I'll add the two PGRs, Forza Horizon 1, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on my XB1! And with that new Elite controller, Forza 6 will be stupendous. Can't wait to get my hands on it, I think I'll get it on my birthday (October 5).

Must get Mortal Kombat X as well.
Oh yeah there are quite a few 360 games I will be bringing over for sure. Just need to find out if we can digitally download them or if we have to use the disc. Anyone know?

They couldn't have chosen a better city :D

Amazing choice!

I wonder how close to reality Rio track will look like. Lets hope it is not just another generic track with Sugarloaf and christ statue on the background.

Access to your digital libraries where confirmed somewhere, or atleast I could have sworn.

As far as I know you download the games. Since you bought them beforehand on the 360 you download them free.

I read 100 titles at launch.

So far we don't know a lot. We just know that if you already have the game on your 360 you don't need to pay to get the game on the Xbox One.

This is more like what I expected from a "next gen" Forza back in 2013. 👍
Honestly, this is how I was expecting it to go down when Forza 5 came out. Even then I said the next one would be better because they still need to learn to fish out the performance of the machine.

And I'm so, so glad to see they've done it.

If you own the disc you can install it to the X1.

Just what I wanted to hear! Project Gotham Racing 4, Forza Horizon 1 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on Xbox One here I come! :D

...Oh, and Ridge Racer 6 as well!

Whilst it looks pretty much the same as Forza 5, I am very interested in trying out the weather and night racing, I had a lot of fun racing in the rain in Forza Horizon 2 and I bet the effects are even better at this point.

Weather and time of day is not dynamic and is limited to certain tracks.

Eurogamer
Turn 10 is also introducing night racing and wet weather, though there's a catch - both features will not be dynamic, with event conditions set in place and unwavering. Also, wet weather and night racing will only feature on a selection of tracks - those which are considered a reasonable fit for such conditions (so expect a sodden Silverstone as well as racing by night at Daytona and Le Mans). The wet races will also feature '3D puddles' - simulations of standing water that factor in elements such as the porousness of any given surface.

Forza Horizon 2 introduced dynamic weather and time of day, although a Turn 10 representative pointed out that Playground Games' open world sequel was running at 1080p and 30fps, whereas Forza Motorsport 6 will be running at the mainline series' standard 60fps while maintaining that 1080p resolution.

Well this is about what I expected. Knew it was too good to be true. Oh well its at least a start and very similar to what GT has. Having a few tracks with weather night is better than nothing for sure. I will be shocked if Forza ever has dynamic night weather racing. I just don't see it happening.

Can a mod delete the information in post #194?? It seems is was false misleading information?

This was just posted on the GTplanet news.

Notably, Forza 6 is set to include pre-set weather effects, more than 26 different “destinations”, over 450 cars, and online multiplayer support for up to 24 simultaneous players. A September 15th release date was also announced.

As I assumed earlier then. Not the least surprised by this given their obsession with rock-solid performance. Compromises had to be made.

Not bothered by it. Even GT had to start down this route of just certain tracks having night & wet weather options.
Two console generations ago...?

Not fussed by the static weather at all... matches the static lighting amirite?

hahah

but seriously, baby steps... they went from nothing to weather AND night racing. Leave something on the table for Forza 7. Gonna be a long generation.

I'm also of the opinion that so far, dynamic weather and night has been a gimmick that Sony have wasted on 24 minutes of crap anyway. I wouldnt expect Microsoft to exploit it properly. I mean who has done it properly?

Anyway, Sept 1, its a must have.

If only for this:

I'm also gonna add that it only works on certain tracks... you know the two... Ring and Le Mans... also maybe Suzuka, Montreal?

You cant expect 24 mins of Tsukuba unless they wanna screw with your sensibilities...

I would have found static conditions excusable if they were available on every track, but limiting it to certain tracks is pretty sad.

HD Graphics: Holding Games Back Since 2005.
