That'd be great but we both know that's never going to happen.Audi should sell their current cars to private teams like Rebellion who want to compete in LMP1 and have a realistic chance of scoring podiums and victories.
Maybe a team Joest DPI team???
Accountants.Fair enough they call it a day for prototypes this time around, but for those electric formula things? I don't even want to imagine how silly ideas like this come into fruition.
Indycar would like to argue with that part. Still not keen on FE, but when the car's can go an entire race, then I'll be more interested.Audi are moving into Formula E for business reasons mainly as a brand. They know they'll get more relevant electric powetrain development in FE over any other series, so for a leading manufacturer to pump a lot of money into developing better Electric Motors for cars, it is unsurprising.
Formula E (and Roborace) are just tools for the development of technology for the future, and the fact that FE has some of the best racing in single seaters at the moment is just a bonus.
Read "some of"Indycar would like to argue with that part. Still not keen on FE, but when the car's can go an entire race, then I'll be more interested.
LMP1's in their current form make around 1,000hp, have crushed average race speed records, and are better than F1 cars. Let that marinate in your brain for a minute then come back. Please bring back real race cars, not the eco friendly PC gluten free LMP1. I want to see badass GTs : 911 GT1 vs F1 GTR.
If that can't happen I would like to see them more involved with Audi in GT3, I'm getting bored of WRT.I really hope Team Joest finds a way to stay in the WEC as a privateer team.
They had lots of success before being Audi's team, I bet they will.I really hope Team Joest finds a way to stay in the WEC as a privateer team.
Or, what about a DPI effort? If that can't happen I would like to see them more involved with Audi in GT3, I'm getting bored of WRT.
Well, Bentley never said no to anything other than a 2017 entry. 💡Or, what about a DPI effort?
It sucks doesn't it?Well that's just great, just two years ago with Nissan's return it looked like endurance racing was returning to the glory days of Group C, with dozens competing in the top prototype class. Fat chance of that happening now.
