Great, I'm up for this and might have a teammate around to join too.

So just to be clear on start time, is ACDST UTC (GMT) +10.5 hrs, meaning a start time in UK of 2130 Sat night?

Believe me, there's nothing I would rather be doing, but my brother is flying in Thursday night and will be spending the weekend with us, so I don't think I'll be able to make the race :guilty:

I believe that is correct :)

Great stuff, I have been waiting for some action on the Nurb. See you there!

I'm having issues with my internet connection or modem. It disconnects every few minutes. If it gets better, I have to see if I got time for the race. Got work tomorrow night

What is the Wurks PSN?

Knukken, my teamate living in Amsterdam has been having connection to GT5 problems the past 48 hrs too. I wonder if its a local problem because I've been fine here in the UK

Race starts in 6hrs ten min. Finishes roughly 2 hours later and that includes qual.

Could someone tell me how BobD manages to do his excellent Race Photo reviews? I don;t see an option to 'Save' a race replay at the end of an online race. Am I missing something or does he record the race through some external means

After the race you can select the little podium at the bottom (Next to the chat of the top of my head) of the screen when you return to the lobby.
There you can save your replay.
Back in the main menu of GT5, you select the replay button and watch the replay and use photomode.

Is that what you mean Gadget?

Cobani

Thanks mate, it's exactly what I meant. I will check that out later after what I hope is a fun evenings racing

Well done on HP's stratigic win. I was very rusty going into the race cold, but my second stint was great. My laptimes were not as fast as they were before. Given the minimal difference in bhp, was that because of the new update and should I retune my car?

What are your thoughts on that? Great racing and I love heavy damage. :)

Although I only got 5th, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great race upfront between Cobani/HP......I wish I'd been closer to get in the mix, but ultimately I've not quite got that pace yet.

Unfortunately at the start of the 2nd lap I rounded a corner to see a cloud of tyre smoke which completely masked Davidb who'd spun and was parked sideways completely blocking the track. I hit him hard, giving serious damage to us both and meaning that we were only realistically competing for the minor positions after that. No hard feeling for David. I know he just spun pushing hard to keep up with the very rapid HP.

I enjoyed the subsequent dice with David as we both tried to chase 4th place WIDFO. David was a few seconds a lap quicker than me but made a mistake on lap 10 allowing me to pass him as he limped along with damage.

Can't wait for the next one. When is it?

Yeah, I feel bad about that. I just put a rear wheel in the dirt at quite a fast corner and ended up spinning a couple of times. I haven't seen the replay yet but it must have looked quite impressive. It's unfortunate that I hit Gadget. I'm not sure if I was completely stationary or if I was rolling forward at the time. To be honest, it was all a bit of a blur.

I had spent some time tuning following the 2.09 update and had read on the forums that the update had made online more understeery, and that adding negative toe in on the rear helped get the car to turn in. I had tried this and found it to be true, however, I reckon it made it much worse when I put a wheel in the dirt. When I get back on I am going to dial it back out I think.

Also, I reckon the driving physics for a damaged car have also changed post the update. After my damage I was driving with about 50 degrees on the wheel to keep the car straight, and had to be completely crossed up to go around right hand corners. I don't recall ever having steering that bent before.

Also, when limping around I tried to pull to the side for ANFD to pass but with the damage I was swerving a bit and he ended up spinning too. Apologies if that was my fault too (all in all, lap 2 was a 'mare).

Anyway, apart from that, I did enjoy the run around the ring. When I kept the car on the track I was keeping up with the leaders (reducing the gap) so I ought to be competitive if I can just control myself a bit better :)

Apology accepted :) It did mess me up but no more than I messed myself up. I was almost grateful to have someone else to blame for once (in my mind at least) since I feel even worse when I crash on my own with no ones help :) I had visitors from out of town and was sleep deprived and distracted so I must have lost it at least 3 times on my own anyway, so the incident with you was quite inconsequential :)

I had made some last minute changes to the set up due to the change in specs etc. and wasn't comfortable with the car nearly as much as I had been. I know I'm not as fast as most but even so, I drove a horrible race :nervous:

I thought you might want to see from my view :)

Forgive my ignorance, but what/where is the 'OP'. Can you confirm when the next race is please?

The Original Post mate, my first one of the thread :)

HP, OK, can I formally enter please? I am now a CRAP member and successfully completed my CEL last week (Silver). What else do you need from me if there are still spots?

AKA, the SUBJECT... of this thread 👍

By the way, we can pick ANY car on the lists in the OP?

Correct and correct. And yes Gadget you're entered, I'll update driver list soon but consider this post your confirmation :)
