Good practice. I rushed to try Birdy's* tune (thanks Tex) and didn't get the brakes changed to "race brakes". Maybe that explains that dive bomb move at turn 2 on lap 2.

*Jake's: but don't blame him if I'm still slow tonight. I got 99 excuses but the tune aint one.

Did you find any more speed throughout the night birdie? My tune is working for me but im a ds3 guy so its a little different than what would be ideal with a wheel and pedals im sure.

I thought u were using wheel, nice consistent pace with ds3 Whitney.

I've tried a few things, got a nicer turn in but stayed the same for Lt's. All in all it's a great tune whitey, thanks!

Great racing last night everyone! One of the closest races I've been involved in with in GT1.

@TEX36 Especially enjoyed racing you last night, the pass I had to throw on you into turn one was so much fun! Thanks for not trying to block it or I would have eaten grass! ( no I wasn't sure if I would stop before the entry :) )
 
Great race ! Season 15 looks to be close. Here is a shout out to Scorpion in the M5. That big wing is hilarious! Letz compare tunes soon.

I notice how the Merc's and Vette's pull away from me in my meager 580 hp M5. I have to let the two rottweilers out next time. LOL.

Help please! When I watch MY replay's I can see what MY tires are doing, like tread wear, temp color, smoke, skid marks etc... But. I CAN NOT see what others are doing as far as SMOKE and skid marks. Is that info not provided in a replay or am I the only drive that SMOKES the tires and gets them RED hot? I have the same amount of tread wear and turning behavior as most. Who know what is going on here?
 
That happens for everyone unfortunately cause i also leave skid marks every once in a while but i see no one else do it unless its like a big spin

It's the game, we talked about this in D3 a few weeks ago. The game only keeps on track your tire marks for your screen we all have the same tire wear. Same as if you leave to much rubber it starts to disappear kind of like the bodies in a shooter:) you won't beat us off the line however I have almost 900 FT/lbs of torqs :) I could download my replays for you if you want (I really don't want to though.)

We are however all in the same boat when it comes to tires and red zoning and stuff.
 
Sounds like fun, unfortunately, real life reared its ugly head and I ended up on the wrong end of a honey do list. No race next week or has that been pushed back a week? No tuning during the summer break?

Sorry to hear that JC.

Yes we are off next week for KG's family get together.

However,
I'll have a room open next week for test and tune on both Tuesday and Wednesday. This ain't F1 we always tune lol got to try and catch that SLS (until next season when it gets a hit in the HP lol)

kg is just showing is strength:)
 
War, Xrad and Kg are legitimately the fastest drivers in GT-1 so its good to see them up front. Kg had a rough season in that Mustang. Had to feel good to win and do it by 8 seconds over a hard charging scorp and the legend himself war. Wish i could have done better but i have not figured out how to manage my tires. Was limping around and just trying to make it to my prescribed pit times most the race without having a major off. Its a helpless feeling knowing i have no ability to fight with anyone who catches me, just have to let them by and hope they have fuel issues.
 
Don't sweat it. The SLS is just a superior car, the aero package, transmission, and engine package just put it in a league of it's own. According to my tests it should be at 580. I went back to GV and ran a 1:45.989 in the SLS. With this BOP the vette's and Vipers will suffer on the long run. I don't see Chevrolet getting any wins. I brought all I had and I know the Z06 well. I watched him make many mistakes mainly in turn1 and through water side. That SLS just kept putting the times down while the Z06 blew the tires off. Then RH's where just embarrassing. I let scorp go on the exit of water side. There was no use fighting him it would have cost me more time and I would have been fighting to defend 3rd. So for us Pro drivers it's going to be about points. The split is two much or kg has to much talent for the class. Don't get tied up in thinking we can hang with them. Scorpion was running default and got me on the long haul. Congrats to kg for winning his class though he done a good job and kept it clean when I had the pressure on. My guess is for us Chevy guys Laguna will be worse so get ready for a tough day.

Great FUN! again tonight, didn't find speed but found Race ability!
"note to self, if you spin out!, save it then hold, the brake." till safe to continue! 💡 even if your in the racing line.

Keep practicing, tuning and always try to keep the shinny side up and the rubber side down!:guilty:
