Easy gold with the Range Rover. TIME: 1:1X.XXX (i think 1:12 and can't remember the last 3 digits...)

The best part of this TT is the variety of cars that can produce quick lap times. I've achieved sub 1:10:00 laps in FR, 4WD,RR and MR vehicles. MR cars are proving slightly quicker than the other drive train configurations. Maybe its my driving style, but i didn't expect to be quicker in the Evora than the Elise variants. What 4WD vehicles are you guys getting good results with?

Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype CN.0706 '67 (500PP SH)

An excellent car to get a very easy gold in. This car feels planted and is a lot of fun to drive. Especially around the twisty sections of Eiger. :)

After seeing so many miuras in the top I decided to finally get one. Very surprised of this car, I managed gold with more than a second with only SS and break balance. Will give your tune a go over the weekend.

111.645.... Not a great time, but I only spent a few minutes messing with the setup. In the hands of an excellent tuner and driver, how fast of a lap can a, Spyker C8 Laviolette '01 get?

Thank you sir, I'll try it tonight!

well it helps in the higher speed section, and may be pretty good in the hairpins depending on your driving style...

My driving style is normally like a wild beast but in those hairpins I have to be a tamed beast. :( But seriously even on extremely low speeds with all the other cars I tried I tended to get a lot of oversteer in the hairpins, with the Evora it was much easier (and quicker) to do those hairpins. Kinda weird I would have thought this would be easy game with the lightweight 4WD Delta, even a car I drove quite a lot in the national B series and I'm used to its handling. The Evora was new for me, didn't even do a lap to get the feeling for the car and I did make quite a lot of errors on that gold win. :embarrassed:

Maybe it's just me, not the cars. :P

Gold with the Evoque, then 1:11.54x with Lotus Esprit 350. I'd used the Lotus for the Ascari race and thought it might work here.

Hmm, double post couldn't seem to add quote when editing a post.

Anyway, the MR will more likely give you superior rotation, especially on entry. And better traction out, vs an FR.

I did a few laps in a tuned Delta Integrale, and my biggest problem was understeer on corner entry. I could be aggressive out, but lost time slowing enough to turn-in, compared with the Lotus Esprit.

My Delta was just good enough for a gold time in my average hands.

1.06.440. In the 111R after an hour... Quite a nice combo 👍
What a great time! What is your opinion on the 111R, @Stotty? I absolutely adore the car in GT6. It's nimble & light, but it has a nice amount of get up and go, too. Now, I'm not in your class of driving ability, so I don't know if the 111R can truly be pushed to the limits of some of the other outstanding cars in GT6, so I thought I would ask your opinion. How do you think the 111R stacks up against other 500PP cars?

Always liked the 111r and it's plenty fast at 500ppts (much nicer than the GSX-R).

So far I've struggled to get a really good feeling tune on it - primarily to get a consistent balance in fast and slow corners. Mine understeers in slow corner entries and oversteers in fast corner entries. Plus it has a lot of brake release oversteer. Tune to fix the slow understeer (more rear bias, more rake), and the fast oversteer becomes worse, and vice versa.

But I like the combo, so will put more time in to it over this event 👍

Cool. I can't bring myself to drive the GSX-R much anymore. I will, if I just want to be done with an event quickly, but that's about it. I understand why it gets used so often, It's just too damn good! So, I expect to see it used often among those drivers who are shooting for Top 10/Top 50 finishes.

Gold is set pretty easy in this challenge. Crushed it with a Volkswagen 4wd that I tuned for almost no rear traction.

AAARGH!!! .. I've been wrestling with the Elise 111r on and off all day today and have got it down to 1:07.174 .. I really want to try and beat my registered Miura lap of 1:07.025 .. It's close and I know I can do it, but every time that I manage to get to the final split with a cars length or more lead on my ghost it just all goes wrong in the last sector. :(
I'm really starting to hate that little off track cutting just before the S/F line on the left, too many times it's done me out of a faster lap because of the need to maintain the important exit speed I cannot steer just enough to avoid it without the over-steer snapping and killing the lap anyway. :indiff:
I need to work on the exit line there I think, but it's a bit of a hit'n'miss getting it right when you are trying to bring the car around that whole turn on the edge at the perfect speed.

I'll try again later. :scared:
