Best/Worst You've Dealt With in GTA Online

Short story but anyways let's begin shall we?

I was doing a racing playlist with a friend of mines who's also in my crew. There's about 15 races in the playlist. I didn't play through the entire playlist and everything went pretty fine up until the 8th race which is where I give because not only did I felt like playing through the entire playlist but also because the voice chat was starting to get really annoying.

I started the 8th race in my Coquette BlackFin. After the race started, I spun out one of the players for payback as one of them also spun me out on the 7th race. So after that, during the race, one of the players who was like a 10 year old or something got really out of hand. The kid would constantly keep saying yummy and make stupid genitalia jokes as well as those overrated yo momma jokes. He wouldn't shut up apparently. Now I know you guys would say "Pokemonfan why didn't you mute him?" Well we were in the middle of the race and I didn't felt like making a stop just to mute the kid. The race finish and the kid wasn't going to stop saying yummy until I leave which I was going to leave the lobby anyways before this happened after the 8th race.

I wonder who at Rockstar thought it was a good idea to not be able to mute anyone during the leaderboard screen after the race. I'm not sure if the player I spun out was that annoying kid that was constantly saying yummy as I wasn't really paying good attention on who was talking but this is pretty much a good example on why kids shouldn't be playing GTA Online. ;)

Y'oughta use a headset--if things get out of hand like that, set it aside. ;)

Okay, so I have no doubt this isn't a new thing, but twice in a row I accepted contact mission invites from someone (different players each time) who started the job in their apartment and just stayed there while I got to do the work solo. Sure, I've actually offered to do all the work on numerous occasions, but to actually force it on me (or anyone else who ended up accepting the invite)?

Then, not 20 minutes ago, I accepted an invite to Effin' Lazers (I jump at the opportunity to fly during a mission) and the host just stood in the start location while I ran to Sandy Shores and hopped into a jet and then waited for them to do something. I circled around several times, shooting at them--no personal vehicle--to incite a response so that the mission proper could commence, but nothing. Finally, tired of waiting, I kamikaze'd the parked Lazer and, seconds later, got a message through PSN: "🤬 u y u crash"...the little crap weasel was standing there watching me wait for him to do something.

I can't stand when people do that. It's like, why even buy the game when you aren't even going to play it? I know, they're bossting for money, but seriously, if you know how to do a mission, ammo isn't that expensive. I usually just use my heavy pistol if others are playing, since it only costs me $147 and I enjoy doing missions.

If it ends up happening to me, I usually just leave the mission. If you ain't helping, I ain't either.

Or you could always wait until their game boots them from the session for inactivity. They get what they deserve, ad you make a bit extra.

I feel better. Had a good run--probably 20 jobs in a row--with a good group. Even unlocked my last Simeon job (ATV Steal).

People who do nothing and wait for other people in missions are hilarious.

Many updates ago when I used to grind Coveted I joined someone, first go around they shot a few people, second go I did the mission solo.

I thought welp 🤬 this, we spawned in on the 3rd mission and he went afk, saw my personal vehicle and walked down the road towards it, saw his car (high end car, at least 8k insurance worth) and RPG'd it

No insurance was paid :mischievous:

Then the little pip-squeak got mad (obviously) and brought a tank outta nowhere and I was driving around and was following me and I pulled up to a complete stop with him behind me in my adder.

Went straight over me, boom friendly kill.
Spawned in again doing the job on normal difficulty and no insurance was paid by me :sly:

That's how you deal with lazy people who don't want to grind missions, just leave them with a $15k debt

Some stupid host invited the whole session to one of those "OMG BIG JUMP" races and I joined just for the heck of it.

While scrolling between bikes to choose the timer expired and I was on the Bagger at the time. FML.

I could have pulled off the first jump if I'd picked my custom Bati, but the Bagger is way too slow. Apparently my opponents were also having difficulties with that jump. I then came up with the idea of going to the place where the boosts were all together, pick one up and make the jump, when...

wasted
xxxxx
rifled you.

Drat. I was in a GTA race. However, since we were all in the same spot, I decided to take advantage of it.

You rifled xxxx.
You ended xxxxx.
You riddled xxxx.

Oops. Bullpup rifle ammo is gone. Nevermind; it was a golden opportunity to improve at sniping. The race had turned into a 1v1 deathmatch because the host had driven off to avoid the carnage. I was 4 kills down, but the other player was oblivious to the fact that I was fighting from a distance and that therefore he had to do the same. The host arrived a few minutes later and they both ganged up on me, only to shockingly discover that assault rifles can only shoot so far.

Final score: 25-13.

Sooo... I guess this turned out pretty well. :P

So...I try sell my Vigero to fund my low rider Buccaneer ... and I can't enter LSC, says this car cannot be modified. I spent alot on it's mods, why can't I even enter Los Santos Customs. Just as a test, I try a Phoenix. Of course it lets me in but I don't want to sell that one.

So today, I hoped online like I normally do, and felt like earning some cash to upgrade my Brawler.

First I look at my daily objectives. Tennis. Yeah, that's not gonna happen, so there goes one method.

Plan B, I'll grab my gand Peyote and head over to the gang area, see if I can't pick up a car to sell. Easy, right?

After about 5 minutes if driving, a wild distract the cops for Lester circle.appears, which I really don't like doing, since the payout insn't that great. I eventually made my way over to Grove Street where I spy a purple Peyote. Cha-ching! I walk over in my bulletproof suit with the helmet and hope in the driver's seat. Apparently bulletproof helmets are no match for about a dozen Ballas.

Ded.

Well, that didn't work. I spawn over by the Vagos' parking lot, which was empty, so I run back over to reclaim my last gen lowrider, making sure not to stwp into the purple circle on my mini map.

Suddenly, a two star wanted level appears? Confused rage spills from me, and after a 3 minute chase in arguably the worst hgetaway car ever, the Peyote, I return to my hunt for a gang car.

But, for whatever god given reason, as I approach the gang territories a second time, a wild four star level appears! I wasn't even in the circle!

Furious now, I quickly find a contact mission from Martin on my phone. I back out of the mission, thinking that the $800 has cleared my name, only to appear on the GOH with, you guessed it, a four star wanted level.

At this current moment, I'm working on GT6 seasonals, so if anyone wants to earn some money on last gen, please do hit me up.

I've found that the "Distract Cops" circle is misleading. You will enter the zone a short distance from the perimeter, which gets annoying.

As for the gang vehicles, I once attempted to steal a red BMX from the Ballas. The first attempt didn't go well, and I died after only going 20 feet. After I respawned nearby, the bike was in the same spot where I died. I picked it up and continued on, with zero trouble from the gangsters, thankfully.

Worse Pac Standard ever. First Level 28 died multiple times exiting the bank, including blowing himself up trying to throw a grenade out the door. Then once we make it out... He dies a few times on the way to the bikes.

Okay... none of us had that garage to get a Kuruma, so.... multiple times "a crew member died" on the trip to the canyon. Was it level 28? No... Level 121 kept crashing and died right after. I think we made it to Sandy Shores once.

I was taking part in a race around the Port of LS which got ruined by hackers. It was meant to be a sedan race, but one hacker spawned in a Progen T20 for himself, and his hacker buddies were blowing up almost everyone. Somehow I didn't get blown up, but then when I was about a minute in the lead I was thrown up into the air. They did this to me three times, and by the time they were done, I had lost my lead. Also, they managed to make the framerate crap itself by spawning in all sorts of junk, like a tram, some Hydras and a UFO. 👎

Had to kill 10 players so I ventured into public with the expectation of beyond frustrated with multiplayer goings on to the point of leaving before meeting my quota, but after having to ditch my Hydra (can't wait for my rebate :)) due to damage, I got into a fun little free mode deathmatch with someone ranked higher than me--pointless, with my own rank being high enough to have all body armor--but who didn't seem to use anything more powerful than the sniper/marksman rifle or special carbine I was using myself.

We were trading off most hits with one occasionally getting a couple kills in a row or getting taken out by cops, but this rank 38 flew by in a Lazer and took out cop cars with the explosion taking out the both of us. He looped back around for another pass but I took him out with a homing RPG and the two of us who were killing one another proceeded to pummel him into the ground over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

...and over and over and over and over and over with the Kuruma I'd called in and the Insurgent he had nearby. I had 4 stars and hadn't so much as wrinkled a single cop's uniform.

People are starting to troll hard now, almost killed two people but they hopped into passive as I was shooting them, and some crazy dude with a high KDR went off the radar to try and kill me but saw his car approach me and went passive mode and got mad when I spawned in my bike, starting shooting my bike and stole his car instead

Well let's see...

Every session I've been in has had a modder in it. Spawning random things in, blowing up cars etc.

Here's the best part: every single car in my 4 garages have been reverted to stock and some with changed paint colors.

Well it was a good 5 days. Time to leave the launch icon in a forgotten folder again...

That right there (along with my friends not playing GTA) is a major reason for me not even putting the game in the PS3. The last time I played the game actively, I was switching back and forth between my two characters. Every lobby I spawned into except for one had a modder in it, and the only modder-free lobby I spawned into was an absolute warzone. I haven't even bothered to load the game since then.

Wait, do you need to pay for the upgrades again? :ill:

That seems nasty if so.

The worst a hacker ever hits me with.. whatever he uses, is, aside from turning me into a television set, remove all of my weapons from the wheel.

I got them back after joining a new room.

Yep, every single upgrade along with some altered paintjobs. Though I'm not sure if it changed now since I don't really feel like logging back on. While I was playing it stuck with me in several sessions along with some spawned in props.

I run with a couple modders usually, and they don't do stupid things like take away guns or mods (or especially don't blow up people, hence why we play with them). I have, however, seen them put stuff on people or freeze people in place for being blatant idiots in our lobbies. Its always funny that modders can "help people" and be nice if they wanted (in quotes because their helping obviously isn't Rockstar approved), but most decide that playing like an asshole is a better idea and then wonder why most of the community hates modders.

I remember a time with a 'good' modder.

He was with another fella who was okay, at least to me. So that means I'm cool from their view.

What he did was, while I was goofing off in the airport, appeared in my face with an Atomic Blimp and ride in it. I had no idea it had passenger seats. The sky was clear, and I know I would never get a blimp ride with other people like this.

Needless to say, that was an experience. Too bad I forgot to take pictures!!

Ugh. That's awful. If I was in your situation, I would've sent R* a ticket explaining what happened.
