But in the end, its still a game. If it happened in real life, I'd accept it as being part of motorsport. But in a game, I just want to race. Just personal preference I guess. Hopefully it doesn't happen to me!
Still in my first season in karts atm, haven't had much time to play lately. Actually, I've only put 5 hours total into this game, and I've been a WMD backer since 2011

Pitstops...I hate them. Ruined two of my pit stops too. Dropped from comfortable 1st to 15th both times.

For those that did the Clio Cup, at what point do you usually pit in? I have pitted in usually one lap after halfway point (100% length), but most of the times it has worked against me, and am tempted to try pitting in earlier

I usually pit for tires 1 lap past midrace, or earlier if i get stuck behind a nasty AI... Sometimes you find one that doesn't want to let you through lol

I can't believe they actually implemented pit crew mistakes. What a stupid idea, maybe a novelty the first time, but it would just piss me off.
What's next, 'Mechanic says the engines not running right, you won't be racing today'
Could add to further 'immersion'.

In ginetta, GT5.
Well i can't say i was happy when i got pit issues at brands after being sent out turn 1... Rejoined track in 17th place raced through like mad, managed to get back to 4th before pitting and managed to top my teammate (and championship rival) entered pits and starting to aim for 3rd place. Stig told me 3 times they had a problem with a wheel bolt >_> lost like 20 seconds or more. Rejoined track like a fury, managed a few passes and took advantage of a late pitter. Finished 7th, 2 positions down my teammate and rival... Was smoking, but it was an experience!

I just hope i won't have to re-run championship in case i end in second place! That would ANNOY ME TO DEATH lol

BTW, do you get offers for better serie drives only if you win your championship? If so it's not very realistic and might make that pit mistake an issue :D

Here topping the bast-erm, teammate in race 1 :D

A couple of things I've learned today:

- The 25hrs of Bathurst is a hard race! Still running it, but so far there is a great mix of cars and good racing. I'm currently running 3rd.
- My AI driver is 7s a lap slower than me so I have to play catch up after I give him a stint.
- If you map a 'pit in' button, you can use it to call in your AI driver.
- The profiler is awesome in an endurance race. It lets you know how many laps you can still run with your current fuel and gives a lot of other interesting info.
- The brakes take 'damage' during a stint, I guess this equals brake fade.
- The things that let you go fast in GT6 don't work in PCars. I have to 'unlearn' quite a bit.

Still in my 2nd season.

I like the pit crew mistakes because that little bit of frustration with your crew helps to further the immersion for me personally, but I think it needs to be toned down quite a bit. I feel like 1 in every 5 pit stops ends with my crew losing a wheel nut (which is so incompetent I can't even believe) and me losing 5 positions. I'm in GT4 in my career, so I'd hope I'd have a few professionals in my pit box, but I guess not.

This may have been asked before and I apologize if I'm asking again, but are they any confirm news on Capers getting a season in career mode? Have the "coming soon" ones been posted anywhere?

I had a weird thing happen at brands in the Clio championship race. Down the main straight a jolt is sent through the wheel and the camera position switches and the wipers come on without me touching anything, it was pretty funny. I must admit, I hate that first corner at brands, I always miss my braking point.

Does career mode Le Mans have LMP1, LMP2 and GT's? And is there a series in career mode with all of those? I'm about to win the US GT3 championship so I'm curious. :P

I'm not 100% positive because I haven't gotten there personally, but from what I've heard the Endurance series does include all of the classes you listed.

Sweeeeeet! :D Hopefully this is true, cause' I'm really wanting to be in GT in the WEC in PCARS. :3

Blimey! PCars is so realistic, they're including dodgy French auto electrics too! 👍

Just won the 24 hours of lemans! 2nd overall in a P2 with AI on the hardest setting!

Hey , well first of all, congrats to you xD
As I Love Le mans , I have a few questions
1. does the wec 24 h le mans race include lmp1 lmp2 and gt3 cars?
2. how did you make it to le mans which Series did u do to Get invided or to get a full Season contract or which career "path" did you choose? Being curious :D

I usually try to judge it based on the white pit exit line divider thing rather than any boards.

1. Yes, and GT4 to simulate a GTE AM class
2. I started out in the American Endurance Championship and I got invited to the WEC. It was Spa, and then Lemans just like in real life.

Just started my fifth season. Only doing occasional invitational events for now so focusing mainly on the main series I'm racing.

Started in Karts, one the UK nationals, just, then won Kart One with 1 race spare. Followed it up with the Glencairn Kart Club invitational what I won at a canter.

Went into superkarts for S2, utilising the Dubai Superkarts invitational to get a feel for them ahead of the nationals and the main event. Won both fairly easily. Finished the season with a UK based Caterham invitational made up of 4 races. Came 3rd overall.

Moved to tin tops for S3, Gridstorm Racings Clio. Won the opener, then failed to win again but raced consistently enough to win the championship in the main race at Brands Hatch right at the death.

S4, Not content with only one win I stuck with the Clios, taking 7 wins from 10. Struggling mainly at Snetterton and Oulton Park after a fumbled pit stop cost me dear in the latter and poor setup hindered the former. Also took 2nd place in the Monza Pagani invitational event.

Now into S5 and the journey through tin top and GT racing continues with the Ginetta G40 juniors.

So, won the Ginetta G40 UK challenge, just, was pretty tough to turn it around after some poor races but managed it.

Signed for team SBR in the GT4 class. Driving the V8 Vantage, tough going in the UK challenge, an engine failure and badly botched pit stop stopping me winning the series, finishing 6 points off top in 2nd place. Still, sends me into the GT4 Euro series in good stead, and having won the sprint race at Hockenheim, things have started well.

How do you know a pit crew mistake happens? Is it just length of time (estimate is 15 secs but takes 30 secs) or is there a message?

I would prefer no mistakes. There is already enough challenge and fun of calculating fuel wear, tire wear and pit stop delta.

I REALLY hope having 4 wins in the US GT3 Trophy and winning the championship gets me into the endurance series'. Also gonna try and win the classic DTM and Stockcar series'.

The engineer comes across the radio saying what's going on.

Currently doing the M1 Procar invitational still in season 1. Won the Clio Cup being able to win the final two races. Man that was an up an down ride. Wasn't consistent at all but luckily I was able to close the gap between the shuffling of points by the people in front of me. First race at Spa with the M1 was amazing. Qualified 9th and from the line to that uphill curve to the straight I was able to go from 9th to 3rd. At the end of the race I ended up winning. Having a hard time in race 2 with Zolder, doing qualifying atm

We need to start using the spoiler button :lol::confused:

So I made my way onto Formula Gulf and taking a look at my accolades, I see that on my previous season on Formula Rookie I completed the Formula UK Challenge, Formula Euro Trophy and the Formula Rookie World Championship but not Formula Rookie German Challenge and Formula Rookie US Challenge. Is it normal for this to happen? I didn't skip any races other than some invitational events that I already mastered, hopefully I can still be invited to those events this season.

It is normal, yes. You start in one of the three regions, I think they call it. There you compete for a seat in the euro challenge.

You were told that in the little intro movie to the formula rookie series. I missed it too in my first Formula C season :P
