Looks to me like footage of someone sat stationary in a real car with the game footage in front of it on a large projector screen. Like those Eunos/MX-5/Miata simulators that some arcades used to have.

Agreed, anyone with GT5P now will be buying the full release, theirs nothing to gain from GT5P really now other than keeping the fans happy, but i'm sure fans would be more happy with a closer release date than GT5P updates

I am really excited to find out exactly what details PD have gone too with changeable weather. I have maintained that endurance races will be much more fun with changeable weather and day/night cycles. Combined with more cars on track I really think Endurance races on GT5 will be something special.

Egads... one man's fun is another man's headache, but weather should be very interesting to say the least. I'm more juiced about time of day changes myself, and to find out for certain if damage will only be on race cars or not. If PD can give us something like GRID, that would be something else, but I would be a little happier if it was less damage and be for all cars, maybe like Forza. We'll see in... why isn't May over yet!

As for the above vid samples, I'm curious what exactly Audi/GT Europe was doing. Regardless, the Ring does look amazing, nothing less than I expected.

They should give us a final update of GT5P, a special car not included in GT5. It can be just a normal car with new paint job or sticker. Like a thank you for playing note for all the fans. But I am still happy for having GT5P anyway.

If damage is being added it should have been added to Prologue by now to test it out. I don't see it happening so it seems all the testing is being done internally and that too just for race cars.

If the translation is correct and the damage is just for the race cars it further proves that it was the car manufacturers whom said no to damage and not PD being pig headed or not having the skills to do it.

Could you point out the bit which states or insinuates a prologue update, its just I can't see it myself, and I didn't notice anything that suggested such in the article.

Might also be due the way the part is recorded (not direct feed). That shouldn't change the coulour that much though.

I expected to see some wonderful helicopter camera views over Eifel mountains or something like that and I saw minor update of GT4's Nordschleife with few updated bushes along the way to the style from London track I strongly hate, because it looks very cartoonish. Still no grass there, still no damage, still no weather to see, just same "it will be maybe in final game" BS.

Ok people lets be rational, we have now ferrari and interiourview with 16 cars on track, plus every car consisting of 200.000 polygons!(highest standard in industrie).
That is already a lot. Now Weather,Night AND DAMAGE are confirmed and i kinda believe them. I think it's just awesome and wo should be thankfull.
If now we also get lambo, porsche, bugatti, etc., then the game is perfect, at least for me.

I would certainly hope they include the V12TDi R8. I would really like to see more Audi Le Mans cars also, Audi have had a very succesful Le Mans history. The R8 (LMP) is a good start. perhaps the R10 diesel?

KY didn't confirm GT5 will have weather and day/night, he said they're are working on it, which is KY's way of saying "can't confirm or deny". It's his generic answer to all specific feature questions he is asked before he is ready to announce anything.

Just like when ever he is asked about Porsche he says talks are about to start or they will start soon as the license is free.

Not that we know of but it is a pretty safe bet the 5.2 FSi will be included in GT5.

Yep the video is from last year and I assume a lot can be done in 6 months. I can only guess that someone from Sony has stepped up and said "enough is enough we need this out for Christmas" or "we are dropping the price of the PS3 in December so we need the game to release with that."

I honestly think it is one of the two.....that and I just really want the full game to release soon. Well time passes by and I can say now that we are less than 4 weeks away from E3 which I hope is great.

Thats looks to me that its a difference in recording, not evidence that there is different lighting/weather.

I'll personally wait till E3 before getting excited about what looks like nothing other than further confirmation the Nurburgring will be in GT5 (which we already knew).
