Adjusting FOV/Camera using the Multi-screen options

This is awesome on a big screen thanks

How did you do that? Could you post settings please? I'm trying to do this in 2.13, but no success, I can only get the camera closer...

How do you access the special option menu?

By editing your save. Google for further details, it's easy to do with slim's garage editor, further tips aren't allowed here.

Question I have is, is it still possible to activate secret menu in 2.12/2.13? I can't try it at the moment but I will tomorrow. I ask this because someone in this thread and other people over at NextGenUpdate mentioned that you can't once you're past 2.11 but if someone could try, that'd be great.

Yes you can. I have it enabled all the time. I like having the ability to change views while spectating online.

2.13. If it's too much, then just lower the FOV. Depends on cars really, in SX4 WRC it was too close for me with 70.

Yeah, the Murcielago looks great on 70 but other cars are too much, I'm currently testing different cars. The bad part is that the exterior views change way too much, sense of speed is better but cars look like toys lol.

Edit: I've settled at 65. OMG, they have to make this into GT6, it makes GT5 fun...

I set mine to 75, and it looks really good. I've tested it on an Infiniti G35, the old Alfa race car, and the 2010 Camaro. The G35 was good, the Alfa was amazing, but the Camaro was really hard to see out of. But that's no surprise, it had awful visibility on normal settings.

On the other views, it's not too fisheye-ish, the chase cam makes the car look a little too small, but it's not a huge deal. Definitely worth downgrading to use the secret menu.

No, actually, I did this with a fully updated game and it's the first time I ever mod anything in the game so all you need is the secret menu. It seriously makes everything better. The chase cam does make the car too small but it's more dynamic and fast now.

Edit: I'm gonna post some pictures tomorrow, I think 65 is the perfect balance between a wider FOV but without too much fish-eye at least in my opinion. I haven't tried it on my big screen yet though so that might change a bit. Seriously people, this is a game-changer, totally worth having to do the secret menu thingy.

It's not much of this trickery, you just need to enable the secret menu.

I'm trying now to change axis, I took X (as it is the axis I'm caring more about) and chose 90 FOV. Looks fine, a bit wider than normal, but not unnatural. Need to try it on more cars.

For some reason, it doesn't work on custom tracks. And it's a shame, cause I like Toscana :(

You mean to tell me that in the past two days I've downgraded twice, when I didn't have to? Awesome. ( I had to downgrade twice because I was going to use my brother's computer, since mine is broken, but I realised that I didn't know the password until after I downgraded and re-updated, so I had to do it again today.)

Tried using a "Garage Editor" to open the secret menu. It works. And it looks very good!

But... PD will ban me if I will go online now?

I have connected to online, haven't played with other people, but I'm signed into PSN and so far, nothing happened.

Me too but I've been inactive for so long that I really don't care playing with other people and I think they only banned the people who raced in the time and drift trials with ilegal cars.

You won't get banned for using the secret menu. Like I said before, I have it on and I have enabled a few things within it, so I can change views while watching people in watch race online.

Bullcrap.

No. They won't ban you unless you use the name changer function when going in lobbies or enter modded cars in time & drift trials.

And if the unlike occasion should happen that you get banned anyway just google for tools to reassign your save to a new account on your PS3.
