Best/Worst You've Dealt With in GTA Online

It's been a while since I've actually been in a race. In fact, I have barely raced during this stint of GTA Online, nothing like a year ago, where ALL THE TIME I was doing races (partly the reason why I got rich in little time).
I raced two random players the other night and they kept trying to spin/crash me.. i won the first race and spent the next few "repaying" them since I don't actually need wins anymore.

Brace for another wall because today is another episode of AnthonyD1993's bad GTA sessions.

I wound up ragequitting GTA today for the first time ever because of an idiot crew member. It all started when I was trying to get some headshots in with a couple crew members, and there were three of us doing it. Suddenly, a fourth member joined us with the intention of crashing the party. This member wound up shooting us from distances with assault rifles, and the three of us used pistols. This member wound up going 4-1 against me like this. Said member later wound up irking me to the point that I started a deathmatch with her. I going to use my trusty Special Carbine since it's my go to gun, but she insisted that I should use pistols. I obliged, and I promptly pulled out the Heavy Pistol. However, I quickly got dropped. Something wasn't right here.

I noticed that bullets were coming at me in rapid fashion in a manner that couldn't be a pistol. However, I was already mad enough, so I ignored it and just kept shooting. After being dropped once, I quickly evened up the count. I then took the lead and relished glory in the deathmatch- or so I thought. She quickly evened up the count and then got another death to my anger. I got one more kill before she nabbed me due to being wounded by the fuzz (why did the police even have to show up right then?), and went to get the last kill I could. Unfortunately for me, it ended in a 4-3 defeat.

But here is the granddaddy of rage that made me almost decide to grief the lobby (mostly full of friends and friends of friends) with a jet- this girl gloated about beating me in a deathmatch by one kill. One kill is a very hollow victory, and by the way she was acting about it, you would have thought that it shut me out 5-0. Along with being down 8-4 by a member of the crew who used cheap tactics (I found out about her not using a pistol later when I rejoined about an hour later), she blatantly killed my brother (who is timid enough at this game due to being a target for griefers) because he blew up her buzzard with a Bestra. That pretty much set me over the edge (espically when she began to follow him with a knife. I muted my mic and damn near went jet griefing, but since knew that I was angry, I just decided to shut off the PS3 instead.

I sometimes wonder why I still play GTA because I keep going through the same garbage day after day (by garbage, I mean that the crew's golden rule, no member killing unless consent is given, gets violated daily and nothing is done about it). I guess that I might be looking for some new games to play soon, and to be frank, I might put GTA away for a while. It's getting to the point where it seems to anger me more than anything. One last thing-if you're not going to actually use a weapon that you want someone else to use in a deathmatch, don't tell the other person to use it. Next time I get into a deathmatch with this girl, I'll probably just take her out with a Heavy Sniper until she either ragequits or tries to call for a truce out of despiration. I won't make the mistake of taking her weapon callouts seriously in deathmatches ever again.
Just so everyone knows- the girl who made me ragequit a few nights ago wound up ragequitting a few nights later because she stupidly thought that she could beat one of the best fighters in the crew. The end result was her ragequitting after losing that fight 18-0, and before anyone asks, she actually was trying in that match. Seeing her ragequit was priceless.
So it seems the thing to do is host a mission....and let one person do all the work. I completed Trash Talk by myself, and the other 2 gained 24 grand by not doing a thing.

When I noticed that the other 2 were going to do the same thing on the mission Titan of a Job, I purposely got my self killed...forcing the other 2 to finish the mission. That's what I will do from now on if the host thinks he can just free load.
That is the main reason that I only do missions with friends. That way, I don't have to worry about deadweights. The lone exception is a friend of a friend who just recovered his account and has nothing as a result. We tell that guy to stay out of the way and let us do the work because he's a terrible fighter.

It's already a good day on GTA if you enter a race and people DON'T try and spin you out.
Too many people in the races do that. They seem unable to win legitimately so they try to take you out first.
I love seeing them get mad and lose it when it doesn't work and you just see them disappear into the face of a wall.
The reactions are even better when their car is modded and yours is stock.
This is one of the only times I turn the mic/audio on. It can be hilarious.

Only thing that bugs me is when you join a race lobby and the host won't start because he only has 13 or 14 people.
(("I WANT 16 IN MY RACE!!!"" ))
Jeez, just start the damned race already.

I love when they try and spin you out at a corner, miss, and go headfirst into a wall...

All the years of playing and practice in the Gran Turismo series certainly helps in the GTAV races.
Especially when half of the competitors are CoD players who want to be badass racers.

Loving the attempted pit manoeuvres they do, then you hit em straight back with their own medicine 👍

Had a race a few days ago where a few serious guys joined and then some not so serious unknowns. Green flag drops all is good through a few turns then a random dropped way off and guess he couldn't handle his loss. Began driving backwards ramming people. Got me twice. Was still able to pull a third and dodge him the rest of the race. Was like really. What is wrong with you.

The other day, I joined a custom race with the creator of the track. It was just me and him in a long distant foray in the rain. It wasn't an all out ram fest but we did bump a few times, mostly with him spinning out. With the traffic on, and me using my Blade with it's not so good turning ability, he was able to catch up. His track was not a straight through like most around San Andreas routes. It went through the neighborhood of Paleto Bay, and near the end it cut around some of the overpasses in Los Santos. Just a few checkpoints away from the finish, I wasn't able to make a turn, and he was able to take a 30 second win with his Dominator in a 11 minute 26 second race.

So far, me 2, tanks 0

2 different sessions. It seems everyone else was running away. First one was in a lower alleyway and fired a couple grenades, done. The next was chasing some poor sap around some hedges, then he stood still long enough to fire a couple rockets. Of course this one went to Passive Mode, and left after I was aggressive towards him.

Ahh love it when I hop into a glitch and tanks come straight towards me, they're all confused and look like sitting ducks

I personally wouldn't get too comfortable hiding like that from a tank as you can still get tankshelled if they aim in the right place.

Yours sincerely, someone who blitzed two bounties who hid in a wall awhile back.

Well the glitch is a bit more complicated then that, my spot is where they can shoot into one wall but if I move back far enough I won't get hit, more bounties for me

This thread has been dormant for a few weeks, but I'll bring it back with a story I had tonight.

I had my best game of golf ever tonight while playing with a few friends , and I scored a -3 (I'm sure that some people here have done better than that, but I'm pretty proud of that since I only started playing golf recently). The game was domination to me since the second best score was +3.

What made the game so good wasn't my score however, but rather, the trash talk and screwing around of my friends. Whenever I started shooting, they would start heckling me to try to get me to mess up. One of my friends started making insults during my shots to try to faze me, but instead, I made the shot. In fact, during the game, there was some sort of crude, profane phrase uttered for comedic purposes during the game at all times. I missed a couple shots just from laughing at the insults being hurled. Then voice changers got involved, and there went the neighborhood.

The real kicker, however, was that one of my friends started deliberately missing shots after the lobby decided to kill the winner with golf clubs after the game. Most of his shots were accidental at first, but later, he started to aim his ball at where the characters. He also drove his ball as far out of the course as he could, and he started to troll at the time as well which resulted in split sides. He also almost hit 20 over par (he shot +19) after calling that he was going to get that!

I haven't laughed that hard in a while, and I've never made a blitz run back to my apartment in town as fast as I did tonight. I'm also slightly shocked that the college's security didn't pay me a visit to tell me to shut up since it's finals week at the time that I'm writing this. Also, before anyone asks, most of the profane insults cannot be said on GTPlanet- that's how crude they were.

Ahh golf is the best when you're really good at it on GTA

I used to play weekly with my friends to get the XP and just for laughs and most of us would go around shooting -6 or better.

Then when you hop into random invite games and you're just beating everyone by a lot of shots, the rage gets real

I can second that. All of my friends almost ragequit because I was a couple feet from getting an eagle on one of the par 4 holes. I haven't laughed that hard during golf since I watched my brother ragequit a game despite everyone being way over par. Golf is the one thing that it doesn't matter if you are good at it or if you suck at it- either way, you'll probably be busting a gut at some point of the game.

Exactly well said, always good to get a few laughs from GTA every now and then 👍

Good: Doing online missions alongside a level 500+ player and a few others who knew what they were doing.

Bad: Trolls that always try to ambush you outside the LS Customs garage, I often have to find new sessions repeatedly until I find a room without people camping out at them.

Never use the LS Customs in Burton near the Vinewood Plaza. It's the closest one to all 10-car apartments so even if nobody is there when you get there, chances are someone will have started waiting for you by the time you leave.

I use that one all the time, but then again, I always play in private lobbies, so I don't have to worry about that. But that place in particular is a C4 paradise since it is easy to get to. One other recommendation is to have a property way out of Los Santos and use that as the lobby spawn in point. I have a house in Paleto bay for that very reason.

Lately I haven't had anything good to tell since most of the issues I have are friend vs friend issues. I do have a guy that seems to like giving me hell (guy is a friend of the guy whose private lobbies I usually join), but the host gave me the green light to kill if I need to so that this guy will leave me alone. Getting permission to be trigger happy is rare since we all play together to avoid just that.
