Christian Horner just said on Sky sports:

We needed to make sure we keep the hottest talent in F1 in our team!!

So Kvyat isn't that then, I mean cause if he was you'd just tell Max to keep on keeping on and the seat will be his next season. Thus allowing Kvyat to just keep going for the remainder of said season and try to wow other teams, rather than being RBR old news. Cause honestly we've yet to see an ex-toro rosso driver and by extension RBR driver race for another team, so I feel if I was Kvyat every drive I make is in hopes of wowing another team. Not sure where he'd go...

This is something I can't really believe. Surely RB has said something.
He says he's gotten bits and pieces, but nothing satisfactory. It sounds like they have given him an explanation, but he has some unresolved questions about it.

I highly doubt Vettel had any sway in the move, it's not like Horner wasn't aware Kvyat had goofed in Russia without Vettel telling him to have a word.

Palmer's tyre blowing a few meters before a 200mph braking zone has lead to some nasty crashes in the past, thankfully everything remained facing in the right direction.

Indeed, very lucky. Curious though, they had a slow puncture this morning on the same car and that issue in China.

Quick, somebody call the FBI. This video appears to have come from an alternate universe, where Benetton had a supply of Honda V12's...

Seriously though, has anyone else noticed the shoddy audio dub here? Because V8's sure as hell don't sound like that!

Yeah they've dubbed a few videos they've uploaded for some reason. You can hear the original audio on this video:

Could the audio dubbing be a way around copyright infringement?

I know when I watch MotoGP replays on YouTube, even some F1 races, they monkey around with the audio to try to tip toe the rules.

Indeed, the videos are also on F1.com. I can't really think of a reason to do it, they own all the rights to the audio and footage and the old TV clip proves audio was recorded.

"I get to keep my points, and the podium."

Kyviat reminding us there that between the 4 Red Bull drivers only he has a podium. For his sake I hope at least that he's faster than Max in his old car. You just can't do anything but to pity him right now.

I enjoyed that dig Dany made with the podium remark. Ricciardo definitely has the consistency, but Kvyat has the bronze trophy to showcase this year.

Oh how I don't miss Damon Hill at all.

I'm not one to pick on this sort of stuff, but seriously though, why on earth is he back. It's been better without him.

I don't mind Damon Hill. He did look really flustered and was struggling for something to say when asked about Joleyon Palmer though. It was as though he had to say something positive but he didn't have anything to say about it.

They just went to an ad break and there was a snippet of a Hamilton/Brundle interview:

"Are you in love with F1? Or less in love than you were?"
"I don't think I ever was in 'love' love with it."

Jesus.

Jesus H Christ. That sounds like something Primary school kids would say about a girl or guy they like.

I can't put my finger on it why I just don't like him. May have something to do with his bashing of McLaren and Honda, then saying Honda should supply Williams as they have the most potential.

It's nice to have Anthony Davidson back, though. He's so quick-witted and dry; he's hilarious.

Sums up Palmer nicely.

It seems that Sauber have reaffirmed their position ahead of Manor, if FP3 is anything to go by.

A bleak sign of the times for Sauber. They're being sucked to the back of the grid.
