You know how I feel about this combo right now?

There's a .5xx somewhere but any lower requires being able to slide. I simply can't do it with this car. :grumpy:

Just a quick question but I've noticed in the replays that in Normal View/bumper cam, the speedometer goes up to 320mph and mine is only going up to 160mph.

The replay is in mph, the same as mine, in the digital centre reading but different on the clock with the speedo needles.

Just wondered if anyone knew why this is?

I'm hoping to get another run in tonight, but was just wondering if there's anyway to turn all HUD's off, and just keep the speedo? I don't even want to see my sector times as I always go to pieces if I know I'm doing way better than my previous best. I just want to do a 10-15 lap stint and drive blind i.e. not knowing my times.

Nope. Can only turn off all the HUD, but the lap times will still show up after each sector. I think you can turn off the HUD with a few different things still showing, but I think the speedometer will either have to be on with the full HUD or off completely. Fun way to drive, but not quite what you wrre looking for.

Press start, Quick option, race display toggle off.

This turns everything off. 👍

No speed, no revs, no splits, especially good for cock-pit view. :D

I'm not sure about whether my notes are helpful atm, so I'll show this now:

I've tried using 1st gear at La Source and it does work. Problem is that the amount of rotation is unpredictable and unreliable. Just an FYI, I get .7x-.8x at the first split with my more conventional method.

Wow this is really showing how bad my middle sector is..

Still stuck on 2:07.9. I'm making 34.6 every time for the first sector. The more I look, the cleaner my second sector is. I'm even starting to think there's something wrong somewhere.. Settings/ connection/ glitch, I don't know! :banghead::banghead:

What's your split for the second sector?

My latest time in round 3 pretty happy with it so far need to find a second or so & @ outlaw4rc ur right about the 1st gear @ La Source (it can be unpredictable) but trying it over & over again u can find some predictability in it :D:P:tup::gtpflag:Sorry about the low sound recorded my lap on my phone.

He'd also hit them at Les Combes and at Rivage/Bruxelles (which ever one is turn 9 left-hander).

Once I can find more time everywhere else, I'll start chancing it at La Source.

Splits are:

34.750. (Usually 34.6)
1:34.333
2:07.935

So only a theoretical 2:07.8
I'll have to check my .735 lap again but I think you're pretty even with me through sector 2. Must be that pesky bus stop.

I seem to have really wierd consistency. I came on today and was hitting my pb of 2.09.1 and then all of a sudden I smashed a 2.08.76. Then I beat that time by .016 and .010!
So I make a big jump then straight away can hit that time all the time.
After a lot of trying new things I can be .150 up in sector 1 and I think I have another .100 in the bus stop. I can hit 34.6 quite regularly in sector 1, which is decent, but it's sector 2 that I suck!
Hoping for a 2.08.5 this weekend, ended on a 2.08.701 for 37th in the UK. My target for round 4 has always been top 50 UK so hopefully I can carry this through.

Ok, now I'm really baffled..

Went on my other account, and in under an hour I'd posted a 2:07.8, followed closely by a 2:07.740, with a slow 34.8 first sector.

That would put me at a theoretical of 2:07.590.. Something's odd

I'm having some issues when it comes to the Bus Stop... I manage to stay between 1.4-1.5s behind Wolf (1.2s one time!) and when I press the brake pedal I suffer from spikes on my throttle :boggled: It's not good to "stop" the car properly... Any help?

Get the engine's throttle cable checked, I'm sure Nissan would offer to help. ;)

Type into youtube.. how to clean potentiometers on your type of peddals. Dead easy step by step guide on there and makes a huge difference.

If it's any consolation, since the last round is 99% likely to be the GT-R NISMO LMP1, there won't be as much sliding because it's FF and has more downforce.

In fact, I think this will be the first time ever in GT Academy where the final round uses a non-RWD car. Would be interesting to see if it brings out different winners at the top.

Did a terrible first half of track and chucked it in the bus stop like the aliens and I acctually held it. For a 2:08.3** I was behind my ghost by almost half second. By the bus stop I was .3 behind. Made all the time with what I am calling the bus stop Chuck. Wish I could do more time on this one but Every time I find my rythem new baby or wife needs something. Oh priorities.

I'm finding some odd occurrences also. Yesturday, went and did the log in, log out, and log back into the event just to see if the grip issues were there like they were in the first 2 rounds. This time, it seems to be reversed as I couldn't even come close to my time, about .400 off the pace. So I logged all the way out of the game and then back into the event itself, this time logging into the event just once. First lap was a very sloppy one but improved by .053. Second lap I improved by .457 and 3rd lap improved by another .200. After that, no improvement but was still able to keep pace with by ghost, improving in some sectors while losing a bit in others. It was as if I had some alien like grip, pretty weird to say the least. And yes, TC was off in all cases. This was no placebo effect, I'm convinced there is something weird going on in these events....you will not convince me otherwise. The gains are just too big for it to be all in my head and there is just no way my skill set improves by that much from session to session. These occurrences are really starting to turn me off of these events altogether.

I noticed the same thing. Logged out and in couldn't even come close to what I was doing. Got mad and exited out. Went back in and within two laps was on pace and then beat my pb. If this is the case and there are bugs that's pretty bad for a international level of competition. Luckily they don't like Canadians so it's just for fun for me.

Come to think of it you can see it in my line. Worst first half of track ever and still managed to beat my time.

Yea, this is getting down right silly now. Just further confirms my suspicions that grip levels change from session to session. This is really testing my desire to compete any further. Naturally I will, but how really will I know if my time is purely based on my skill level or just some luck of the draw magical grip level in any given session. I feel like I'm going to be asking myself "what if" at the end of round 4. What if, in the final round, I logged out and in again, would I have had a higher grip level to improve my time even further. This (the Academy) was the only thing I had faith in that PD wouldn't screw up and really looked forward to competing in. Now, my desire to compete is waning and I no longer have faith.

Anyone got a track mal with names of the corners on it? I could tell you exactly what each turn is, but I got no clue what some of the names are. Eau Rough is probably the only one I know.

Let's just hope they see our grip level complaints here and fix it for round 4 in the coming software update.
