- I've added a bit more power, to aid drifting in 3rd gear (Stock tranny). Seem to have dialled out most of the snapback (at least for my n00b style), and improved turn-in slightly.
Started trying to drift the other day, and with the aid of this site, can now drift all of the long RH tunnel on GVS with this setup (most of the time!).

How's it ride? It rides pretty awesome. With the 1-way, I can drift with the nose riding all the way around the apex of most hairpins using no countersteer until the end. It does require a little finer control of the throttle than some... My opinion is that the 1-way is like the e-brake on speed but totally manageable. With the Full Custom LSD, it is a little more straight forward and a little looser

I would suggest NA for the greater torque presence...

Description: Definatly different from a RWD. Car will drift with minimal, if no, e-brake usage. Quite easy to have too much power, which is why mine is tuned to only 275hp. Best I've managed is a 1'10.2 at tsukuba, compared to my 249hp Toyota Corolla Trueno 1'04.1. Very fun to drift, slight learning curve...

Little description of handling characteristics: This is more of a "for fun" drifter than a serious one. Its kind of slow getting the tail out but works quite well. I was surprized. I new at this but no one had one for the lightning so i figured i put one up.

Ok, I have a question. I have tried many of these settings and most do not work for me, any idea why?

try making a skyline and put all the tq towards the back and none in the front then set your under steer up towards 8
and go from there on your tires and all power

-Gearing: Whatever you think works best with that car.
-Power: Anywhere between 250-400. But if you wanna, use what you want.
-Suspension Settings:
Spr. Rates F/7.0 R/6.0
Ride Height: F+R/Not too high, not too low. Give the suspension some kind of travel room.
Shock Bound: F/5 R/6
Shock Rebound: F/7 R/7
Camber: F/2.5 R/1.5
Toe: Both at 0.
Stabs: F/4 R/5

-All Aids Off

Downforce (If applicable): F/0 R/3
If you don't like it, turn it down. But I find the rear downforce kinda helps control the maximum slide you encounter, if you don't whip it too hard. But don't take my word for it, lol.

These settings are meant to be completely flexible. Some may find it stiff at first, but it's nothing too hard to fix

If you can find the sweetspot for power in your car, the only thing you really need to change is spring rates and stabilizers.

Handling
This setup, IMO, is good for beginners who are a little bit to aggressive.
These settings, for me, are forgiving to those who are very aggressive into the corners, as it allows you, again IMO, to adjust mid drift to any mistakes.

Overall, its a nice setup, everyone should try it.

Little description of handling characteristics:
Its smooth, dont expect to go corners with a lot of angle unless you adjust the rebounds. This IS a speed drift setup after all. Yes if you can't feint or you brake for too long, you'll lose your opportunity to oversteer and make a skid. If you brake during the turn, the drift is lost and understeer wins over. If your experience is crappier than mine then sometimes E-Brake will help.

It's definetly for an AWD, :)

and what's ASM on? specify next time, even though i know its for understeer. not surprised giving the fact its and AWD.

and what's a sway bar? its not a rollcage if you already stated "incread rigidity"

Not to be aggressive but this setup i can tell isn't really a drift setup.. as you have stated lift-off, meaning you let off the gas.. You're pretty much Yawwing from the 9 understeer.. I have tried it, i played with Aids on my AWDs long enough to know what your intentions are.

My guess is that its a Lancer, Impreza, Skyline or anything that can be a Ricer car, I say this becasue the ID IS "going sidewayz" meaning he/she's probably watched Tokyo Drift

Again, another improper drift setup, 20 understeer. Obvious it'll "drift" well, ASM is doing everything for you.. becasue the setting is strong, obviously it'll be easy because it slow you down immediately when you steer just a tiny bit
