Just going with what I’m comfortable with and that’s the Hyundai. Not the fastest compared to M6 or Genesis but I’ve used it all week and got decent results with it. I tried the M6 the other day and i just couldn’t get my head around the different gears for some cornersWhat are you all using as car choices here, just along the same lines as the daillies?
im going with the Genesis. Got decent times with it, like how it handles and concider it as a good test as i am thinking of signing with Genesis for the coming Manufacturers series...What are you all using as car choices here, just along the same lines as the daillies?

Just had a shocker in the Stang from 9th to 12th and a couple more laps it might have been last, didn't make any major mistakes but just going backwards in a car that's been quick for me this week I hope they're not messing on in the background!im going with the Genesis. Have you done a practice run yet? I was in Kie‘s live stream practice race yesterday and the car felt different to the daily race.Just had a shocker in the Stang from 9th to 12th and a couple more laps it might have been last, didn't make any major mistakes but just going backwards in a car that's been quick for me this week I hope they're not messing on in the background!
Yeah, unless it's to unlock something or get a few credits, I'm just passing on the bot races to be honest.Ive just done a other practice run but with a custom race and what a joke the AI are. On professional and the AI are slow into corners,
I hope to qualify in the front, so then it is 6S,7/8M/2/3HHave you done a practice run yet? I was in Kie‘s live stream practice race yesterday and the car felt different to the daily race.
Ive just done a other practice run but with a custom race and what a joke the AI are. On professional and the AI are slow into corners, they all slow down when you pit so you lose zero time in pit stops and I hate that they is so little settings you can change. Why does online lobbies have the ability to set mandatory tyres, fuel stop speed and a few other things, yet on custom race the only thing you can change is the weather.
My strat is start on hards and hopefully avoid the contact, pit on lap 1 and go to the mediums. End of lap 9 pit for the softs. I’ve found the softs hold up well on the last stint and you can hopefully make up ground on the others on the slower tyres
You're in C?! I'm sure you won't be there for long. You're too good for that.Watkins Glen is my favourite track since it's release in this game and I think that I am pretty good at at, at least for my level. It is sych a wonderfull flowing track with a very nice rhytm.
I usually do not do Nations but I could not resist driving a race on this awesome circuit...
C lobby, and i went out second in qualifying. first lap was not to bad with a 1.44.2 but my second lap felt really good. And it was good enough indeed, got a 1.43.7, very close to my best practice time. Usually I am way more off! Was pretty confident that it was sufficient and it was. A Portugese fellow was second with 1.44.3 in a Porsche. (daring choise!)
Start went okay and in the next laps i opened a bit of a gap of about 4 seconds, while trying to keep my tyres in good condition. After 5 laps my lead was decreasing though and it was only 2 seconds when I pitted for mediums in lap 6. The Porsche in second did one more lap.
Then something strange happened, the Porsche pitted in lap 7 and when it came back i suddenly had a huge lead, about 16 seconds on the car in second. It was cruising from that moment although i was a bit worried that different tyre strategies would have an affect.
But I ended with a win, and three cars got a 1 minute penalty for failing to put on the correct tyres. The Porsche ended second, about 16 seconds behind. my strategy of 6S/7M/3H went excellent, my fastest time on the hards matched the slowest time on the mediums!

Yes, 's, m and h have to be usedDo you have to use all 3 compounds in this race? Wondering why I got a minute penalty?
by not crossing the yellow line when entering and the same for going out.Is this track broken? How do I avoid cutting pit lane penalty?
I hope to be B again in a few races. At the moment I am not competing for a final score in the league so I am selecting the most fun races where I have a good chance for a good result. Think one or two more good races and I am B again and in GTL2You're in C?! I'm sure you won't be there for long. You're too good for that.
or the firstIt is always fun to be in the same race with another GT Planet member, although it is a bit of a pressure also, it is the last person you want to punt in to the gravel by accident....
Gotta fight for your superiority.
The lap 1 Hard stop was my only real strategy to move up as I didn't have a lot of pace. In my race the start glitch made it pay off huge as lap 1 was run under slow auto drive so I lost no time to the faster runners and more or less had a free pit stop. I started the "racing" portion of my race 19 seconds behind, but didn't have to gamble on track limits on Hards. Made huge time by being able to just drive and gain knowing everyone else had at least 1 or 2 more laps on hards where I was stealing seconds off them.Ran 4 races, won 3. Only on pole once, ran to lap 9 on medium, soft to 15, then the last on hards and had no problems. The only race I lost was because I bottled it myself getting bored in clean air. Not to sound arrogant, but the lap 1 hard stop strategy didn't make sense to me. Whoever did it had to spend the race in a bunch of traffic and dirty air, I was just maintaining pace and building easy gaps.
You were in my race tonight. The 7pm slot. That race was a lot cleaner than I thought it was going to be.
Was happy to find pace in the BMW on a track I've struggled to get my head around so far. Started and finished in 5th. Ran as high as 2nd when the pitstops were playing out.
Was surprised to see the GT-R that started down in 12th come home for a podium. I never saw them in race, so they must've got past me during my last stop.

Luckily almost anytime I ccaught up to someone they were pitting so I kept getting clean air.
I know it wouldn't work for everyone but I basically won the lottery with it thanks to a silly bugged start, and I'll take it after having some terrible luck in rounds where I had a huge pace advantage.
After having a mare of slot 1 (got spun out in T1 lap 1, ended up 20s behind the leader after the first lap, still got fastest lap), knew I'd have to run slot 2 and in qualifying punched out a 1:42.721 for third on the grid after not managing to get into the 42s all week. Thought I'd try something different and start on mediums, after the top 2 pitted I led for four laps till I pitted for Hards. Did a silly and went over pit lane limits, came out on Hards for a few laps (being on controller makes me wear out tyres real quick) made some positions as people came in for their 2nd stop. Had a fellow Kiwi following me for most of that time (it was real close for overall points between me and 3 others for top NZ gt2) come in for my last stop onto softs for that late race push and.....pit lane penalty again so with 2 laps to go it was about a 4 second gap with me sitting in 6th. I'm thinking this will get me 2nd locally then coming into the last corner theres a yellow flag with a spun car and the guy I'm trying to beat with a silly 1 min penalty for tyres. Get 4th at the death, and without those 2 silly penalties I would of been in with a shout at a podium.
It was just enough to give me 4th Oceania and 1st for NZ for GT2 this season and in doing so raised my driver rating to A and hopefully to jump into the big boy league of GT1 next season. Going to be tough going up against the fast guys with wheels but hopefully I can get faster
Would have put you with the guy who ran away in my race in GT1 as well. You'll do fine up here. Us controller drivers are holding up decently enough in most of the splits and I've raced you and seen the pace.
