Everyone, it is with great embarrassment that I have forgotten today's practice, I worked this morning and completely neglected to advise of same, I truly hope no one was inconvenienced by my screw up.

Next week on Sun morn in Aus, so sat night for northern hemispherians, is a confirmed guaranteed practice at 8am ACDST.

Again, my sincerest apologies to all, this one totally slipped my mind :(

Guys, I've just got a 2nd job on weekends so I'm out for the weekly practice, I'll organise someone to run it this week and I'm thinking of doing a midweek session so I can practice with you all. Same time on a Wednesday morning here, Tues night for northern hemispherians, work for you all?

During the week I cannot practice so late in the night, so I'm out for that.
But I'm always up for weekend practices.
If necessary I'm willing to open a room and run a race, but that's completely up to HP and the rest of the organisers.

Cheers and thanks for keeping us up to date. 👍

Back from work this weekend. See you on track Sunday morning.

Hopefully some of you got going this morning, if so let me know how it goes.

I'm off to work now on a train not running laps of nurburgring :-(

Good run with Knukken this morning, Gadget came into the lounge and watched but he was at GF's place and no steering wheel.

I managed to do a PB tonight of 8.17.517 (on a full tank) :) Finding the right tune really does make a difference, and it might only be one setting that makes the difference.

Nice.

Unless there is something in an update somewhere I missed, GT5 doesn't take into account weight of fuel. When we tested this last year, the data didn't support it anyway. Thoughts?

people say that the lap times get faster as the fuel tank drops until tire wear takes over, the biggest trend I have noticed right through series I have been in is that peoples fastest lap is generally lap 3-5, I have noticed in some car's on cold tires handle like a car on cold tires sort of, and HP has stated he has noticed a grip difference between day and night, I don't notice it as much as he say's but its still enough to be noticed, I guess it comes down to who is driving, and vehicle set up's,

Yes you could be right. I may have been getting confused with the fact that fuel consumption per lap drops with decreasing fuel load (weight). At least I believe it does. ?

We haven't noticed this either. We ran 3-4 laps on Daytona road (to cut out the chances for error in driving) on new tires and full tank and noted the times...then wasted gas to almost empty, changed the tires and and ran another 3-4 laps. We didn't see any difference in lap times due to the tank being supposedly lighter. I'll pull up the data when I get a chance.

As for the fuel consumtion, I think we noted the same number of laps around the ring for a given number of litres with either a full or empty tank. We need data. I'll fish around in our numbers.

Well I've run an 8.14 with nearly no fuel compared to 8:18 and up on full tank,I'd say there's a marked difference. Kurt was your testing done offline?

well I guess it can be noticed by some people, I guess I'm to consistent to notice such time differences, (meaning I don't push hard enough)

can somebody convert the time to GMT (UK)
i´d love to participate here, if time fits me

Sounds Intresting...
404 or 394 bhp?

394. Qualifying time(s) for entry are going up today.

Fellow VLNers, apologies for MIA lately. I am taking time off from GT5 to work on some real-life problems, and also my dedicated racing TV-set is on loan elsewhere. If things settle down later I might confirm my attendance for the next 4-hour race.

Have fun and may you find the perfect line everytime.

i´m in it to win it!
with NSX-RM, Civic RM or GT-R R32 TC

Guys, qualifying time for the next 4 hour race is 8:35.000 or FASTER.

Qualifying is to be done during the weekly races on Sunday mornings.

Cobani, can you run the weekly races if myself or Kurt are absent? Let me know bro.

Any driver who drove the entire 4 hour race in October is already qualified.

Any questions let me know.

FYI I'm unable to race this weekend's practice due to work, Cobani can you advise if you can steward? Same as I always run it but if questions let me know.

Cheers guys :)

EDIT:

Just saw a message from Cobani whose confirmed he's on a tight schedule for a bit so no stewarding it seems, is anyone else able to help out?

Does and existing Crap Endurance License qualify me?

Unfortunately not, that would not be fair on the non CRAP members but you shouldn't have any problems nailing it mate 👍

I am good for this Sunday's practice/race. Hope to see you there.👍

But you drove the full event in october so doesn't that qualify you?

EDIT: Also what time is the practice session? Will see if I can make it, but suspect it will be close enough behind the CRAP enduro that it will really mess up my sleep pattern...

David, no I did practises either side of it but I was away on holiday for that October race.

OK, I'll go for a practise and do it the hard way. I hope this weeks happens as last week I logged on and could see no one else around at the agreed time :(
