What really grinds my gears is who the hell do they think they are going to get in replacement? What do they expect? Clubs these days are just too trigger happy.

I bet they get someone with more experience in a relegation dogfight in the prem.

Just found out that he was manager of the month for January, thats just 33 day ago!

Moyes..... "and bring Fellaini with you"...... one can dream I suppose :sly:

Adkins and DiCanio are the names in the frame right now...and Di Canio was at the Reading-Villa match saturday...

Benitez is still in a job and has great support from all our fans :dopey:

Agreed, a really passionate man in it for the love of football. Chelsea through and through.

Wondering if Roman will let him leave at the end of the season or sack him with a match left just to make a point.

 Wouldn't put it past him.

Not sure what to think of that decision, 3 years at the club, won the championship last season..but they have been poor lately though and lost a crucail game to Villa at home at the weekend...hmm maybe bad timing as well with only 9 games left?..

Poor sacking, they may end up doing exactly the same as Wolves.

Nah, Moyes would hate Abramovich's over involvement. I would be very surprised if he even considered the job.

It's not Moyes I am most interested in anyway, but it could be a cheaper way of getting Fellaini

42 managerial departures according to BBC news. That should never happen in a season. Where do they expect to replace them? You're just gonna replace a sacked manager with another manager who got sacked somewhere else a few months earlier.

Logic these days.

No further action from FA against Rio Ferdinand for Fernando Torres off-the-ball incident on Sunday.

If Reading do find a manager to take over this week then his first two games will be away to Man United and Arsenal!...timing could not have been any worse!!

Or is it. Was rumoured that the replay from FA Cup would take place this weekend. Would be good for reading. Give them a week extra to find someone.

Anyone know when the replay is yet?

They're yet to schedule a time to the best of my knowledge. I'm predicting next week on Wednesday 20th March.

I havent heard anything about that today and i have been watching Sky sport news most of the day and theres been no mention of it..but ive heard it could be played on Saturday as well..normally replay take place around 9/10 days after the original game, so it would be played either next tuesday or wednesday, but theres and international break next week with world cup qualifiers taking place..so they cant hold it next week....

Well the way I see it is that Chelsea have a European game on Thursday so it can't be played in this midweek, there is a full set of EPL games at the weekend and both teams are already a week behind so the next possible time to play would be midweek the week starting 18th March.

Just found out that the other replay between Blackburn and Millwall is on tomorrow night...

So finding a space in the reminder of the season for the cup replay was never going to be easy..but they have finally done it!...the sixth round replay between Chelsea and Man United will take place on Monday 1st April with a 12.30pm kick off...i think thats easter monday!...

Yep you're correct, easter monday.

So looks like it will be an interesting weekend of football...Man City have a tough away trip to Everton who need to bounce back from theyre bad loss to Wigan in the cup..

United should have no trouble at home to managerless Reading..and theres two crucial relegation battles on sunday, Sunderland-Norwich and Wigan-Newcastle..

Even though United shouldn't have any trouble with Reading, it'll probably a fight for the 3 points yet again. But the best would of course be to run Reading over early, and then keep running them over.

It's proven time after time that when United get's an early 1-2 goal lead, and then fall back to defend, the other team almost always seem to come back.
So, instead of falling back, just keep attacking. But oh well.

Should be an interesting round, and if Everton manages a good result against City, and United beat Reading, we're 13-15 points clear. :)

I wont actually be watching the United game as ill be to busy watching Wales thrash the English tomorrow afternoon...CYMRU AM BYTH!!!!

Aww...

Hopefully I can get off work on time for once, so I can make it home just to kick-off. Working saturdays when football is on? Pfff...

Well, im glad it wasn't the early match or one of the matches starting at 16:00 (GMT+1 yeah).

A loss from City is always welcomed, regardless of United's result. At best, United extends its lead. At worst, the lead stays the same, but there's one fixture less on the calendar.

Everton didn't just hold on when they were down to 10 men, they were still going forward and that got them another goal. Fantastic result for both United and Everton.

This is what i think...because of what happened in the Everton-City game, if/when we beat Reading in a bit i think the title race will be over...15 points will be too much for City...

Ferguson fields a weakend side against Reading.
Anderson and Giggs in CM looks very volunerable.
Buttner and Smalling as fullbacks are also second choice.
I'm worried about that midfield.

2 defeats in a row for Swansea :grumpy:

Interesting the Fergie has made changes...have no idea why, dont have a midweek game i dont think..
