34 GT-R N1 base , a tuner version from famed japanese tunerhouse Mine´s Motor Sport of the Nissan Skyline BNR34 GT-R. The car has set a Superlap time of 0:57.746 at Tsukuba, and we are racing it as close to specs as possible. This car can be bought at the dealership.
Horsepower 600ps, or max. 592 hp, torque at 60kgm/5400rpm.

Being away the biggest part of the weekend and not having access at internet from now to monday evening, I have not been able to update all WSCC-pages this time.

Short news flash

- We have now 80 members (+ a certain number of active members who forgot to accept their club invitation). djdaveyp85 is our number 80. Welcome davey! Not bad for a club that was dying before PSN-outage with only about 10-12 active members left and championships that ended with races between 3-4 cars. Actually, we are in the top 3 of the biggest racing clubs on GTP. Thanks to you all guys.

- I had the privilege to have a great battle with our new 80th member (recommended by teeds!) today in the Golf RM. Really enjoyed it.

- GTRedline proposes next sunday a great single event: RS33-RS34. I hate to say I can't be there because of family business, but I hope many of you will be there.

- Our questionnaire: still not enough answers. If I find the time this weekend, I will send PM's to remind people that we need their opinion.

- Holidays: I will be away from July 12th until July 23th. I will be able to follow WSCC-live on GTP (hotel with WIFI), but not to participate in races or to host them. Enjoy them in my place!

Sounds like a great racing series. Sorry I just heard about it now. Are you still excepting drivers? If so, I would love to join in.

Agroracer10, sj6071 and mlc3, welcome to the club, turbogeit is in charge of issuing membership invitations and he is on vacation right now, so you will be signed up as soon as he returns.

Yes, I think turbogeit is due to return soon. And I know that I have heard of many planned races in the works for next month & beyond. I heard there might be a 2-speed race going to happen! (And hopefully the ones I'm interested in won't happen during MY vacations. ;) )

Thanks guys! Looking forward to some good clean racing with GT5 on WSCC. I may need a little direction on getting logged into the right site once we get going. I've only done open online racing before along with iracing on the pc.

TSUKUBA SUPERLAP TIME TRIAL UPDATE:!

New car of the month

After racing the supertuner trilogy, HKS, Mine's and Amuse,
this month is going to feature a tribute to japanese Z33 chassis vehicles.

2 new rules are being brought in play:

1) You can use any of the road cars built on the Z33 chassis in the game (excluding the race cars, like the Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car or Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z (SUPER GT) '06 ..!)
You can choose from:

Nissan 350Z (Z33, EU or US) '03 (Top Gear Magazines Car of The Year 2004!)
Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo 4 Limited Edition (Z33) '05
Nissan 350Z Roadster (Z33, EU or US) '03
NISMO Fairlady Z S-tune concept by GRANTURISMO (Z33) '02
NISMO Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) '03
Infinty G35 (the name for the Skyline V35, when sold in North America)

Use one, or as many as you want!

2) You can add parts and tune the cars as you please, the only restriction this month is regarding the tyrechoice, as always: max. sports soft.
