It looks like Hamilton's holding the Red Bulls up a little, especially at the start when Rosberg managed to get a couple of seconds ahead. Now both the Mercedes are beside each other. Such a tight circuit, good job there wasn't any more damage on the first lap other than the loss of a front wing on VDG's car.

Tactical game. Lewis is turtling up the field to give Nico breathing space.

Maldonado running 1.5 second faster than Mercedes. Lewis and Niko gonna get eaten during pit stop.

I wonder how Mercedes can be that fast during qualification and sucks so much during GP. It's really weird.

Just saying, I am on the RaceFansOnly chat site and a GTP member is seemingly trying to get me banned... I asked for a link (which everyone else has) and I am getting reported ont that site for "AUP violations" and being told comments about "he needs him Premo".

One of you guys here is seriously bored and trolling.

Anyhow, shame for Pic :(.

I once heard the Monaco stewards are actually stewards from different circuits flown in. How utterly amazing if true.

I reckon a 2 stop could win if the front of the field continually run slow.

If leading car's pitstop puts him sixteenth, why don't the midfield try switching strategy by pitting and exiting into fresh air, albeit last place?

I was just wondering who's going to pit first.

It's great to see Mercedes actually doing well in the race now after a brilliant Qualifying. I'm glad they're able to perform during the race now and not just fall back in the order.

My brother just messages me hes watchung the race on NBC and theyre running commercials on split screen. Australia need to follow suit!

Webber being told to maintain the gap to Vettel.
Oh joy.

You're never going to overtake your team-mate on this track, not with the same tires and fuel load, so what's the point of forcing him to drive defensively, wasting his tires, and sitting in his dirty air, wasting your tires even more?

The best thing to do is to maintain a gap, try to conserve your tires better, and jump him in the pits.

Because that sticks them behind the backmarkers... Also, in a race like this, if the front-runners can stretch to a one-stopper, then you'll be out of sync with the rest.

Sjeez. I thought that Dutch television was terrible with the commercial breaks. But the Germans of RTL are even worse. I am close to giving up on F1 if it goes on like this.

You're exactly right, not going to deny that.
However, that's why I don't like Monaco.
There's a huge sense of nostalgia and commercialism, but not much racing.

Not like it once was. I'd support a change in the circuit for a hairpin or something.

Monaco is all tactics and hotlapping... not much racing unless you've got a much better car or even better tires.

Yawn. Baby asleep on my chest. Might as well follow her sensible example...

And saying that, Webber and Kimi gamble by taking the first front-runner stops...
