Unfortunately at the start of the 2nd lap I rounded a corner to see a cloud of tyre smoke which completely masked Davidb who'd spun and was parked sideways completely blocking the track.
Yeah, I feel bad about that. I just put a rear wheel in the dirt at quite a fast corner and ended up spinning a couple of times. I haven't seen the replay yet but it must have looked quite impressive. It's unfortunate that I hit Gadget. I'm not sure if I was completely stationary or if I was rolling forward at the time. To be honest, it was all a bit of a blur.
I had spent some time tuning following the 2.09 update and had read on the forums that the update had made online more understeery, and that adding negative toe in on the rear helped get the car to turn in. I had tried this and found it to be true, however, I reckon it made it much worse when I put a wheel in the dirt. When I get back on I am going to dial it back out I think.
Also, I reckon the driving physics for a damaged car have also changed post the update. After my damage I was driving with about 50 degrees on the wheel to keep the car straight, and had to be completely crossed up to go around right hand corners. I don't recall ever having steering that bent before.
Also, when limping around I tried to pull to the side for ANFD to pass but with the damage I was swerving a bit and he ended up spinning too. Apologies if that was my fault too (all in all, lap 2 was a 'mare).
Anyway, apart from that, I did enjoy the run around the ring. When I kept the car on the track I was keeping up with the leaders (reducing the gap) so I ought to be competitive if I can just control myself a bit better
