Not surprisingly, Maldonado is involved. Surprisingly, he's the victim. He got swerved into while taking the outside line.

Maldonado is okay, Massa in the hospital for "checks", according to Will Buxton.

Lucky no one was behind Maldonardo, seeing as there was only room for 1 car to pass on the far left that would have been quite nasty if a car hit it.

Chilton kinda squeezed Maldonado looking at the replay, took out him and Bianchi

Shouldn't they really change this rule about tyres under a red flag?

Hamilton just apologized to the merc team for losing positions to the two red bulls. Interesting radio chatter

I know, how dare he race an opponent and get crashed into?

It wasn't cause of Maldonardo's fault.

It was Hamilton's fault.

When ever there is some kind of crash Maldonardo or Hamilton were somehow involved.

Australian commentators blaming Maldonado for putting himself in a bad position...
Apparently they aren't watching the race.

Maldonado was overtaking a novice on the outside on Monaco which is not a smart move.

I do the same thing on the road, If I see a learner driver, I give them room around roundabouts, on ramps or off ramps.

So, as the race stops after two hours, it seems like it will be a bit of processional finish, assuming they fix the barrier in the next 40 mins.

When Perez took a similar barrier in his quali crash a year or two ago, it was a big fix, so bed time for me methinks...

Bad move by Chilton there... defended one way then pulled back onto the line without checking to see which way Pastor had gone.

@Blitz: yeah... edited. I'd seen the Chilton swerve on the first replay, but pressed submit before I finished the thought.

I asked what happened to him...??

The marshals put a neck brace on and NBC was talking about how Massa strained the muscles in his shoulder when he crashed in practice, that's all I know for sure.

That being said, I'm going to guess that he either hurt his shoulder worse or strained his neck as well in today's crash. It is possible though, that absolutely nothing is wrong and Massa is simply at the hospital as a precaution.

ESPNF1.com originally said that Maldonado had hit Chilton, then clarified later on... a long time later, that Chilton had swerved back into him. Formula1.com still hasn't assigned blame.

I'm don't know what they said exactly, but I'm with them on this. It is the responsability of the overtaking car to make sure no accidents happen, and Maldonado could/should have known he was driving into a disappearing gap. Tabac is not a corner that can be taken two wide.
