In other words, they don't have to.
Good news: No broken leg as first reported for the injuried Ferrari mechanic. His foot hurts though, and he complains of back pain, but nothing serious.
Yay to that! 👍
A lot of irony going on here. Massa and Sutil in a pit incident and Raikkonen missing a red light.
Firstly, it was Ferrari who was fined and not Massa, and secondly...
In other words, they don't have to.
So stewards can decide, at any moment, not to enforce the rules at all??
Hmm, that explains a lot of things....
Until 2010 of course.
They should use the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit for the European GP, everyone knows that's the best circuit ever made, even if it is a bit too bumpy for an F1 Car.
The stewards probably didn't want to penalize Massa much after Hungary either.
Cool, well lets hope he can resume his job at the next GP..... 👍Good news: No broken leg as first reported for the injuried Ferrari mechanic. His foot hurts though, and he complains of back pain, but nothing serious.

but the weather there really could throw off many teams on their strategy.
Spa was very boring last year, hope it isn't the case this time around.
Spa is very much Kimi country. 3 time winner there, twice in a McLaren and last year.
I thought Japan was an interesting race, all due to rain but it still made for an interesting race.
I can see why people say this was a boring race. The drivers were probably playing it safe by not making any risky moves before "breaking in" the new track.
As said, it's just too dirty a track. You could see the dust getting kicked up at pit-stops and marbles have nowhere to go on street tracks.
If you stick on the racing line, no. As the racing line will get progressively cleaner. But once you start going off the racing line things will get quite difficult I imagine.Wouldn't that just make incidents more probable?
