EVERTON 2 - 0 CITY...

Everton scores another goal with 1 man red carded.

Great result for both Everton and United. :dopey:

Just noticed earlier that this game is available for replay on ESPN3. Might have to give it a watch.

Southampton with an impressive 3-1 win against Liverpool.

Both Rooney and Van Persie starts for United, and Young is back.
On paper, United will run Reading over, but you never know.

Hopefully we can get an early lead, and then keep pushing forward. A clean sheet would be nice aswell.

Goooooooooaaaaaaaal Rooney! Great play by Ferdinand, the goal was all his.

EDIT: Anyone can tell me which song it is Man Utd fans at the stadium? They sing it all the time.

So Man City fail to beat a 10 man Everton side, hell they didn't even get on the scoreboard. Good news for United, Spurs and Chelsea fans.

That's the same Everton that got their asses handed to them 3-0 by Wigan, may I remind any City fans. :sly:

Nicely done United 👍 I think that should be the title in the bag now.

Oh and @Lucas, the ones that I heard them singing today were:

We love United
Kicking a blue
He goes by the name of Wayne Rooney
Giggs, Giggs will tear you apart
Football taught by Matt Busby
We shall not be moved

I think I heard a bit of "keep singing 6-1" as well.

Man United need 13 more points from 9 games to guarentee them a 20th league title..

Those last nine games are..

Sunderland (A)
Man City (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Swansea (H)
West Brom (A)

...i think that should be fairly straightforward..

I hope we theoretically win the premiership against Arsenal.

Would be awesome if Chelsea stands guard of honor at Old Trafford. :dopey:

I don't think we need any more points. If we say drew every game left, and that includes City then I don't think they could catch us.

They've already done that for us once back when Jose was manager.

I can't see us losing 5 out of the last 9 games.

But why is the United - City match on a Monday??? Why?!?!?! :grumpy:

I know TV-rights etc, but they could still put it as a late Saturday/Sunday match...

So it was Sunderland 1-1 Norwich earleir...Berbatov has just scored for Fulham against his former club Spurs 1-0 there....and Wigan have just scored v Newcastle 1-0..

..Chelsea 1-0 West Ham..Lampard..

No Premier League this weekend because of the World cup qualifiers...

...everyone is talking about the Mcmanaman tackle on Haidara yesterday, i think it was a definite fed but Halsey didnt see it as there was a Newcastle player right in front of him, Mcmanaman could stil be charged and punished though, Haidara has suspected Knee ligament damage..

That was a a definite straight red but the ref's vision was blocked and he couldn't see the challenge clearly. I wish Haidara all the best with his recovery.

So Michael Owen said on Twitter yesterday that he was going to make a big announcement today and he wasnt wrong, no real surprise i dont think, but he has had a great career..

Also, the FA wont take any action over the Mcmanaman incident on sunday as at least one of the officials saw the incident...and suddenly that means he wont be punished!
