I'm still in season 1, doing invitationals that I was invited to. Finished the kart invitational, skipped the Caterham and F1 one, and currently doing M1 Procar Historical Races. Come season 2 I anticipate being offered to move up a tier, which brings my conundrum...I want to move up so I can get to GT3 faster, but then I also want to race the Clios one more season cause it's so much fun (well except for the one at Brands Hatch...in that case it's a nightmare)!!! #FirstWorldProblems

I created a spreadsheet using the data on the career dashboard to list the major championships in the game. If anyone is going to try and 'win it all' feel free to download it and use it to track your progress!
Would have been nice if the Track/Layout was listed along with the event.
Seems odd that in the game you have to actually enter some of these events before you see which track it is on.

First season of the Clio Cup, I am currently 3rd in the standings four races in heading to round 3. Still haven't got my first win but my placings have been: 5,4,7,3. Getting closer and Snertton is a bit of a hiccup track for me so it felt good to get my first podium there. Top 3 currently:
  1. Thomas Rosendahl - 116 pts
  2. Tom Repp - 86 pts
  3. Brendan Rorrison(Me) - 77 pts
Will be aiming for full points this upcoming round. Get myself right back in the hunt.

@HBR-Roadhog I was going to make some heavy changes to make it a bit more in-depth but I don't really have the time until Friday since I have my last exam on Thursday. Will be sure to update it. :)

Lovely! My difference from 1st place when I was heading to round 3 was even worse, I think I was 5th or 6th. My placings were 12th, 10th, 1st, 6th iirc. Luckily in the later rounds for me the championship leaders all finished below me or very close to me for me to be able to catch up and win the championship. Good luck to you!

Just got done with my third season finally and won the super kart championship. After that I did some inventational events and then the season was over. I got like 4 contract offers and it was a hard decision between LMP3, LMP2 and GT3. But I decide to go with GT3. Things I notice with gt3 is that it's a lot of qualifying and practice sessions. But hey I need as much practice as possible. Getting better everyday with this game. I had the difficulty at 100% when I was doing superkarts like I said before because the AI was so easy. But now I'm about to go back to 80% AI. The career mode has been frustrating but enjoyable at the same time so far.:) On to season 4.

Finished GT5 winning the championship pretty easy. Surprisingly, loads of offers including lmp3, GT3, several in GT4 and an offer in Formula C. Gonna jump straight to GT3.

Had my most entertaining race yet last night. Racing GT5 at Donnington [a track I do not know very well yet] Started in 9th on the 5 lap race [not sure why 9th as I had taken the poll in qualifying, maybe random grid for that race?] Anyway I moved up to the top 3 quickly but then went off track trying to get another spot and spun in the grass dropping back several positions. Back on track managed to get back 5 or so positions but then got sideways in a corner and made contact with another car, both of us ended up in the grass.

From there it was a battle already on lap 3 and not in the top 10 I had to pit and then drive hard to try to get back to the front of the pack. I fell just short in the end finishing 2nd about 2 feet of the rear bumper of the winner.

It was quite a lot of fun trying to get through the AI after the early mishaps caused me to fall back so far.

Ok so I finished the Formula Gulf season and just started my Formula C season but yet I keep receiving the same invitational events, over and over again and I'm not being invited to them like before. What's wrong?

Once you have an invite it's there for you every year.
Yes but for over 2 seasons, I haven't got a new invitation. Is it because I'm not repeating those I played before or do I need to do something to unlock them?

Got through the Clio Cup - it was fun but I do not enjoy FWD that much. Now I got into the Ginetta G40 (GT5), it is a fun little car, Miata-ish. What a blast that first race was 👍

Done 1 invitational so far,

Really can't be bothered to pro long the season any longer than it needs to be, at some point I may go back and do them but not for awhile.

Take a look at the invitations page in your career overview... It states what you have to achieve to unlock new ones... Most of them are things like "drive 100 career laps", "complete 42 career races", "win this or that race" etc...

Does team matter? Meaning what team you pick to drive for. I know there are better cars than others within a given series, but what about the actual team?

At a wonderful sweet spot in between seasons. Just finished my second in the G20 Jnr and am running invitation events before the start of the next.

Its alternating weekends in a BWM M1 Procar and Catherham Seven Classic, total and utter contrast in cars.

Skipped the Caterham for now, as I am not skilled enough to drive that. But the M1 is glorious. Especially on Spa, that was an amazing race!

Can anyone comment on the weather in Clio Cup? I had a dry-wet-dry qualifying session at Snetterton, then in the second race an Oulton Park, a dry start (in fog) then rain at the end of the first or second lap.

I'm running at 50% session length and some of these transitions seemed suspiciously quick - are these weather sequences scripted in place for everyone?

Oh I'm rubbish in the Caterham right now, particularly with going straight from the M1 Procar; totally and utterly different to drive in every single way.

The M1 you can lean on so hard and it just keeps giving (well until you overload the tyres and then its hello backwards spinyness), while the Seven Classic you have to 'dance' around every corner. Brute force to ballet.

Yes, the weather is the same for each race in career, long session lengths can actually help particulrly during the Main Race as it gives you more chance to react to it and get the right tyres in place during the pit stop.

I eventually finished season 2 and had a bunch of contract offers, probably because I've been doing every invitational event. Took a contract for Formula rookie for season 3 and I'm really looking forward to getting into it.

This is the most fun I've had in single player mode since forever.

Apologies if this has been asked already, but is there a way to get rid of that annoying setup resetting everytime you enter the setup screen? It doesn't even reset to the default setup you get when pressing the triangle-button, but some wonky setup with crazy rear brake bias, messed up steering and gear ratios, and a full tank.
So infuriating having to do the setup over and over again. And if you can't remember it, tough luck. :banghead:

I had the exact same problem yesterday in qualifying. Everytime i went to the pits, the setup was changed.

Working from home today so did the next round of the M1 Procar events at Zolder during lunch.

Suffered from the Pit Garage bug numerous times during practice and qualifying (as did a few of the AI) :banghead:

Got punted off early in the first lap (SMS can we please have penalties for the AI - they need it at times) and ended up at the back, however at the end of the first lap half the field pitted, putting me back to 7th. Not sure if they messed up braking for the chicane next to the pit-lane entrance or had a physic message that it would start raining.

Anyway managed to get up to 4th before the rain started in earnest, held off the cars behind me for two laps and then passed the car in front at the last hairpin for third and held him off through the final chicane to finish on the podium.

Another excellent race despite the pit garage bug acting like a car crusher numerous times.

What specifically is the pit garage bug, if you don't mind me asking?

Its when the 'building' for the pit garage can't be seen and when you leave the garage its as if you are driving through the garage door. It can do anything from just making a nasty noise to almost destroying the car (windscreen shattered, major body damage and collision penalty).

@Scaff - did you pit during the race to change to wets? If not, then I'm very impressed that you were able to catch and pass and AI car.
Nope stayed on the slicks, the rain wasn't that bad (well as bad as I had been dealing with in the G40 Jnr championship) and the tyres were already overheating. So the rain helped cool them a little and I ensured I only braked and accelerated in a straight line and was as smooth as possible with every steering input. I had to set the pass up way back by taking he right line and keeping him to my left, ensured I could get down the inside on the final hairpin, he also messed up and ran a bit wide From that point at Zonder its fairly straightforward to defend for the final chicane given that when he ran wide he lot the opportunity to catch and pass me on the straight.

It was heart in mouth for all of the last two laps however.

Is there anyway to see what tyres you are on during a race? I might be just being stupid but I can't actually see any information that tells you this on the telemetry HUD.

You can see tyre temp across inner/middle/outer for all four tyres in the telemetry HUD, I use it quite a bit. You can see it above the tyre in the video example below.

Its also worth assigning the MOTEC switch to a button as some cars allow you to then view the tyre temps on the dash, like the Radical SR3.
As you can see here:

I'm still deciding on what car to go to in GT4, I've tried the Aston V8 Vantage and it doesn't fit my driving style at all, with the Ginetta I seem to get miles and miles of understeer, never tested the Rapide or the Boss 302. Any suggestions/tunes?
