FITT Tuner Car Shootout

Ended up with control of an online room. Plan to be on for another hour, maybe. Liking my cars. These tuner cars are very competitive in online rooms.

Room 1472-6399-8580-0415-5975
575PP Racing Soft right now.

Selected vote for track and of course Nurburgring was selected. I hate the ring and it appears that so did most other. Room died.

I've put an R1 and a Mine's Evo on share if anybody fancies a gander for me. More interested in opinions of the Evo, as this will be my likely entry. Could do with some suggestions regarding transmission settings, as i've no idea how to set one up! Cheers in advance.

@Biffa I gave the Evo a go and found the rear acceleration sensitivity (I used double the value it was set at) could be increased. I also tried increasing 4-5th gears by a few mph with no effect on the straight line speed.

I've been playing around with a few of these cars so you might as well put me down as a 490pp tuner. I can test for the 575pp class if needed.

Cheers for taking a look Theo, i'll have a play with the LSD.

Enjoy

Car is on share and FR's sent to testers.

Looks like I'm going to have to withdraw my entry, Hami. I haven't touched my PS3 since the event started and it doesn't look like I will have time to fine tune the car before the deadline. Maybe next time. Might still be able to test, but I will let you know.

biffa - That looks like a contender for your first tune. Can't wait to drive it. Nice work and thanks for entering.

You still have until this Sunday night to enter a tune. Let us know if you get motivated over the weekend and have one ready.

It's not as quick as the R1 unfortunately, but wanted to enter something different. There's a few R1's already! Your guides were very helpful, and you'll spot I took a leaf from your RS4!

The R1 is a bit of an overdog. Three of us have selected it, Johnny P, Robrabbit and me. Have the two of you already finished tuning? Put another way, do you have other cars also developed that you would be willing to enter. I don't want this to be a one car show. Can I ban the Amuse S2000 R1 from the 490PP class.

I would enter one of my backup cars like the Mugen S2000, Spoon S2000 or the Amuse S2000 street version.

Johnny, Rob - would you be ok with banning the R1?

It is a good car though, and whilst it is quicker, not sure it's that much quicker than the rest. I found only 0.3 ish difference between my R1 and my Evo. Would be a shame to take away a great handling car. Just my opinion.

My R1 is faster than anything else that I tested. Guess I should check by how much. It has built in aero and most of the other cars don't. Maybe give it a small penalty, like 475PP?

Just checked and robrabbit has already submitted his R1. I will send a PM. Maybe I should just make the Amuse R1 it's own class and open it up to everyone.

Amuse S2000 R1 on sport hard at 500PP?

Have started testing the submitted tunes so far, a head's up for testers, xande's Ruf comes equipped with racing tyres, you'll have to change them to sports hard's.

TUNER NOTES -
This Ruf Sand Paper is a interesting drive. I hope the testers enjoy.

*While taking photos of the cars, and sending me the tune, Kate reset the LSD. The 10/14/15 is a guess, and may change before the deadline. :dopey:

Just got around to getting updated on the thread, and I don't mind banning the R1 and choosing another car. There are plenty of other fine tuner cars at 490 that I wouldn't mind choosing instead.

Thanks rabbit.

Is everyone else o.k. with this decision to pull the Amuse S2000 R1 out of the 490PP class? I think it is a complete overdog. I like the idea of just making a third, mini-class just for the Amuse S2000 R1. Everyone interested can submit a tune for this car if they wish. Waiting to hear back from Johnny P and the rest of you before making this change final.

Also, tunes are due this Sunday at Midnight, whenever Midnight hits for you. Lot's of tune still to be posted.

Doesn't matter to me. I haven't been following the thread and I'm having a hard time even firing up GT5 these days. I picked the R1 because I'd already had a go at it from several angles and thought it would be easy. Carry on...:)

Can I ask what times everybody is driving?
I'm currently in the 1:02s, which feels quite slow.

575pp class btw.

Ah…I've not been on GT5 for a few days, gotta get back to tuning. MCH, I'll say this now, but since I'm not actually allowed on the PS3, I can't get the tune posted on the weekend, so I'll share the car tomorrow and post the tune ASAP, or the other way round, whichever I can do the quickest.

And that also means, I'm in for the 575PP, not the 490PP. No time for two things with exams, mang. :grumpy:

We have really cool tuners involved in FITT. Thanks for the understanding robrabbit and Johnny P. I have pulled the Amuse S2000 R1 from the 490 PP class. My R1 tune is 1.5+ seconds a lap faster against my efforts in the Mugen, Spoon and Amuse street version. I think this will be a much more competitive 490PP class.

As for the Amuse S2000 R1, we can still have fun with this car. I opened a bonus class. Anyone wanting to tune an R1, please do so by end of day, Sunday, May 12.

Do we really drive GVS East (normal) in the 490pp class and GVS East Reverse in the 575pp class? Once cw, once ccw?
