Alright fellas, I need some Career advice.

Season 1: Clio Cup
Season 2: GT5 - G40
Season 3: ??

My preferred options are GT4 OR Formula Rookie.
I would really like to go to GT4 and drive the Aston, but I am pretty while tired of all the British tracks at this point. Ideally I'd pick the one that put me on some more varied tracks.

I am really hoping to never have to race at Snetterton ever again.

Well in the formula rookie you can choose to start with the UK tracks or you can choose the US championship whihc will send you to Watkins Glenn and then Sonoma, not sure beyond that as I have not yet driven the Sonoma event. I am hoping it goes on to Laguna Seca and or Willow Springs, Road America would be cool too though maybe a little long for the formula rookie car

GT4 I think start with Sakita then Bathhurst also runs Zolder and I forget what the others are
 
I had 3 options for GT4, UK, USA and Asia-Pacific.

Am I reading correct that it's possible to change the AI difficulty after qualifying? This might help me out, as they are too slow in qual but too fast in the race.

However, it still is just a band-aid, as going from obscene dominance to slower-than-last-despite-qualifying-on-pole is neither realistic or enjoyable.

Quick question - has anyone found a happy medium between being and to pass and be passed by the AI? Not just one or the other?
 
PS4 user , have the same problem with the setup .
Start to tune the car , drive the car leave the car ,take another one coming back to the first car .....bang setup is gonna away .Now I right the setup down on a paper .Some cars have it some don't .

Ariel atom supercharged has it.
 
I'm not sure if all tiers have 2 chamionships, but I know karts and rookie both have a regional and international championship. Maybe someone who is further into career can confirm.

Formula rookie has regional, international and world championships.

Did anyone got invited to the invitational events requiring 500, 1000 laps completed; completing 42 career races; winning 2/4 team championships?

Certainly you can for the GT3 events (I went straight from GT5 to GT3, didn't even get a GT4 offer), so I expect GT4 is the same.

No. It's a known issue, I think. At least for the PC version. Maybe. If I remember correctly. Hope it gets fixed!

You can alter the AI difficulty between Qualifying and Race if you exit after Qualifying session has ended.

When you select the event again, from the calendar, it will go to the race entry where you can alter the AI difficulty and race length once more.
 
When you get invitations you can skip them right? Now is it better to skip ones you don't think you will be good at or do every one you are invited to?
 
I am trying for the zero to hero accomplishment, I have just won the cup on the karts, so do I now start a new career or just keep going with my karts career?

Keep going. You should have an offer for superkarts and some invitational.

Why would you need to start a new career? I don't quit a job and find a new one every time I get promoted.
 
Yes I got an invitational for an historic race but not for super karts, that is why I was wondering if I had to start a new one,and I was only asking a question m8 I don't see the need for sarcasm.

Do the invitations or skip them then you will get an offer at the end of the year. 2 for superkarts and 1 to remain in karts iirc.

By the looks of it, it's an issue present in every platform. I was really in the mood of unlocking every single event and completing them but with this bug, eh... :indiff:
 
Going from a shoddy graphics card and CPU where I could barely reach 60 fps hotlapping on the lowest video settings to installing my new GTX 960 and FX8320E jumping straight into a kart race at sunset has blown me away.

Won my first season with a few poor performances in the first few races. Got the AI to 100, they're very good at that level but they'd be even better if they sorted out the lines they take into some of the corners. Overall though I'm very impressed. 👍 On to the super karts. :D
 
Currently racing in the clios but I am becoming increasingly annoyed at the gear shift sound which sounds like the sound is glitching out or the car is being hit by another. If I use the chase cam the issue disappears, I do not get the same problem in any other cars.

Has anyone else witnesses this? Anything I can do to resolve it?
 
It's just standard clip cup naked transmission sequential shift sounds.

So the car is supposed to sound like that? No other car sounds anything like it, the sound I get isn't even recognisable as a shift and is far different from the chase cam shift sound..
 
In races where the weather changes i am getting ****ed. The computer drivers do not pit to change to wets, so when it starts to rain i am on slicks so i am buggered ,whereas they just waltz on, happy as can be. i have tried starting on inters to try and compete but i end up being too slow in the dry and too slow when it becomes wet. I liek to race on 100% but during these races i have to reduce the difficulty. When are they going to patch this **** (Ps4).

Are the cpu starting on wets? they seem too quick in dry conditions for this to be the case. If i increase the race duration, would they then pit? I don't want to increase the length to 100% and find out that the same thing happens.

How are you guys getting around this? Categories that have mandatory pitstops aren't an issue but ones like LMP2 that don't have a mandatory stop are ruined.

Its a known issue and its being worked on and should be addressed in an upcoming patch.
 
I just finished my first Ginetta GT5 cup and finished 2nd - but about 70 pts behind leader! I think im going to have to be more tactical next time as i kind of know the weather patterns. Silverstone started raining at the end and i totally lost it! Also Donington in the final race,the sun is a right pain,i had to change to bonnet cam to see the corner!
I have to remember to change to softs in the pitstop in the main race as it drys off and i made some great time up on the AI. Despite the weather issues,i really enjoyed that.

So I'm currently in the WEC driving an Oreca P2. The track I'm currently racing on is Dubai which is amazing in a P2!

You got offer to drive M3? I only got invitation to drive the Mustang, Aston, and Ginetta, and I chose the Aston. And boy is Sakitto a tricky track to drive. Love it, but mess up all the time lol.

Yup. I'm having the same experience with the 302. I'd gain ground on the straight but they'd walk away in the corners. I didn't have much trouble with the Ginettas at Bathurst and they seem to be absent from the UK championship rounds.
