I went yesterday and boy oh boy was it intense racing. The rain that came and left soo suddenly really shook things up and it was great to see the #1 out of place. Seeing the #7 win the race was unexpected. And then came the second race. Ugh Whincup, curse you to make risky passes at turn 6. He has some serious balls; definitely going to be a problem in today's race. Thankfully David Reynolds is starting first.

Oh well....

Anyway, Hopefully the Nissans can hang in there. Russell got sun, but long way to go.

Thank you, Roger, for paying for the gold wheels.

Looks like they’re silver now after the pitstop. At least they looked good at the start.

Yeah, he's doing good.
Love this inboard with Alex Davison. Track looks simple, but so much precision.

Nice move by Rullo.

The difference in speed between the #1 car and the rest of the field is just disgusting.
At the race now and seeing the gap get MUCH wider every lap is ridiculous. Out of all the times I've been to this circuit this is the most insane gap in performance I have ever seen

De Pasquale continues to impress for me. He’s had a lot of good finishes this year for a rookie, and it doesn’t seem like he gets much of a mention on tv for it.

Speaking of, Will Brown has done an outstanding job this weekend. Massive talent.

Also, is the #99 missing it's headlights?

Russel & Heimgartner held it together(Just got passed by Tander) . Good strategy by the #15 as well.

Holy Smokes! I'm watching the race and still didn't realise the #17 is 20 seconds behind Lowndes. Unreal.

I sort of had a feeling that this race was going to be a great one, but I was pretty wrong with that.

For the last few years the 500 hasn’t really lived up to its heritage, and the qualy races have tended to be better.

I wonder if they’ll throw a yellow for that hunk of debris as it is right next to the racing line

I agree. Got my hopes up, but Scott wasnt feeling confident. DJRTP really fell off.

On to Bathurst it is.

In the last couple of years it has been good at the track at least (can't speak for the tv coverage) with it being close. I've noticed they take much less risk when it comes to turn 7, 8 and 9 overtakes. Saw the number 14 drop out of the throttle when being overtaken at turn 8 to stop any chances of an accident which rarely happened i years past unless it was due to them not being on the lead lap. Maybe the accidents in the past have made the race much more about mitigating risk at least that's what it looks like from here.

Not even sure if Bathurst is worth watching (at least in it's entirety) if it's going to be like this again
