Hope they patch it sooner than later.
I know they plan to improve driving lines eventually on some slower tracks. However, it's a balancing act, because AI uses simplified physics, which can cause some unintended crashes and flips or make them running wide, if they take a perfect line on some tracks.Hope they patch it sooner than later.
Not related things. There's physics/AI coders and there's animation artists.I hope they can sort it. I'd rather they spend more time on things like this first rather than things like pit crew animations
Haven't the time to do an in depth GT3/higher tier test today so maybe someone else could try Although I did just try this :
Quick race weekend, no assists, Pro Handling, 100% difficulty.
GT3 at Oulton Park Stock Setup in Ruf GT3 against 20 other AI GT3 cars.
10 min Practice 4th, Qly 2nd, Race 4 laps 17th... I lost it through Cascades and dropped to 12th and then lost more places on the Lakeside straight back to last. I clawed some places back on the subsequent laps as the AI were slower than me on the exit of the Brittons chicane.
It did seem slightly more challenging although Oulton is a tight circuit with only a couple of passing spots.
With some proper practice and a better setup I think I could win quite easily.
I use a wheel and am an average paced sim racer.
Gt4Will do. Pick a Class for me.
On a very positive note, that bodes well for the game in general, the spread of best lap times between 7th and 16th is only 0.45 secondsView attachment 356010 Well on my kids life I have never raced here. Qly complete. Didn't nail a lap and finished 9th out of 16 for the race.
AI seem faster... Or I'm slower.
Just so you know, the "national" series for classes and tiers with multiple series have easier AI drivers than their "regional/world" series. I've heard the difference is about 5% lower AI strength on average.Haven't the time to do an in depth GT3/higher tier test today so maybe someone else could try
In the Eurogamer performance comparison, they mentioned that career races are capped at 20 cars.
Is this true??
I can't imagine the career endurance series to be capped at 20...
No. The multiclass races have much bigger grids (>35 cars).
