I'm in love with the Aston Martin V8... At least so far after the first round at dubai, hope i didn't chose the wrong car lol

I'm thinking of going with the Ginetta (just because I'm a Ginetta fanboy, lol), but I just don't like the understeer in it. When I push it and put any sort of power into it, I get a million wheelspins and spin. I need a good tune for it if I'm going for it.

Is formula Rookie and the Ginetta Jnrs on the same level as Clio? So i can do all disciplines on different seasons? I dont fancy going up a tier just yet...

Anyone have a link to a Career "guide?" Something that lists all the races, locations, etc.

Just started GT4 Asian Series at Dubai, from my troubled beginning with the game I think Bathurst is next, but then what, where does the series go from there and how many rounds are there?

No

Clio is tier 6 in the GT path. GT5 is tier 5 of that same path
Formula rookie is Tier6 in the open wheel path

Ah ok...so can i not go from clio to formula rookie? Or just create a new career for that?

You can go to whatever you have an offer for. It is up to you where you go. All depends on what you want to do.

I went from Clio to GT5 to GT4 but could have moved to another path if I wanted to.

I went there, the other race is Suzuka well Sukatto? Or however it's spelt.

It's 3 rounds then it's the world championship if you qualify.

Which endurance races are there in the career mode at the moment? I know there is 24h of Le Mans, but what about other ones? Bathurst 12h, Brno 12h, Nürburgring 24h, Dubai 24h, Spa 24h etc.?

So far I've had 3 hrs at Zolder, 24 hrs Le Mans, 25 hrs Bathurst, and 25 hrs Green Hell.
Oh, and I'm in season 3 and started my career in tier 8.

Heavily struggled at Silverstone in the Clios.

Seemed like I was just losing pace the entire race on straight-aways. Was strange.:boggled:

how did he do? and can you set the amount of laps the AI does on your behalf?

In Zolder he was faster than the other AI, but not in the other races. At Bathurst I gave him the car in 1st place and when I looked in the morning he was in 8th so I was not pleased but soldiered on.

When you pit and swap drivers, the amount of fuel you put in will determine how many laps the AI does, but you can call him in at any time with request pitstop command.

I only won the Zolder race, but I still have 8 seasons in the zero to hero, so I'll definitely be doing the endurance races again.

My question is, is there any multi class racing in Career mode? And how do they score it if there is?

Yes. The Euro TC(?) is multi-class event with Evo's, BMW's making up C1's and I was in a Renault Megane as a C2. Qualification is decided on your lap times regardless of class, I had AI level set a little low so ended up in a group of C1's towards the front.

As for the race, the HUD displayed times to the vehicles in front and behind, whether or not they were in your class, while the position indicated your spot relative to your class. Points were awarded based on your class.

sorry a question,
i started the career with clios (80% difficulty) scored pole by 1second on every round and won all the races but not with big margins. for ex in silverstone just by 0.500.

Then i went for an invitational (TD brands) wirh Audi R8, even driving at my maximum i was only able to get 5th as the AI was using a super fast bac mono. So i decided to turn difficulty down to 70% and i won.

Moved then to gt5 with ginetta g40 and turned again to the standard 80%. I made the first practice and i was 5 second faster than the 2nd storming though the field... i do not get how difficulty setting works in this career. Any other?

They're simply faster there. But I didn't lose places on the straights. I lost them in the last two corners. They could simply dive-bomb the corners with no regard and make it stick every time.

I think it might have something to do with the AI not being held within the same physics constraints "we" are.

With the AI at 100%, I could run very, very similar lap times to them. I even got P1 in qualifying for both races, but they could always, always out-brake me at the final hairpin.
I was able to block and finish 3rd for the first race, remarkably. But the second race, I lost a spot in the pit cycle and was never able to recover. I ended up 8th just trying to push as hard as I could. If I did not have at least a second gap going down the straight, they were able to pass me with ease.

I would actually love to hear from someone who is able to hang with the AI there during a race. For me, with the AI at 100%, it is impossible.

I had major problems there too actually, that's when they would begin their slipstream and knock me out of the park. Doesn't seem very fair that the AI can seemingly run in their own little planet of Need for Speed physics.

At a wonderful sweet spot in between seasons. Just finished my second in the G20 Jnr and am running invitation events before the start of the next.

Its alternating weekends in a BWM M1 Procar and Catherham Seven Classic, total and utter contrast in cars.

Have you got to the Zolder race in the M1? Theres something seriously wrong there...when you come out of the pits you crash into an invisible wall and wreck the car everytime?!!

So i went straight to the race and the car was drifting sideways when under braking, with no damage aswell..it was unplayable. Worst bug ive seen so far.

I hope that is not everything. They have plenty of tracks in game, where big and major long-distance races take place. Would be a shame to not use this potential.

And btw: Anyone has an idea on why those races at Mount Panorama and Nordschleife take 25 hours and not the regular 24h?

Yes.

I'm in LMP1 just did my first race, 30 car grid with LMP2, GT4 and GT3, I won the race and finished 1/6 for LMP1

Thanks for the info. I hope to be getting a new PS4 and TV sometime next month.

I think licensing but that's really just a thought.

There isn't even a 24 hour race at Bathurst, is there? So I think this isn't the problem here. Could be the case with Nordschleife, though. But that may change once/if SMS brings the Nürburgring+Nordschleife layout in.

I had it happen during both Practice and Qualifying, I just kept going back to the pit garage and out until I got out without damage (it also happens to the AI cars - saw a few of the wrecked as well).

Managed to qualify mid grid and can in third in the race....

There was back in 2002 and 2003.

And what about the M1 braking? Mine was just drifting off to the side all the time when it was totally fine at Spa. It seemed the pit bug triggered it...i couldnt race Zolder and Laguna Seca cos of it.

The car will pull if you have the steering turned even remotely when braking, but I had that at Spa as well, found it helps to set the car up quite nicely.

I had a wonderful round at Laguna Seca, with a third place finish despite a run off at the Corkscrew on lap 4 (of 5).

I felt like I had it figured out by the end of the weekend. I think my qualifying results had me 5th and 7th, or something like that. I had a hard time in the first race, but was making mental notes on where I was loosing time to the AI, with the two biggest causes of timeloss being Becketts and Club.

I was having trouble sighting the entry at Becketts and would end up either braking too earlier or turning in too early. I used a small patch of concrete (maybe even an access road) on the left as my braking point and found that you can carry a lot of speed through the corner, especially if you use all the road on exit.

Club was the other (and probably most important), which was simply me driving too deep into the first part of the corner. I found that the Clio is quite happy to curb hop rather aggressively and that the best way around Club was to brake hard and turn in very early, using all of the available curb on the left hander, all while aiming at the apex of the first right hander, then flowing it through onto the home straight. This sequence is also critical for setting up passing moves at Village.

I managed a 6th in the first race, but by the second race I had identified all these areas and put them to good use. I pitted from 5th as soon as the pit window opened and was able to use clear track to jump myself up to 3rd by the end of the pitstop cycle. I attempted a pass for 2nd at Village on the last lap, but couldn't pull it off. At first I had thought I didn't like the new International layout, but by the end of this race, I was enjoying it.
